Mr. Lai drives the night shift in his taxi. One night, he picks up a motley crew of passengers on a ride-share fare. An unidentified man, a businesswoman who is working late into the night, a kitchen staff stinking of cooking oil, and a recently jilted young woman. On their journey from Mong Kok to Tung Chung, a knife falls out of the bag of the kitchen staff.
