IS IT A MESS YES BUT IT'S MY MESS
Alot of people call out this drama beacuse of the toxic male lead but i for one think this drama was REFRESHING i had been in an endless slump watching the same type of man plastered across every single k drama the perfect understanding charismatic rich sensitive basically perfect boyfriend who is basically a god compared to u i think for me it was refreshing to see a k drama with a different type of male lead not just a photocopy put in a different body type format although i agreee he was extremely toxic and any girl should run away if they meet someone like him irl nobody can deny it was amazing to see a change a pace in the k drama world another honourable mention are the twins because they carried the backbone of which this drama was built on they completely devoured their roles i would say anyone should at least try and watch this drama with an unpredejuiced mindsetWas this review helpful to you?
A "Siren" Who Forgot to Sing
Why is she called a Siren when she refuses to use any of her abilities to charm her way into the world and push people away constantly? When I first started watching this drama, I thought it was incredibly underrated and had the potential to be one of the top shows of the year. However, as the episodes progressed, my attention and love for the series began to fade.First of all, there was no need for it to be twelve episodes long or released on a weekly schedule. This drama had the scope of an eight-episode binge-watch and nothing more. Returning weekly makes viewers want to drop it because the payoff doesn't feel worth the wait. Twelve episodes felt like too much for this specific plot, so the writers added unnecessary filler to bridge the gaps, only to wrap it all up with a predictable killer and anticlimactic ending
Given the title Siren's Kiss, I expected the female lead to be an enchanting, "siren-like" figure who used her wit and charm to make men succumb to her. Instead, she was portrayed as a traumatized victim whom men flocked to out of pity. It would have been a much better twist if she actually were the killer; sirens are supposed to be mystical, beautiful, and deadly, but we mostly watched her in a state of perpetual fear and anxiety for twelve episodes straight.
As for the main couple, their chemistry feels like a 50/50 split. In some scenes, the acting feels forced and lacks passion, while in others, they look great together—especially in the kissing scenes. It feels like the "chemistry" comes mostly from the fact that they are two very attractive people rather than a deep, natural connection.
The side characters were also quite frustrating. From the sister and the police officers to her coworkers, almost everyone except the leads felt like "rage-bait." Then there is the killer—who didn't clock that? From episode one, it was the most obvious person. Why choose them? The comment sections were full of people calling it early on. Making the female lead the villain would have provided the "gag" the show desperately needed. Instead, every "reveal" felt flat. Whenever the crimes pointed to her, it was only used as a cheap cliffhanger for the next episode, only to be resolved immediately with no real tension.
Overall, the drama has a decent storyline that is easy to follow and a good-looking cast, but the villains are average. It isn't special enough to go out of your way for, but it’s not a complete waste of time either. They could have done more, but in the end, they did an "okay" job. Not bad, not great—just okay.

LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION
Why is nobody ready to be chaotic? why are we so tame? whats going on? Why is everyone so concerned about the others feelings?Only Friends: Dream On was the long-awaited sequel to Only Friends, and I was extremely excited for it. It was one of my most anticipated dramas of the year, but ultimately, I feel it wasn't as good as it could have been.
The Actors vibes and setting where all there for a messy season but somehow the writers downplayed everything.Don’t get me wrong,I enjoyed the show. The drama on and off the set, the lying, and the catfights were all very entertaining, but it still felt like something was missing. While this acts as a standalone sequel rather than a direct continuation, it is set in the same universe, so I can't help but compare it to the original. Personally, I think the first series was much better. In Dream On, I felt like everyone was trying too hard to be a "good person," which misses the point of the Only Friends brand. Nobody seemed to want to be a chaotic force of evil.
The show was far too tame until about Episode 7. It might sound crazy, but it wasn't nearly as toxic as it needed to be. Everyone kept trying to do the right thing, which honestly bored me. Even when they introduced Boston to the mix, I thought, "Yes! Finally, the drama has arrived!" only for everyone to reject his advances. Then, when someone finally gave in, Boston suddenly decided to grow a conscience?
This isn't supposed to be a heartfelt drama; it’s Only Friends. We are here to see a mess! When Dean and Arnold went into that forest, I nearly threw my phone in excitement because I expected cheating and characters with zero moral codes. Instead, the writers chose loyalty. In any other show, I’d applaud that, but here? We want horrible people making bad choices. Think back to Top and Boston in Season 1 they didn't just cross the line they obliterated it. That’s what kept us on the edge of our seats.
The Couples
Despite my gripes with the plot, the couples were solid. Here is how I ranked them:
1. Jack and Dean: They take the cake for me. They were the epitome of ex-lovers, second chances, and messy mistakes. There is something captivating about their dynamic.
2. Arnold and Tua: They were sweet and heartwarming. Falling in love with your best friend can be the best or worst mistake of your life, and they definitely made the best of it.
3. Rome and Raffy: The definition of hot and cold. While I didn’t love their relationship as much as the others, their physical chemistry was easily the best in the show.
For the side charcters Timmy was my absolute favorite. He showed up for everyone, took his job seriously, and never missed a beat. Even though he wasn't involved in the drama, he always ended up being the one to break up the catfights.
Then there was Pete he was adorable, but I couldn't take his "schemes" seriously because he looks like Theodore from Alvin and the Chimmunks. He definitely needs help, tho
The cameos also made my heart melt. Seeing Top and Mew, and Ray and Sand was amazing.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I liked the show. It has an active plot and a sensational storyline, but it felt too safe for the level of "crazy" I expected. I wanted hardcore backstabbing and deeper drama and more meaningful intimate scenes. The drama was good, but it didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the trailer. It’s still a good watch and a must try show, but I just wish it stayed a little messier.

