WHY IS THIS SHOW SO CUTE I CAN’T BREATHE!!!
Duang With You is literally my emotional support chaos. It’s so stupidly CUTE and unhinged in the best way that I’ll be sitting there giggling like an idiot one second and hiding my face in a blanket the next because WHY are they like this. The embarrassing moments hit so hard I physically curl up, but somehow that just makes it even funnier and even sweeter. It’s the kind of show that grabs your bad mood, shakes it around, and yeets it out the window.If you’re ever feeling low, bored, or just need something that feels like a sugar rush to the brain, watch it. It’s silly, it’s soft, it’s chaotic, and it absolutely works as a mood‑reset button. I SOOO recommend you to watch this!!!!! IT'S SOOOO GOOD!!! EEEKK!!

A light entertainment meant to be enjoyed without heavy emotional demands
In its first episodes, Duang With You makes its intentions clear: this is a university romcom that openly embraces exaggeration, awkwardness, and the almost naïve sweetness of first love. The narrative moves with a light and lively energy, where physical humor, heightened reactions, and playful sound effects help build a rhythm that feels deliberately chaotic. Instead of aiming for realism or heavy dramatic conflict, the series leans into a kind of simple, comforting entertainment; the kind that makes you laugh, cringe a little, and eventually realize you spent the entire episode smiling.Much of the show’s charm comes from Duang, a protagonist whose expansive personality drives much of the story. Optimistic, impulsive, and completely transparent about his feelings, he turns his pursuit of Qin into a constant stream of awkward yet surprisingly endearing moments. Qin, in contrast, serves as the perfect counterbalance. More reserved and seemingly cold at first, he occasionally lets small reactions slip through, hinting that there is far more going on beneath his composed exterior. The contrast between them creates a romantic dynamic that is simple but effective, keeping the story engaging even when it follows familiar paths.
A large part of why Duang works so well lies in TeeTee’s performance. Characters this energetic can easily become exhausting, but he gives Duang a charm that keeps the character consistently endearing. His bursts of excitement, exaggerated reactions, and playful high-pitched tones feel natural rather than forced. What stands out most, however, is how smoothly he shifts between moods. When scenes turn serious, his voice lowers and his energy changes, revealing a more grounded side of the character. In emotional moments, that shift becomes even more noticeable, with Duang’s usual brightness giving way to a heavier, more vulnerable presence.
The series also makes a smart choice by giving space to the characters surrounding the main couple. The friends are not just there to fill the background; they actively participate in the story, reacting to events, encouraging Duang’s efforts, and adding humor to many situations. This sense of group chemistry brings life to the university setting and helps make the series’ world feel warmer and more inviting. From a technical standpoint, the production also shows care: the soft visual palette, the steady pacing of the direction, and a well-placed soundtrack all contribute to an atmosphere that supports both the comedic and romantic moments.
That does not mean the series is flawless. At times, the exaggerated humor and frequent sound effects can feel a bit overused, and some scenes push the awkwardness to its limits. The early narrative is also more focused on establishing the tone and character interactions than on developing deeper conflicts. Still, when the chemistry between the two leads becomes more prominent, those small flaws become easier to overlook. There is a natural ease in the way Duang and Qin interact that makes it easy to become invested in their story.
By the end of these opening episodes, Duang With You leaves the impression of a series that knows exactly the kind of experience it wants to deliver. It may not reinvent the university BL formula, but it finds its strength in the charm of its characters, its light pacing, and a romance that grows through small gestures and everyday moments. The result is a series that wins you over more through the feelings it creates than through the complexity of its plot.

Wow isn't it funny for Qin , from strangers to lovers , Qin was impulsive in a cute way ha I don't what I'm saying , but look at cutiee Duang he just forgot what to say and instead said “ My buddy likes you ” 5555 . I literally thought there's something goin' on between Duang's buddy and Qin's buddy , in the fair ep 1 ,,,, I want them to catch feelings..... I also ship themmmI freaking love that QIN is very bold now , he literally lowered his walls a lot now , and so narak when jealous and possessive . Duang is doing a great job , he is such a great supporter of Qin . OMG SO GOOD
Even thought Duang with you is yor typical university bl, the plot has never been done before, it is so fun and interesting! You can’t help but love Duang and Qin from the first episode. Diang is genuinely the cutest person ever, it never feels forced, and he’s so funny. Qin ist so relatable and endearing. Teeteepor have amazing chemistry, there’s only 5 episodes out, but they’re already one of my favorite couples. Every DuangQin interaction will have you giggling and kicking your feet.😛😗Watching the episodes theres a lot of moments where you have to laugh out loud, where you get butterflies, but also where you feel sad for the characters and relate to them.Anyways can’t wait for the first Teeteepor kiss ever in episode 6!😛
Definitely watch this if you like rom coms!

