WHY IS THIS SHOW SO CUTE I CAN’T BREATHE!!!
Duang With You is literally my emotional support chaos. It’s so stupidly CUTE and unhinged in the best way that I’ll be sitting there giggling like an idiot one second and hiding my face in a blanket the next because WHY are they like this. The embarrassing moments hit so hard I physically curl up, but somehow that just makes it even funnier and even sweeter. It’s the kind of show that grabs your bad mood, shakes it around, and yeets it out the window.If you’re ever feeling low, bored, or just need something that feels like a sugar rush to the brain, watch it. It’s silly, it’s soft, it’s chaotic, and it absolutely works as a mood‑reset button. I SOOO recommend you to watch this!!!!! IT'S SOOOO GOOD!!! EEEKK!!

A light entertainment meant to be enjoyed without heavy emotional demands
By the time Duang With You reaches its finale, what initially presents itself as a simple, chaotic university romcom reveals a surprising emotional core beneath its bright and playful surface. The early episodes establish a tone that feels intentionally exaggerated, full of awkward encounters, comedic timing, and almost cartoonish reactions, but as the story unfolds, that lightness becomes the foundation for something more grounded. The series never abandons its cheerful identity, but it gradually allows quieter, more vulnerable moments to take space, creating a balance between humor and emotional sincerity that feels earned rather than forced.Much of the show’s charm comes from Duang, a protagonist whose expansive personality drives much of the story. Optimistic, impulsive, and completely transparent about his feelings, he turns his pursuit of Qin into a constant stream of awkward yet surprisingly endearing moments. Qin, in contrast, serves as the perfect counterbalance. More reserved and seemingly cold at first, he occasionally lets small reactions slip through, hinting that there is far more going on beneath his composed exterior. The contrast between them creates a romantic dynamic that is simple but effective, keeping the story engaging even when it follows familiar paths.
A large part of why Duang works so well lies in TeeTee’s performance. Characters this energetic can easily become exhausting, but he gives Duang a charm that keeps the character consistently endearing. His bursts of excitement, exaggerated reactions, and playful high-pitched tones feel natural rather than forced. What stands out most, however, is how smoothly he shifts between moods. When scenes turn serious, his voice lowers and his energy changes, revealing a more grounded side of the character. In emotional moments, that shift becomes even more noticeable, with Duang’s usual brightness giving way to a heavier, more vulnerable presence.
What truly elevates the series, however, is Qin’s development. If the beginning frames him as distant and emotionally guarded, the later episodes carefully peel back those layers, revealing a character shaped by past pain and unresolved trauma. His journey is not rushed; instead, it unfolds through small, meaningful changes, including lingering glances, hesitant honesty, moments of jealousy, and eventually open affection. By the final episodes, Qin is no longer simply reacting to Duang’s presence; he actively chooses him, and that shift carries significant emotional weight. His growth transforms the title itself into something more meaningful, as “with you” becomes less about proximity and more about emotional safety, trust, and the ability to love without fear.
Their relationship benefits greatly from this progression. What starts as one-sided persistence evolves into a partnership where both characters support and heal each other. Duang’s role as a steady, almost unwavering emotional anchor becomes especially important during the series’ more dramatic conflicts. Episodes that introduce misunderstandings or external interference, particularly the arc that places strain on their relationship, push both characters into uncomfortable emotional territory. Duang, usually so bright and confident, is allowed to feel insecure and lost, while Qin is forced to confront his fears of vulnerability and abandonment. These moments, while at times frustrating, ultimately strengthen the narrative by giving the romance real stakes.
The series also deserves credit for how it handles intimacy. Rather than feeling like a superficial addition, the romantic and physical moments between Duang and Qin are carefully built and emotionally grounded. When they finally come together, those scenes carry a mix of tenderness, longing, and vulnerability that reflects how far both characters have come. It is not just about attraction, but about trust and emotional openness, which makes their connection feel believable and rewarding.
Beyond the main couple, the supporting cast continues to play an important role throughout the series. The friends remain active participants in the story, adding humor, warmth, and occasional chaos, while also reinforcing the sense of community within the university setting. Their presence helps maintain the lighter tone even during heavier narrative arcs, preventing the series from becoming overly dramatic.
From a production standpoint, Duang With You remains consistent in its strengths. The soft visual palette, steady direction, and cohesive soundtrack create a comfortable atmosphere that complements both the comedic and emotional beats. While the music may not be particularly experimental, it supports the tone effectively and reinforces the series’ identity. The direction, in particular, deserves recognition for maintaining a clear vision: even when the plot follows familiar tropes, the execution keeps it engaging.
That said, the series is not without flaws. Some comedic elements, especially the exaggerated sound effects, can feel overused, particularly in the earlier episodes. Certain side storylines, such as the exploration of Qin’s family, could have benefited from more depth and nuance. Additionally, one of the mid-series conflicts leans heavily on miscommunication, which may feel frustrating to some viewers. However, these issues rarely overshadow the overall experience, especially as the emotional core of the story becomes more prominent.
By the end, Duang With You proves that it never needed a complex or groundbreaking plot to leave a lasting impression. Its strength lies in execution: in the chemistry between its leads, in the gradual and believable emotional growth, and in the way it balances lighthearted charm with genuine feeling. What begins as a fun, slightly chaotic romcom ultimately becomes a story about healing, emotional courage, and the quiet but powerful act of choosing someone, and being chosen in return.

