not into the characterization

Overall: I did not enjoy a child-like character who basically stalked a seemingly uninterested character for several episodes. 12 episodes about 45 minutes each. Airing on iQIYI https://www.iq.com/play/duang-with-you-uncut-episode-1-1i3zcr5hiek?lang=en_us and episode 1 was on Mandee YouTube Channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcTibKbv20S7j_lCcNUEywFWET_lybdJZ&si=kC4Ac1i6KZTkdSmx

Content Warning: stalking (portrayed as romantic), hits (portrayed as comedic)

What I Liked
- easy to understand premise
- supportive friends
- visuals
- cameos/supporting roles

Room For Improvement
- the child-like character (one time he said "I'm sulky now" while pouting and stomping his foot) who relentlessly pursued a seemingly uninterested character (at least 1 time he told him to shut up)
- comedy sound effects did not make things funny

Nah

For me, the main issue is the tone and pacing. Duang With U leans really heavily into soft, slow-burn interactions, which can feel kind of dragged out if you’re used to more intense or dramatic BLs. The chemistry is there, but it’s subtle—almost too subtle—so it doesn’t hit as strongly emotionally compared to shows with more obvious tension or stakes.

Another thing is the storyline. It’s pretty light and slice-of-life, which isn’t bad, but it can feel like not much is actually happening. If you like plots with conflict, twists, or possessive/obsessive dynamics (like the kind you’ve liked before), this one might feel kind of flat or low-energy.

A DRAMA THAT'S REFRESHING IN ITS CUTEST FORM

After a long time, I have witnessed such an energetic and refreshing series loaded with cuteness.

The way the script is set up is very different from the usual school BL dramas. At first, I was a little disappointed with the character "Qinn" because he kept pushing "Duang" away. But as the episodes went on, it became clear why Qinn was acting the way he was: his painful past was keeping him from letting anyone into his heart. "It is often in the darkest skies that we see the brightest stars," says the saying. "Duang" also comes into "Qinn's" life as a sun and brings him back to the light, leading them on a happy and beautiful life journey.

When it comes to acting, all of the actors in the series do a good job. TeeTee's natural, happy, and bubbly acting steals the show from beginning to end. I feel like "Duang" is the oxygen of this drama, and it always reminds me that we all need a friend like "Duang" who will always be there for us and be loyal, respectful, and happy. Without a doubt, Por's acting is just as good as TeeTee's. The supporting characters were great, especially the "friend zone" of the main characters. Finally, I want to say a few words about the character "Duang's mother." She is the cutest mother I've seen in any of the BL shows I've watched so far. She does a great job of playing the part!

For me, "Duang with You" isn't a series; it's a tonic that made my Saturdays lively and refreshing for two and a half months. I'm going to miss "Duang" so much! But, I'm looking forward to TeePor's next together.

"NOT THE BEST BUT STILL GOOD"

P'Kla once said before releasing the show "this show is not unique, unlike the others, its the typical one, it is not the best but still good"

P'Kla was right, this show is your typical college BL romance; your typical 'they met before', your typical 'he fells first but he fell harder', the typical setting in BL romance you could watch. But one thing I must say is that how well written this show is, how complex the characters are written but deeply manifested, how well the romance that you start admiring the non-toxic environment the story is. No other plot holes, no other plot twists or any toxic spice, just pure sugar and sweetness, a balance of taste and slice of life, it was duang and qin's lovelife and how they are so compatible with each other. Even friendships are written best, with all those proper communication and consents. The music in the show isn't cringe at all, how I love to watch them sing and it fits so right, the castings are perfectly matched and of course, bow down to the first series of teeteepor as they made duang and qin alive and real.

Yes, its the typical BL romance but that makes this series an addicting one, the flow is just crazy, it was so well done. If I will be asked to watch it again, I would love too, it is rewatchable, no cringe moments, just pure and genuine love, I can't explain how this series made me love college romance in BL again, they hooked me in. Domundi delivered, they create the most unexpected series plotting ever.

Yes, its not unique. Yes, its not the best, BUT STILL GOOD.

amazing masterpiece series BL 2026

If you're still thinking whether to watch this drama or not... just watch it!!! Don't hesitate! This drama is truly amazing, trust me 🙏🏻.. First, I watched the official pilot episode and I was already interested in the storyline.. but after the edited trailer was released on YouTube, oh my gosh I was so excited!! DWY is a masterpiece that is suitable for entertainment because while watching I was very entertained by the behavior of Duang, Jamie, and Pae.. their friendship is really amazing and silly 😆, Then how the director portrayed the character development, I really liked it. Duang is a very nice guy. Even the OST is all good, like a musical drama 💕, details like the room design and the furniture I also like, even the basic manners of all the characters too, Duangqin makes the chemistry become a natural and adorable couple. The good rating for this drama is indeed deserved. Thank you to the director's efforts in making this series as good as possible, he also made the supporting actors with effort because the supporting actors are already well-known in the entertainment industry too.. so I enjoyed this series

I'm Prepared To Love You With Everything I Have

At first glance, it looks like just another college BL series light, fluffy, easy. But that assumption doesn’t last long.

Duang With You doesn’t just stay in the safe lane of cute storytelling, (it is cute and cringe at times) it quietly deepens, pulling you into something far more emotional than you expected. What starts as simple college fluff turns into something that lingers. Something addictive.