Not Just Good, But One of the Best
If you are looking for:- a simple but heartfelt romance with emotional depth
- charming leads with excellent chemistry
- polished execution and pleasing aesthetics
- intimate scenes that feel both sensual and emotionally grounded
then this series may be for you!
=============
Things I like
=============
(1) The Creative Direction
This series has many strengths: pleasing visuals, an endearing cast, a consistent musical identity, and, of course, a main couple with undeniable chemistry. TeeTee Wanpichit is especially charming as Duang, bringing so much warmth and energy to the role that it becomes easy to stay invested from start to finish. Por Suppakarn also gives Qin a strong presence, making him compelling even in his quieter and more guarded moments.
But if I had to give one special shoutout, it would go to director Nathawat Piyanonpong. A series like this may look simple on paper, but making a straightforward love story feel this engaging requires both vision and execution. The emotional beats land, the romantic progression feels natural, and the series never loses its charm. Without strong direction, a plot like this could have easily felt ordinary. Instead, it feels assured, intentional, and consistently enjoyable.
(2) Qin’s Growth
For a while, I found myself wondering why the series was titled Duang With You. By the final episode, the answer becomes very clear. The title is not just about Duang being physically by Qin’s side, but about how deeply Duang changes Qin’s emotional world.
This works especially well because of the contrast with similar moments in the earlier episodes. By the finale, Qin’s happiness feels open, genuine, and closely tied to Duang’s presence. He is no longer the cold, guarded person who chose distance and emotional restraint. Instead, he becomes someone capable of vulnerability, honesty, and mutual love. Por Suppakarn does an excellent job portraying this growth, especially in the crying scenes, because Qin is not simply written as a cold male lead. He is a character shaped by pain and a difficult past, and that gives the role much more depth when he finally allows himself to feel and receive love.
(3) The Intimacy
For a series that feels this heartwarming and straightforward, I honestly expected the intimate scenes to be fairly basic or brief. That was clearly not the case. The scenes here are thoughtfully choreographed and shot, and what makes them even stronger is that they are not there just for visual appeal. They carry emotional weight too.
What I especially appreciated is how the intimacy feels tied to the characters and their relationship. These scenes are sensual, but they also feel tender, vulnerable, and believable for two young people who are fully opening themselves to one another. Because of that, they come across as meaningful rather than merely decorative, which makes them all the more effective.
============================
Things I wish were different
============================
(1) More Depth for Qin’s Parents
It is honestly hard for me to pick major complaints about this series, but if I had to nitpick, this would probably be my biggest one. Qin’s parents felt like the weakest part of the storytelling for me. With their limited screen time, both characters came across as too similar, and because they almost always appeared together and mirrored each other’s reactions, they ended up feeling less like two distinct people and more like a single narrative force.
Because Qin’s trauma is such an important part of his character, I wish the series had spent a little more time exploring the parents’ perspectives in a more layered way. In the end, much of the emotional weight of that storyline was carried by the two main actors rather than by the writing around the parents themselves. Even the maid, bless her, left a stronger impression in the early childhood scenes.
(2) The OST
The music in this series suits the tone well, so this is not really a complaint about quality as much as variety. I just wish the OST had been a little more experimental at times. Since Qin is a jazz student, and since the series gave us that lovely music showcase scene where Por Suppakarn sang jazz so well, I found myself hoping the soundtrack would lean further into that side of his character.
Because of that setup, I was expecting a bit more jazz influence, or at least more genre variation across the series. Instead, the overall musical style stayed fairly consistent throughout, aside from a few scenes. It still worked, but I think the soundtrack could have added even more personality if it had taken a few more risks.
===========
Best scenes
===========
1. Post-basketball match (Episode 6)
For me, this is one of the standout scenes of the entire series, and also the moment where TeeTee Wanpichit truly shines as an actor. Within a relatively short span of time, he is asked to carry multiple emotional shifts, and he does so very well. We see the affectionate and devoted Duang that the audience has already grown attached to, but this scene adds so much more on top of that: concern, frustration, hurt, helplessness, and finally relief.
What makes this scene so strong is how naturally those emotions build into one another. It never feels exaggerated, and that is why it hits so hard. By the time Qin apologizes and begins to reciprocate Duang’s feelings more clearly, the emotional payoff feels fully earned. This is also the point where the relationship starts to move beyond one-sided affection and into something more mutual and balanced. For that reason, this scene is not only emotionally effective, but also one of the most important turning points in the series.
2. Bye bye teddy bear (Episode 8)
These young actors can really act. The tears of relief that Duang sheds after Qin chooses him are the kind of moment that stays with you. It is tender, heartbreaking, and impactful all at once. For me, this is one of those scenes that will still be remembered long after the series ends.
=========
Takeaways
=========
The base formula that this series follows is not exactly unique. In fact, there have already been many series built on similar settings and storylines. What makes Duang With You special is the execution and the passion that can be felt throughout all 12 episodes. The two leads are incredibly charming and do a wonderful job embodying the characters from the source material.
The ironic part is that the original novel is called Not The Best, But Still Good, and yet this adaptation may well be one of the best series in the genre so far.
I wish nothing but continued success for the actors, the director, and the entire team behind this series. Everyone involved clearly brought a great deal of effort and heart into this work, and I hope that passion opens the door to even more success and opportunities in the future. I truly look forward to seeing more great things from them.