Something is missing
I am a huge fan of reincarnation dramas but unfortunately this was not the one for me. I was expecting to really loved it a smart female lead and a reincarnation plotline are literally my 2 favourite combos in Asian dramas but unfortunately i didn't like this one as much as expected. It felt mid, like something was missing but i can't exactly explain what. The acting is ok,story is easy to follow, couples have good chemistry and plotlines are interesting but at the same time i felt like i was hurrying up to the finish line with this drama especially acter they got married that's when it just became a 2x speed type of show. At the same time it was interesting and nice to watch but not something i would go out of my way to reminisce about. Was this review helpful to you?
WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL
What i want to understand is how you can go from being practically the best unexpected K drama of 2025 to one of the worst in a matter of 7 episodes????This show had the strongest first half I've seen in a korean drama for a very long time it had the old school vibes with ur cliche characters who had charm. So how the hell did it manage to go wrong? THE WRITERS THATS WHY
Here are a couple of rewrites that would have made the drama better
First of all there was absolutely no reason for the both male leads to like Go da rim ,Writers need to understand we are comfortable in a world and situation where all the men don't love our female lead i mean it practically made no sense u had 20 years but u didn’t confess until she found someone else HELLLLLLLL TO THE NO, the 2nd male lead should have liked the 2nd female lead and both begin a relationship while still trying to keep Go da rims secret
second of all the whole misunderstanding arc i understand is the basline of the drama but was dragged on too thoughtlessly only for a rather unclimatic reveal, instead the writers should have revealed it during the time he thought the 2nd ml and the 2nd fl we're having an affair. They all should have told him in a funny way they were a couple and him and Da rim would be free to date privately the show would have been 100 percent better if it followed the 4 couples hiding their relationships each pretending to be with the others parthner in public
Third of all
The sister and the chairman and the very uncessary practically useless to the plot brother in law, why were any of these characters given half the screen time??? the completely ruined any potential of character depth with the sister when that BIL was introduced, she truly would have made a perfect addition to his mom and him group to take down the chairman and he would have given her the company without issues???? And honestly that slap the chairman gave Go da rim was completely disgusting and off-putting literally no reason to do that its FKING ASSAULT
Last of all
the whole 2 last episode needed to be thrown out because why are we adding every kind of random uncessary drama cliches known to mankind? i was so baffled i even expected them to add a they met when they were children trope to wrap the huge Christmas present up since they were so keen of destroying any kind of sensible thought process i mean LEAVING THE CITY , YOUR HANDSOME BOYFRIEND WORKS TO WOO YOU BACK,CAR ACCIDENT, AMNESIA they should have made her pregnant instead of her co worker if they knew they wanted to endorse such nonsense
To sum it up
I am truly disappointed in this drama i was in a very big depressing slump this year and the first half of this show really changed that for me it hurts when a drama you know has so much potential just crumbles down due to Lazy writing i mean gather 5 k drama watchers on this app and they could think of a better Second half than this show i know my ideas are probably not the best but in my opinion they are 90 percent better than what we watched on screen it felt like a complete time waste to even invest in such a drama when it all comes burning down. But still kudos to the actors they did an amazing job and kudos to the First episodes writers. I guess we are ending the year with another When the phone rings kind of failure IYKYK.
Merry Christmas people and Happy new fking year

