A "Siren" Who Forgot to Sing
Why is she called a Siren when she refuses to use any of her abilities to charm her way into the world and push people away constantly? When I first started watching this drama, I thought it was incredibly underrated and had the potential to be one of the top shows of the year. However, as the episodes progressed, my attention and love for the series began to fade.First of all, there was no need for it to be twelve episodes long or released on a weekly schedule. This drama had the scope of an eight-episode binge-watch and nothing more. Returning weekly makes viewers want to drop it because the payoff doesn't feel worth the wait. Twelve episodes felt like too much for this specific plot, so the writers added unnecessary filler to bridge the gaps, only to wrap it all up with a predictable killer and anticlimactic ending
Given the title Siren's Kiss, I expected the female lead to be an enchanting, "siren-like" figure who used her wit and charm to make men succumb to her. Instead, she was portrayed as a traumatized victim whom men flocked to out of pity. It would have been a much better twist if she actually were the killer; sirens are supposed to be mystical, beautiful, and deadly, but we mostly watched her in a state of perpetual fear and anxiety for twelve episodes straight.
As for the main couple, their chemistry feels like a 50/50 split. In some scenes, the acting feels forced and lacks passion, while in others, they look great together—especially in the kissing scenes. It feels like the "chemistry" comes mostly from the fact that they are two very attractive people rather than a deep, natural connection.
The side characters were also quite frustrating. From the sister and the police officers to her coworkers, almost everyone except the leads felt like "rage-bait." Then there is the killer—who didn't clock that? From episode one, it was the most obvious person. Why choose them? The comment sections were full of people calling it early on. Making the female lead the villain would have provided the "gag" the show desperately needed. Instead, every "reveal" felt flat. Whenever the crimes pointed to her, it was only used as a cheap cliffhanger for the next episode, only to be resolved immediately with no real tension.
Overall, the drama has a decent storyline that is easy to follow and a good-looking cast, but the villains are average. It isn't special enough to go out of your way for, but it’s not a complete waste of time either. They could have done more, but in the end, they did an "okay" job. Not bad, not great—just okay.

Siren's kiss is more like misogyny's kiss
Misogyny can be very loosely summed up as prejudice or hatred of women and girls, often leading to harmful actions against them. In this show, the female lead literally doesn't do much wrong. She's just beautiful. And because of that, she had weirdos after her, often feeling like she owes them something when she doesn't. Even the male lead, whom she ends up with in the end, was initially very weird towards her and accused her of all kinds of stuff without any actual evidence.I probably would have enjoyed this series more if they had aired episodes every day or released them all at once. However, due to the pace, I found myself losing interest at times. As such, I rated this a 7/10. It's a decent show, and now that all the episodes are out, I do recommend it.

Did We All Watch the Same Drama?
After reading the MDL reviews for Siren’s Kiss, I prepared myself for disappointment. Instead, I found myself completely hooked. At this point, I’m convinced I accidentally watched a different version of the drama—one with a compelling storyline, engaging characters, and an OST that emotionally manipulated me in the best way possible.
The drama kept me invested from start to finish, and the music? Let’s just say my playlist has never recovered. Every time an OST played, my emotions packed their bags and went on a journey.
Sure, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it was definitely mine. And honestly, isn’t that what matters most?
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (9/10) – One point deducted only because the OST set unrealistically high emotional standards.

Yeah. Ok, just watch it. Umm. Peace.
I apologise for the silly title. I was joking with an MDL senpai, and mentioned I might write an one line review . . . Don't shoot me!As I just finished The Art of Sarah a few days ago, comparison is unavoidable. I'll keep it simple; Siren’s Kiss is better and both FL looks amazing in couture. If looks could kill!
PMY has been working consistently for years. Not all her dramas are top rated though. If I'm honest, some left me questioning her choices myself. Thankfully, this is one of the better ones. Not perfect, but good enough to keep the faith.
How so? May I present your honour with three pieces of supporting evidence.
Firstly, the optics of PMY is striking. Where she deliberately destroyed her visage in Marry My Husband. She also styled her looks to fit in with her character here. Han Seol-Ah barely eats and mostly survived on water and alcohol. It is a kind of penance, survivor's guilt if you like.
PMY went on a diet before and during the production. She does look gaunt at times which is worrisome. The director knows how to pull your focus towards her in most scenes.
Secondly, the writer-nim did a decent job with the script. While romance is a strong component, it is a whodunit at heart. I won't say that it is the best crime fiction though. It is not hard to see though some of the twist and turns. Now I'm curious about the 1999 J-drama series this is based on.
Thirdly, I have to admit the production team made the most of the posh fine art auction house as its setting. All those beautiful art installations. It is interesting to observe the back-end processes as well. I don't know how realistic it is, but it does elevate it above the typical office drama.
This also allows the show to set up some eye-catching scenes where the boundary between art and reality is blurred.
In terms of acting, PMY is the star. She knows her craft and she is dependable. She ages like a fine wine.
She is ably assisted by the ML. They are well matched and their chemistry is undeniable. Most of the supporting cast did well. The chairwoman and the 2ML are standouts. The SML did ok. He is probably the weaker link.
On top of that, the production value is top-notch. I don't know how realistic it is, but it is certainly a kaleidoscope of excesses. (Cough) The Art of Sarah (cough) OBTW, the OST is pretty good as well.
For me, it is one of the better shows of 2026. It is flawed, but very watchable. I won't quite recommend this to everyone as it is a bit niche in its presentation. It might even spark a debate of style vs substance amongst friends. Peace.
P.S. My original title was "How many femme fatales does it take to change a lightbulb?” . . . Don’t shoot me!