Not Just Good, But One of the Best
If you are looking for:- a simple but heartfelt romance with emotional depth
- charming leads with excellent chemistry
- polished execution and pleasing aesthetics
- intimate scenes that feel both sensual and emotionally grounded
then this series may be for you!
=============
Things I like
=============
(1) The Creative Direction
This series has many strengths: pleasing visuals, an endearing cast, a consistent musical identity, and, of course, a main couple with undeniable chemistry. TeeTee Wanpichit is especially charming as Duang, bringing so much warmth and energy to the role that it becomes easy to stay invested from start to finish. Por Suppakarn also gives Qin a strong presence, making him compelling even in his quieter and more guarded moments.
But if I had to give one special shoutout, it would go to director Nathawat Piyanonpong. A series like this may look simple on paper, but making a straightforward love story feel this engaging requires both vision and execution. The emotional beats land, the romantic progression feels natural, and the series never loses its charm. Without strong direction, a plot like this could have easily felt ordinary. Instead, it feels assured, intentional, and consistently enjoyable.
(2) Qin’s Growth
For a while, I found myself wondering why the series was titled Duang With You. By the final episode, the answer becomes very clear. The title is not just about Duang being physically by Qin’s side, but about how deeply Duang changes Qin’s emotional world.
This works especially well because of the contrast with similar moments in the earlier episodes. By the finale, Qin’s happiness feels open, genuine, and closely tied to Duang’s presence. He is no longer the cold, guarded person who chose distance and emotional restraint. Instead, he becomes someone capable of vulnerability, honesty, and mutual love. Por Suppakarn does an excellent job portraying this growth, especially in the crying scenes, because Qin is not simply written as a cold male lead. He is a character shaped by pain and a difficult past, and that gives the role much more depth when he finally allows himself to feel and receive love.
(3) The Intimacy
For a series that feels this heartwarming and straightforward, I honestly expected the intimate scenes to be fairly basic or brief. That was clearly not the case. The scenes here are thoughtfully choreographed and shot, and what makes them even stronger is that they are not there just for visual appeal. They carry emotional weight too.
What I especially appreciated is how the intimacy feels tied to the characters and their relationship. These scenes are sensual, but they also feel tender, vulnerable, and believable for two young people who are fully opening themselves to one another. Because of that, they come across as meaningful rather than merely decorative, which makes them all the more effective.
============================
Things I wish were different
============================
(1) More Depth for Qin’s Parents
It is honestly hard for me to pick major complaints about this series, but if I had to nitpick, this would probably be my biggest one. Qin’s parents felt like the weakest part of the storytelling for me. With their limited screen time, both characters came across as too similar, and because they almost always appeared together and mirrored each other’s reactions, they ended up feeling less like two distinct people and more like a single narrative force.
Because Qin’s trauma is such an important part of his character, I wish the series had spent a little more time exploring the parents’ perspectives in a more layered way. In the end, much of the emotional weight of that storyline was carried by the two main actors rather than by the writing around the parents themselves. Even the maid, bless her, left a stronger impression in the early childhood scenes.
(2) The OST
The music in this series suits the tone well, so this is not really a complaint about quality as much as variety. I just wish the OST had been a little more experimental at times. Since Qin is a jazz student, and since the series gave us that lovely music showcase scene where Por Suppakarn sang jazz so well, I found myself hoping the soundtrack would lean further into that side of his character.
Because of that setup, I was expecting a bit more jazz influence, or at least more genre variation across the series. Instead, the overall musical style stayed fairly consistent throughout, aside from a few scenes. It still worked, but I think the soundtrack could have added even more personality if it had taken a few more risks.
===========
Best scenes
===========
1. Post-basketball match (Episode 6)
For me, this is one of the standout scenes of the entire series, and also the moment where TeeTee Wanpichit truly shines as an actor. Within a relatively short span of time, he is asked to carry multiple emotional shifts, and he does so very well. We see the affectionate and devoted Duang that the audience has already grown attached to, but this scene adds so much more on top of that: concern, frustration, hurt, helplessness, and finally relief.
What makes this scene so strong is how naturally those emotions build into one another. It never feels exaggerated, and that is why it hits so hard. By the time Qin apologizes and begins to reciprocate Duang’s feelings more clearly, the emotional payoff feels fully earned. This is also the point where the relationship starts to move beyond one-sided affection and into something more mutual and balanced. For that reason, this scene is not only emotionally effective, but also one of the most important turning points in the series.
2. Bye bye teddy bear (Episode 8)
These young actors can really act. The tears of relief that Duang sheds after Qin chooses him are the kind of moment that stays with you. It is tender, heartbreaking, and impactful all at once. For me, this is one of those scenes that will still be remembered long after the series ends.
=========
Takeaways
=========
The base formula that this series follows is not exactly unique. In fact, there have already been many series built on similar settings and storylines. What makes Duang With You special is the execution and the passion that can be felt throughout all 12 episodes. The two leads are incredibly charming and do a wonderful job embodying the characters from the source material.
The ironic part is that the original novel is called Not The Best, But Still Good, and yet this adaptation may well be one of the best series in the genre so far.
I wish nothing but continued success for the actors, the director, and the entire team behind this series. Everyone involved clearly brought a great deal of effort and heart into this work, and I hope that passion opens the door to even more success and opportunities in the future. I truly look forward to seeing more great things from them.

