I’ve seen fanfiction better written than this

The beggining was promising, and I liked how they got straight to the point, but it felt kinda rushed. And the characters? Oh god! The only likable person is the ML, seeing he’s kind and caring. But the FL? A door has more attitude than her. Watching her scenes was frustrating.

The only reason I watched all the way through it’s because it’s short, but I kinda feel like I wasted some time here.

Also, the romance was pretty lame, and they’re chemistry was lacking passion and stuff like that. Even that scene where they’re in bed together isn’t entertaining, it FEELS like I watching a show, a made up romance, and not something real.

So yeah, only gave this a few stars because it cured my boredom for a few hours

short and painless

i love the fl actress. i love her soft voice and her quiet demeanor. however, i wish they would cast her into something else for once. its like she is playing the same character over and over and over. i believe she is a good actress. but apparently the only emotion the director can bring out of her is depressed tortured sad puppy. maybe even as bad as cold fish. i mean come on, you haven’t seen your bf in a while, he just acted super cute, hugs you and you star into the abyss stiff without emotional reaction. especially when the partner is that hot. i mean daaaamn! he is so cute in his behavior and his confessions and she just stares and nothing. a cold and dead has more emotional range. the story was good. the fiance was off her rockers and could be the daughter of the ml mother. what a truly horrible person. i usually always hope for reunion and all but that b needs to be pushed off a cliff. all in all it’s a cute little drama. might rewatchbit if I’m bored and need a happy ending. i hope they will cast the fl in different roles and i hope to see the ml again. and the dimples of that brother….omg! why does nobody talk about that?! the dimples alone are worth watching this 😍

Wattpad Romance but questionable takes

I went to the show expecting a wattpad romance and this IS what I got, but I still had a few things that rubbed me off in a way that I can't rate it higher even when I watched it without expectations.

1. Both the leads are almost thirty (29 i believe to be exact) and yet their behaviour is so immature and frustrating. for eg,
a. Male Lead wants to take revenge from Female Lead. why? well as a kid he was overweight, the FL treated him like a friend instead of bullying him and when he asked her out she said they weren't a good match. yep. That's it. This almost 30yo wants revenge over that. (and the way the drama wants to justify it later does nothing to what an alarming thought process he has -- in the last episode he says "in next 12 years too, i would be here supporting you" and all i could think was who fucking knows brother, maybe youd think she didnt treat you correct and would demand revenge over it)
b. FL has absolutely no personality and i know plane janes are the first requirement for a wattpad romance but MY GOD WOMAN DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING, OTHER THAN LOOKING TROUBLED and/or telling yourself/others how ML saved you.

2. The 2ML literally sexually assaults her - hugs her without her consent twice, things that should call office HR but it is all brushed off and he gets a redemption arc ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!

3. Apart from the FL, it feels like every woman was a b*tch, no other word to explain their roles - the FL's mother, the ML's mother, the ex's gf, the ML's fiancee. Such weird writing choices because how is every woman bad in this universe (or irrelevant) other than the FL? Did the FL even have female friends?

4. Also, yes I questioned the writing choice to make women villains, but in a contradictory point I would also like to express my hate for how many asian dramas, including this one, just excuse abusive parents under the "oh they just want good for you" carpet. the parents never apologise, the children are just expected to understand -- and pulling this trick in the last 15 mins of the show? DERANGED.

Fadt Lane To A Hard Braje

This actually wasn’t a bad watch, I actually enjoyed the story and I have to give credit to the ML and then the 2ML as they made the series palatable.

The FL wasn’t bad in her role, she just had a very stiff frame all the time. Even when in the1st intimate scene - which really wasn’t intimate and lacked even a hint of affection from her to the ML.

Then there was the ML and 2ML’s mother, who needed a reality check and a very snug fitting straight jacket with extra long sleeves and industrial grade fasteners. Rhe actress played the evil, calculating personality quite well. Her face transformed into another person when she let loose (like Bilbo Bagginsvwhen he saw the one ring around Frodos neck), and then instantly back to her false persona of a caring parent.

There could have been a few more episodes to fill in and make it feel less like a hard brake on the freeway during rush hour, as the transition between episodes made you feel like you missed something and realizing it never happened.

Asude from those things, I actually enjoyed the story and seeing the ML’s personality develop. He handled that quite well for an 8 ep drama.

Tge 2nd ML his true identity well, and his emotions in check for most of his part in the story, and then unleashed them with great finesse.

I’m not sure this would be a drama I would run to if I was looking for a quick watch, BUT, I will watch it again at some point. Sonetimes doin that can help you pick up on things we might have missed and change my thoughts on it.

Overall, watch it. It’s not a cringey drama and has a ML and 2ML who worth worth keeping an eye on.