A Sorry State Affairs for the Siren Indeed!!
Han Seol A is an enigma!!So much so, that men kill or die for her sake!!
Reminds you of Helen of Troy, one of the characters in this show does reference the Greek mythological creature, the Siren. The show might have got its name from it or purely from the female protagonist’s demeanor. She is bewitching, beautiful, sharp tongued and enticing. Everyone wants her, but if you get too close, then death befalls you. She is seemingly normal, but beneath that veneer, she holds hundreds of secrets. Enough for a thousand ships to steer sail and conquer lands for her. The storyline was supposed to be something bewitching, but sadly, it turns into a perpetual mess where every death is blamed on the female protagonist while the real culprits roam around guilt-free. The male lead is added to the list of men who are enthralled by her beauty and want to trust her. Initially, he follows her around, because he suspects her of insurance fraud. Later, she is drawn to her vulnerability and becomes her shield instead.

RECOMMEND!!!
It was a pretty good watch. I feel like thrillers never miss so it’s not too surprising that it’s good.the actors thought they all killed it except for two who were a little off. yall girly fans are gonna be fooming at the mouth as I say this but kim jung hyun needs to stay in comedy or maybe work on it better, because in that one scene when he was telling her he was lee su ho he kept freezin up a little like idk.and also han joon woo I feel like the character he played was supposed to be killing and not caring while also being a little psycho, but his expressions were giving kinda scared and skeptical.
It was my first time seeing the actor kim dong jun and I feel like he embodied the psycho act perfectly honestly he should have been the main villain aka playing (do eun hyuk).

Fear inside
This production lingered in my mind long after each episode, even slipping into my lucid dreams. Its atmosphere, acting, and writing are masterfully woven together. Throughout the drama, suspicion shifted from one character to another — every moment made me wonder who the killer might be. When the idea of a face swap was introduced, I sensed it wouldn’t be that simple, and I was right. Each episode unfolded with twist upon twist, never settling into predictability.Woo Seok’s yearning for Seol Ah is portrayed with heartbreaking intensity, a love that aches through the screen. The drama’s luxurious aesthetic adds a strangely comforting layer, wrapping the suspense in elegance.
This is more than entertainment — it is an artwork. A drama that captured my heart, kept my thoughts restless, and inspired me to reach an imperfectly perfect world.
In the end, I expected a bigger twist, but it turned out to be me—and even without it, the art stands firmly on its own.

Alluring siren song
Thats why i will never trust mdl ratings 😅. Aside from the fact that everyone (fans&haters who didn't even watch the show) can rate here🤪. People here in MDL are sooo dramatic and annoying.Cos i genuinely love the show. Yes it has flaws (like any series) but i enjoyed it. Ive watched shows that are highly rated here in mdl but ended up disappointed.
I watched this solely for the casts esp park minyoung. They all delivered. Chemistry is good too.
I blame the writing on this one. Yes some are predictable but maybe thats what the writer/director is aiming for ✌️
If you are looking for a drama that perfectly balances high-stakes tension with emotional depth, Siren’s Kiss is a must-watch. It manages to break away from the typical tropes of the genre, delivering a narrative that is as intellectually stimulating as it is visually stunning.
Siren’s Kiss is a rare find that actually trusts its audience. It perfectly blends a "healing" story of resilience with a gripping thriller plot. Whether you’re watching for the romance or the mystery, it delivers both with genuine style and heart.
PS- the director ruined the kissing scenes here. Like cmon now. Minyoung is a great kisser. Missed opportunity cos of the bad angle....

This is really a good drama.Trust me!
I think a good drama means where you never feel bored. The 12 eps kept me curious even though it was slightly predictable. But i felt connected thru the all 12 eps. And wi ha joon had my all attention!! He was so charming and hot😭!! The way everyone is hating over park min young.. i dont get the point cz her character was like that. And i slightly agree with the fact tht, the ML and FL's chemistry was off in some point.Park min young seemed a little far away from wi ha joon. But from his side, the thing was so visible and fascinating! In my pov, the drama is so good and worth watching. Why ppl are overjudging and overreacting in Everything😭 Just go with flow and the dramaa!!

Stylist murder mystery with awesome cast
I loved watching this mystery. The cast was solid - they did a great job playing interesting characters. The story was interesting and maybe not the hardest to figure out but but with all of the characters, it was interesting to see how their stories intersected. I loved the dynamic of the main leads. I love the visuals and the art world elements. I think I could see myself watching this again, even though some of the twists would be known. Was this review helpful to you?
A quietly powerful thriller with strong emotional depth.
Siren’s Kiss may not be the easiest drama to watch, but that’s exactly what makes it stand out. It leans more into psychological tension and emotional storytelling rather than fast-paced twists, and I really appreciated that.Han Seolah is a complex character who carries a lot of pain, and Park Minyoung delivers a very controlled and nuanced performance. Her emotions aren’t always loud or exaggerated, but that subtlety fits the character perfectly. You can feel what she’s going through even in the quiet moments.
The relationship between Seolah and Wooseok also develops in a way that feels natural within the story. It’s not just romance, it’s about understanding, healing, and slowly learning to trust again.
Visually, the drama has a very moody and immersive atmosphere that matches its themes well. The storytelling might feel slow to some, but it builds tension steadily and focuses more on character depth than shock value.
Overall, this is a drama that stays with you because of its emotional weight and character-driven narrative. Definitely worth watching if you enjoy darker, more introspective stories.
