Osaka Aoi, a top student and third-year member of the calligraphy club, failed the early entrance exam for a national university, which she was expected to pass. At the lowest point of despair, a classmate and member of the basketball club, Murase Tasuku, called out to her. He also applied to the law faculty like Aoi, but failed. His last chance to pass the exam is the second exam in three days, but the only subject is the essay, and only ten students are allowed to pass, making it a narrow gate.