Lover's Revenge: 12/28/2025 - 12/29/2025

This show started off really promising but lowkey the plot was all over the place. Like it flowed correctly but there was way more plot points then there needed to be. Like it was literally plot line bingo. Plus, the many storylines being fake dating for revenge only lasted like the first 4 episodes, then it turned to a whole different storyline. It was good but I think it was too much going on especially in such a short time. I also almost forgot but it makes no sense why this is rated R, like literally nothing inappropriate took place besides maybe two scenes inferring they hooked up, one more so than the other but still nothing bad.

Surprisingly Solid

When it comes to J-Dramas, I don't expect much, however, this drama was one of the better ones due to its pace. Everything moved very quickly with no long drawn out angst or misunderstandings. That being said, you get a good dose of the ole tyrannical parent drama device. ML's mother is a piece of work. What a controlling harpy! Thankfully, ML's stepfather put the old hag in her place and supported ML's choice of marriage partner even though he was not ML's biological father and he was basically the CEO of the company. Bravo, stepdad! For some reason, mom thought she had to make an advantageous marriage for ML without even consulting whether her husband felt the same way. FL's mom wasn't the greastest either, but ML's mom is the villianess of the piece. Just a personal preference: I really don't like the actress that plays FL. She always looks pained and gloomy, and geesh, do something with her hair, ok? Part it at the side or cut it so it has more body instead of laying on her forehead like a drowned rat.

-The leads are doing Olympic-level backpacking carrying this script.
-The soundtrack goes unnecessarily hard.
-A few emotional moments slip in like the writers forgot they were speedrunning.

🙄 THE “Cliché% Any% Run” PACKAGE:
-Toxic ex ✔
-CEO savior ✔
-Trauma origin story ✔
-Random breakup twist ✔
-Complete romance cycle ✔
All smashed into 8 episodes of 20 mins like a TikTok version of a K-drama.

🤦 THE “CHEAP BUT KINDA FUN” ENERGY:
-Looks cracky, feels cheap.
-Scenes either drag forever or teleport forward like someone hit “fast travel.”
-Emotions appear out of nowhere — DLC cutscenes with no buildup.

💋 THE “DISTRACTIONS WERE DISTRACTING” DEPARTMENT:
-The girls are THONK.
-Camera knows. You know. Everyone knows.

🔥 THE “WHY AM I LOW-KEY INVESTED?” ZONE:
-It’s messy, rushed, predictable…
-but also dangerously watchable if you turn your brain off or you're a 13 years old who just learned about romance.
-Like fast food: bad for you, but you still bite.

🎯 FINAL VERDICT:
“A chaotic, cliché loaded romance sprint. Cheap, rushed, dumb… but somehow not as boring.”

✔ Watch if:
You want CEO romance chaos and can enjoy trash somehow beautifully wrapped.

You require pacing, logic, or basic dignity from your plot.

The Revenge Lover runs barely twenty minutes per episode, yet it rushes through everything. By episode two, there are hugs, firings, and a boss already in love. Everything happens so fast it leaves no room to feel anything. It’s the perfect summary of many recent J-dramas: trying to squeeze three stories into ninety minutes and ending up with an express revenge, an instant romance, and cardboard characters. It’s unsatisfying, lacks rhythm, and worst of all — it feels edited at TikTok speed. The title is longer than the episodes themselves and tells you 90% of the story.

VINGANÇA SEM SENTIDO E UM ROTEIRO FRACO, BOBO E SEM BRILHO

PONTOS POSITIVOS (o que eu gostei):

- Satori Shun no começo parecia ser um homem decidido e de personalidade forte (o que logo descobrimos que não é verdade e já me desinteressou)
- Romance de escritório entre chefe e funcionária sempre é gostoso e interessante (mas não foi aqui)

PONTOS NEGATIVOS (o que eu não gostei):

- Atuações muito medianas
- Química extremamente baixa entre os protagonistas (culpa do roteiro que não ajudou)
- As cenas se atropelam, o desenvolvimento não é linear
- Que tipo de vingança é essa? não fazia o menor sentido. Em nenhum momento o Satori Shun transpareceu ter ressentimentos pela Hattori Maika, era tudo da boca para fora
- Os pais deles são péssimos e eles continuam sendo porque ninguém faz nada a respeito, se você aceita tudo nada muda
- O relacionamento deles não teve uma construção coerente e ela ter aceitado ir para a filial foi a gota d'água para tudo desandar de vez. Eu sou a maior hater de relacionamentos a distância.
- Esse plot de irmãos que foi inserido no final pareceu muito forçado e não gostei do desenrolar cheio de perdões fáceis para os personagens. É bobo e irreal.

Enfim, eu não gostei nada disso e não assistiria novamente.
