Boss, a calm and tenacious policeman, crosses paths with Tod, an easy-going swindler who stages boxing matches in order to profit off failed bets, while investigating the case of a gold shop robbery that involved the death of one of the thieves. To avoid going to jail, Tod accepts using his knowledge of the underworld to aid the investigation, but their partnership doesn't last long as the pursuit of the main fugitive leads to a suspicious dead end and soon after Boss is instructed by his superior to drop the case. Refusing to put duty before what's right, Boss requests Tod's help once more and the unlikely duo set out to uncover a series of greed-driven betrayals over the famous missing gold loot. Review of Furious Duo — A Total Trainwreck
I don’t even know where to begin — Furious Duo is an absolute disaster. Is this supposed to be a BL? Really? They’re selling us a romance, but what we actually get is a painfully awkward mess that feels like a parody — badly acted, poorly shot, with actors who seem to have zero experience or presence on screen. The direction is abysmal, the acting is non-existent, the dialogue is hollow, and the whole thing gives off the vibe of a rushed project with no passion, no vision, and no professionalism. There’s zero emotion, no chemistry, and not even the ghost of a plot. Nothing works.
At first, I honestly thought it was some kind of meta joke — like maybe one of the characters was watching a crappy show within the show. But no. That’s actually the real series. This is it. And it’s awful.
I can’t even understand how this qualifies as a BL. There’s no actual love story, no romantic tension, no respect for the genre. Just a giant void.
My advice? Run. Don’t waste your time. This isn’t just bad — it’s downright insulting.