It’s a delicate balance of warmth and heartbreak. One moment, you’re laughing at Duang’s chaotic charm and trio… and the next, you’re hit with emotions you didn’t see coming.

And loving Qin? That was never going to be easy. But when Duang said, “I’m prepared to love you with everything I have,” it wasn’t just a line it was a promise. He kept his word to the Tee😁

What makes it even more entertaining are the details. The kind you almost miss if you’re not paying attention like Qin vs. the music room stickers, the quiet way he stares out the window at home… echoes of a past where he was fed mud as a child.

If you're looking for fluff with slice of life, this is definitely for you.

The OSTs are absolute bangers.
The acting? Amazing.
The only real problem with the series… is that it ended.

I loved it at first........ Don't get me wrong it's great

Duang with you was quite nice in the first few episodes. I did quite like it. Duang was persistent and was cold and everything. Typical love story a bit cliché though But I loved it anyway. I looked forward to each episode releases which are on Saturday evenings for my region. I genuinely thought it would be a soft story but it turned out to be quite emotional. Qin had a difficult childhood and all, I get that but like I really thought he was going to be a cold top. he's actually so fragile and it always makes duang want to protect him. Also, it's always duang helping him I wanna see Qin also doing something because I don't really like the fact that Duang always has to run after him like a hopeless puppy. I know that's the whole plot but still. I hope the ending is good BTW. And one last thing WHY DO THEY KEEP CUTTING OUT THE SCENES. At this point it reminds me of china that everything has to be censored 😪. In all I really love this series and I highly recommend it

“Sometimes Love Is Just Staying

Duang With You is the kind of drama that doesn’t try too hard to impress you, yet still manages to leave a lasting feeling.

At first glance, the story feels simple and calm. There is no overwhelming drama or intense conflict at the beginning. Instead, it introduces us to a soft and slow-paced connection between Duang and Qin. However, as the story progresses, you begin to understand that its strength lies in its subtle emotional depth rather than loud storytelling.

The dynamic between the two main characters is what truly carries the series. Duang, with his warm and open personality, contrasts beautifully with Qin, who is more reserved and emotionally guarded. Their relationship is not built on instant attraction or dramatic confessions, but rather on small, meaningful moments that gradually bring them closer together.

One of the most compelling aspects of the drama is how it explores emotional distance and personal healing. Qin’s character, in particular, reflects someone who has learned to protect himself due to past experiences. Instead of forcing change, Duang’s presence becomes a quiet source of comfort and understanding. This makes their connection feel natural and believable.

The pacing may feel slow for viewers who prefer more intense or plot-driven stories, but for those who enjoy character-focused narratives, it works well. The drama allows the audience to sit with the characters and experience their emotions without rushing.
Overall, Duang With You is a soft, emotionally grounded BL that focuses more on feeling than spectacle. It may not be the most dramatic series, but it offers a gentle and comforting story about connection, patience, and emotional growth.

Duang and Qin’s love lays bare the full spectrum of emotions

Duang and Qin are two of the best-written and best-acted characters in BL in a long time. Duang is extra in every sense of the word, but is also the most sincere and loving person out there. Qin's cold exterior is matched later by the warmth long hidden inside him. Teetee and Por don't just act, they manage to create characters whose love you want to believe will last forever.

We go through a long journey of learning, change, and growth with Duang and Qin. The conflicts are handled smartly instead of being dragged on. I especially love Qin's confrontation with his parents as it's messy and emotionally charged, with years of pent-up emotions spilling out. The friend groups play an important role in Duang and Qin's story.

Duang and Qin feel like a real young queer couple, with positive sex talks, plenty of cuddles and kisses, small conflicts that are resolved by proper communication, visits to parents, and loads of other moments that will make you clutch your pillows.

I'm quite indifferent towards NC scenes in BLs nowadays since they are there to fill a quota. However, the NC scenes in this show are well-earned, well-choreographed, and serve a narrative purpose. I love the ep 7 shower scene as it perfectly builds yearning and desire into a beautiful display of raw emotions.

The music in this show is a highlight, from the custom BGM frequently exclaiming Duang and Qin to the entire album of beautiful OSTs.

To conclude, this show will make you feel every emotion on the spectrum, and in the end, you'll believe maybe true love like this exists somewhere.

I WILL REWATCH THIS MASTERPIECE AGAIN

I tend to not have high expectations when im watching light hearted shows. But this one really stick to me. It blown away even my highest one.
I liked everything about this show: acting, pacing, storylines, cinematography, everything.
It's perfect example how college romances should be done. And casting was perfect.
Every single actor did great. I even read novel because i couldn't endure the wait between episodes. But i have to praise Por and Tete the most. They lived the characters. I couldn't imagine who except them would do characters justice as they did. I can't wait to see them in more projects. They deserve everything and beyond.

Cute but dumb

This one is more of a guilty pleasure watch for me. The story is fine, the music is great, and the entire case is adorable. It's not that the actors are bad at their jobs, it's just that the characters are truly written that way. Duang is just soooo over the top clingy and optimistic. I really though this was going to be a kind of Junior from Perfect 10 Liners situation where he uses being happy to cover for darker feelings, but it appears to just be who he is. I don't mind it, and I'm enjoying watching the series, but it's not really one that you are going to take seriously.