When Fate Keeps Bringing You Back to the Same Person.
There’s something truly magical about this story. It feels like the universe keeps gently pushing them back into each other’s lives, no matter the distance or timing. The connection between them isn’t loud, but it’s deep and meaningful. Every glance, every pause, every quiet moment carries emotion. It’s romantic without being forced and emotional without overwhelming you. This series doesn’t just tell a love story , it makes you feel destiny unfolding, leaving a soft ache in your heart long after it ends. 💫Was this review helpful to you?

A show appealing to mostly girls?
As expected this review section is flooded with 10... and the MDL rating as of now is at a 9... and when I see that, I have to ask myself: Did we see the same show? And as usual, this review is only valid for the UNCUT version. Do not ever watch a cut version, because besides cutting nc-scenes, they also cut story-elements (which will not be that fatal in this series imho). For reasons unknown MDL sometimes seperates them and sometimes does not, but be aware on youtube you get a cut version.While the performances overall are good, the script is crap. The series tried to walk the fine line between comedy and cringe and Duang (the character) crosses into the cringe territory almost every time, which is so annoying, obnoxious and has nothing to do with "cute". Qin on the other hand behaves like a morron because his childhood was sooooo bad *bruhuhuhu*, sorry that's not an excuse for being a jerk most of the time. They even wrote in "red flag Qin" doing the absolute wrong things and then having him emotional blackmail Duang. Sorry, that's neither cute nor necessary nor should anyone (especially teens) learn from such behaviour. The epsisodes are also uncessary long because they only drag out and don't do anything with the side characters. NorthOtto had an interesting beginning but it faded away and suddenly in the finale he (Otto's character) was introduced to all of them (with too much makeup imho) and no explaination, no talk before - nothing. If you remember, in ep 1+2 we had the "Cherrie" storyplot and nothing happened till the finale where "ups I was Cherrie, so sorry" "confession" and that's in the same scene. Overall this scene felt so forced and cringe, I can't even find the right words for it. This script was just lazily written!
There is a redeeming quality to this show: When Duang and Qin talk alone in a serious tone, it changes the whole series. It is actually well done. I think they could not decide if this should be a comedy or a drama and mixing both gave this series a great inbalance. All the dog references with the stupid sound effects are just cringe and then bringing a dog into the finale - OMG - who thinks of something like that. While the NC-scenes were tastefully made, it shocked me, that in the finale they cut the NC-scene sooo short... that's quite unusual. The second redeeming quality is the OST which is also well done. This is Domundi/Mandee so production quality was very good as well.
But even with this redeeming qualities of the series, this show can only be "average". They had a chance to tell multiple stories in a wider arc but as usual, they failed. It's more a cringe fest for over half of the series. If I ever had such a partner I would kick his ass to the moon or even farther. For me this is a series is clearly targeted to escapists and girls. Nothing wrong with it, but for escapism I don't need a series, there are a lot of other alternatives. Thai shows don't understand how to do "cute" - the last "cute" show was "School Trip" and it had not any nonsense in it (besides the behaviour of some girls and a brother), but both MLs and even their friends were very likeable. Here, I think the actors are cute and nice people, but their characters are just unlikable. That may sound hard, but that's my impression. Also Domundi could not shy away to slap us with ads in our face again, which is soooo annoying. They could have skipped the Japan trip and saved some money going somewhere inside Thailand and made a destination pay for it. But no... for some reason it had to be Japan. If they would only watch JBLs and get inspiration from there.
I wish they had forgone with the comedy part and made it only as drama. Also the should have resolved Qins Daddy/Mama-issues in a more engaging way, just 1/3 of an epsiode is not good enough. So, in the cosmos of university BLs, this was not the worst, but it was also not good.

it's about a person's importance in his/her special someone's life
Duang with you is a emotion.. which I can't express with my own words .. I can feel Duang's feelings toward college's most icy student..This is what I like the most about Duang he is very clear towards his actions.. and Director had choosen correct cast Teetee for playing the role of PhoDuang ..
I don't know why This series is very special.. I think it's because of Teetee which I never felt before about him ..
so, for every Duang fan and Qin fan this series is not just a series because it carries a silent pain of a boy.. who shows his outer side as a easy going boy but carries deep pain inside ...