A little light in the dark
Life has dealt me a bad hand of late. I found myself in need of a reprieve from the weight I've been carrying, and then, as if guided by fate, "Duang with You" entered my life with almost serendipitous timingEach episode was my safe place and revealed to me the depth of TeeTeePor's genuine connection and love. There was an easy spark between them, you see. They were equals walking side by side and communicating in a language older than words themselves; one of lingering glances and shared breaths. Their happiness didn't just play out on screen. It spilled over and touched me with a kind of warmth I hadn't known I was missing
My heartfelt gratitude goes to TeeTeePor and the production team for manifesting a work of art so human, gentle, and healing. The care they poured into it hasn't gone unnoticed. They've made a real difference in the world

When Fate Keeps Bringing You Back to the Same Person.
There’s something truly magical about this story. It feels like the universe keeps gently pushing them back into each other’s lives, no matter the distance or timing. The connection between them isn’t loud, but it’s deep and meaningful. Every glance, every pause, every quiet moment carries emotion. It’s romantic without being forced and emotional without overwhelming you. This series doesn’t just tell a love story , it makes you feel destiny unfolding, leaving a soft ache in your heart long after it ends. 💫Was this review helpful to you?
it's about a person's importance in his/her special someone's life
Duang with you is a emotion.. which I can't express with my own words .. I can feel Duang's feelings toward college's most icy student..This is what I like the most about Duang he is very clear towards his actions.. and Director had choosen correct cast Teetee for playing the role of PhoDuang ..
I don't know why This series is very special.. I think it's because of Teetee which I never felt before about him ..
so, for every Duang fan and Qin fan this series is not just a series because it carries a silent pain of a boy.. who shows his outer side as a easy going boy but carries deep pain inside ...

This is what happens when a BL exceeds every expectation.
One of the best BL dramas I’ve watched in all six years of being a BL fan. And after watching over 100 BLs, that says a lot. This drama completely and utterly exceeded all of my expectations.I honestly never thought I would give a BL a 10/10 anytime soon, because after being in this community for so long, I’ve built very high standards and expectations. But Duang With You truly earned it.
From the very first episode to the very last, this drama was wonderful. The butterflies I felt, the giggles, the screaming in my room during episodes — I’m sure everyone in my house thought I had completely lost it.
This was such beautifully written love story between Duang and Qin. Duang is truly the definition of a green flag — the ultimate golden retriever boyfriend. Meanwhile, Qin was more closed off, someone who didn’t easily open up to people he didn’t know or trust. And in the end, he let Duang into his heart… and Duang got in there deeply.
I loved every single moment of their relationship development. Watching it grow slowly throughout the episodes made everything feel even more rewarding. I especially loved seeing Qin completely fall under Duang’s charm.
Man… Duang was so good for Qin.
Their relationship felt healthy, genuine, and full of warmth, and I enjoyed every second they were on my screen.
Honestly, I feel like I could keep talking forever about how amazing this BL was.❤️

It’s a cliche but everything works perfectly
Not sure abt the other reviews but for the first time I found a cliche plot line story addressing every issue with no plot holes. When I noticed that qin was initially giving in very easily to duang I was wondering if they will ever explain why he gave the okay sign only to duang while he straight up rejected the others. But I absolutely love the flashback which gives us the reason qin noticed and let duang pursue him 😭😭 I also love how duang’s friends warned him regarding the thin line between pursuing and stalking. It made me feel more comfortable seeing him pursue qin after getting his consent.There is soo much I can talk abt the plot alone but the acting and chemistry between the actors was honestly mind blowing. I had no previous knowledge of teeteepor as I hadn’t watched their reality show so the only idea of them I had was when I saw their acting in your sky which was leaning heavily towards porteetee. At that time I found that the roles suited them really well and it didn’t seem odd at all, so you can just imagine the shock when I found that they did a whole 180 and switched roles in dwy which still worked perfectly????? It was like seeing a whole new character which is exactly how acting is supposed to be like. Teetee going from acting in a quiet role to a very energetic one and Por going from a very confident role to a quiet role with a lot of emotional trauma. Also the chemistry and dynamics between the two friend groups???? There are sooo many duang trio shenanigans clips that I go back to rewatch because of how chaotic they are. They absolutely nailed the friendship dynamics!!
Would definitely rewatch and would definitely recommend it to first time bl watchers as well!! (Already trying to make my sister who doesn’t watch bl dramas much watch it. Saw one clip of the trio shenanigans and she was hooked 😌)