Empty cuteness
Not a proper review, I simply noted some of my thoughts about the show.- Both main characters were unlikeable: Duang – childish and annoying, Qin – unpleasant and obnoxious. The show tried to explain Qin’s behavior, but it felt like a justification rather than an explanation: he’s allowed to act like a jerk because he has absent parents and was mistreated by his nanny. Given how little time was spent on resolving this issue (it was less than 9 minutes from Qin’s parents entering his condo, where the ep. 11 argument takes place, to Qin resting his head on his mom’s lap) – it was a flimsy excuse at best.
- Unlike most BLs, which spend too much time on side plots and events that have nothing to do with the love story, this show could have used some proper filler or a side/secondary couple story. Instead we got some BL tropes (including an ex trying to get back with one of the main characters and behaving like an a-hole in the process) as well as tons of vapid fluff and what was supposed to be "student life" – which was so boring and dragged for so long, that I started to watch the show on fast-forward.
- Jamie and Marvis seemed more interesting than Qin and Duang (which was a very low bar), but were given so little time that their side plot can hardly be called a story. The remaining "supporting" characters did not seem to serve any purpose in the story of either couple; not sure what was the point in including them in the show.
- There was no character growth (I actually laughed at Qin’s "I think everything that happened has made me grow so much" in ep. 12). While at times the script allowed Qin to act less like a douchebag, those moments were too few to indicate an actual change, felt fake and served to baffle others (mainly Duang).
- Instead of trying to elevate his character or at least make it likeable or relatable, Por did the opposite. He seemed sleepy or drugged or bored in almost every scene he was in, which made Qin seem permanently uninterested in anything, giving the vibe of a self-centered and uncaring person.
- TeeTee’s approach differs from Por’s, but his performance isn’t much better – it is barely watchable, and his "being cute and funny" shtick gets old by the end of ep. 1 (and gets annoying by ep. 2). However, there was a handful of scenes where TeeTee dropped that routine and behaved like a normal person (he even became serious once) – Duang needed much more of that to be a three-dimensional character. Those very rare glimpses that we actually got prove that TeeTee was able to portray his character differently – like in ep. 11, when Duang comforts Qin, who collapsed to the floor during an argument with his parents. I’d love to see more of that: Duang who is not necessarily mature, but is not childish either, who is genuinely caring without the constant overacting, who is not the smartest kid around, but is not silly either.
- I did not detect any chemistry between Por and TeeTee here – which is weird considering I remember them having some of it in that shoehorned romantic scene they had in ep. 8 of "Your Sky".
- The comedy did not work for me. The only part I found actually funny was the Duang-as-Chucky sequence in ep. 2.
- I got secondhand embarrassed while watching the post-shower scene in ep. 7 with Qin and Duang discussing the intimate side of their relationship. While the idea to have such a scene was very good, the execution was everything but good – both writing and performances were cringy and missing every beat they should hit.
- It’s always good to see Tattoo Colour on stage.

This is what happens when a BL exceeds every expectation.
One of the best BL dramas I’ve watched in all six years of being a BL fan. And after watching over 100 BLs, that says a lot. This drama completely and utterly exceeded all of my expectations.I honestly never thought I would give a BL a 10/10 anytime soon, because after being in this community for so long, I’ve built very high standards and expectations. But Duang With You truly earned it.
From the very first episode to the very last, this drama was wonderful. The butterflies I felt, the giggles, the screaming in my room during episodes — I’m sure everyone in my house thought I had completely lost it.
This was such beautifully written love story between Duang and Qin. Duang is truly the definition of a green flag — the ultimate golden retriever boyfriend. Meanwhile, Qin was more closed off, someone who didn’t easily open up to people he didn’t know or trust. And in the end, he let Duang into his heart… and Duang got in there deeply.
I loved every single moment of their relationship development. Watching it grow slowly throughout the episodes made everything feel even more rewarding. I especially loved seeing Qin completely fall under Duang’s charm.
Man… Duang was so good for Qin.
Their relationship felt healthy, genuine, and full of warmth, and I enjoyed every second they were on my screen.
Honestly, I feel like I could keep talking forever about how amazing this BL was.❤️