So why did nobody wish for it to stop?
With all the wishes being made, you would think at least one person would say, "Okay, a supernatural curse is following and killing everyone; let’s try wishing for it to stop." But no. Not once. It wasn't even on anyone's radar. They just wished for literal nonsense; not a single wish was actually beneficial to the plot.To be fair, horror shows aren't my favorite. I usually dislike them because of the way characters act without a single common brain cell, and this show managed to capture everything I hate about the genre in its entirety.
Imagine everyone around you is dying from a supernatural curse and your major focus is... that. You're 18 years old, and all you can think about is yourself and some boy? Nari is one of the worst-written characters I’ve ever witnessed in K-drama history. Honestly, her demise is one of the main reasons I’m rating this mediocrity as high as I am. Almost all the characters were so annoying that I found myself more interested in the side characters, who at least provided some entertainment. I know it sounds wrong, but I wanted the villain to win. I wanted all of them to die because that’s how bored I was. The antagonist was completely justified; she took the phrase "I want my enemies to suffer" literally.
Moving past the characters, the plot was so confusing it was hard to keep track of what was happening. The creators relied heavily on cheap jump scares to keep you motivated to watch. The beginning was also far too fast-paced. I understand it’s only eight episodes at less than 45 minutes each, but how can you kill off a supposedly "important" character so early and expect viewers to care? People were dying in almost every episode, and my only reaction was, "Oh, okay." No shock, no emotion—just "What’s next?"
It’s not a bad drama—I’m sure someone else will rate it higher than I did—but it’s not very good either. It’s the kind of show you watch once and then immediately forget. Like so many other Netflix Korean dramas lately, it feels more about churning out content than taking the time to develop a show with actual substance.
This is just my review, but definitely try it for yourselves.

JUST AN AVERAGE WATCH
Maybe I'm biased but i 100 percent belive if this drama wasn't done by a famous couple it would not have reached the same level of success the plot is very full and engaging but personally i didn't really like it. It was ok and fun the side characters were hilarious but i would never watch it willingly againWas this review helpful to you?

WHAT THE HELLIE??????
I don't know which is worst the fact that for the first 10 episodes i actually enjoyed this show or the fact it has a 7.4 RATING????? Have we lost the point so bad . He liked her and didn't know how to approach her so he hired doctors and a research facility to pretend that she had it the helllllllll and they still somehow end up together? How about flowers, how about perfume, how about a letter why cancer who wrote this drama who ordered ANOTHER season who is responsible for this atrocious writing they should all be investigated this isn't love this is demonic and sociopathic activity what is going on if i could give it 0 stars i would why would anyone in their right minds think that THIS is the standard for love pls ladies if u give this hire than 1 stars u need serious mental evaluationWas this review helpful to you?
Complete Rubbish
If we had contenders for Korean drams and movies that couldn't be accepted or remade today this would be at the top of the list. The fact it holds a 7.5 currently on mydramalist is very concerning. When i first watched this i was 15 years old i rated it a 10 out of 10, 4 years later when i actually developed and formed intellectual sense i change it to a 1 out of 10. The movies entire premise is a girl who gets into anrranged marriage with a 23 year old man at 16. Lol currently I'm 19 and i wouldn't even date a 16 year old not to talk of marriage no matter the scenario. This movies rating is the reason why we have laws banning child marriage because people see this and confuse it for a romance they think it's sweet but it's actually very concerning. Was this review helpful to you?

A Mediocre watch
Going from watching the masterpiece that Alchemy of souls Season 1 is to this is truly disappointing this season lacked the depth humour and charm season 1 embodied i know alpt of people trash on this drama because if the actresses change but that isn't even on my radar because i liked the new actress of course i preferred the other but for me they didn't really feel like the same person and we ciuld partially understand why but it wasn't only that that failed this season the plot going artificially nowhere to the bombastic anticlimactic ending i was really hoping since she had been dubbed the workds deadliest assassin to see even a little taste of the power but no not even an imaginary glimps all in all it still provided something to chew on hence the 7 but for me personally imaginary gonna stick with only season 1Was this review helpful to you?
So whats the point?
I watched this movie completely blind without even seeing the trailer and thought i was getting the average korean disaster apocalypse film but truly i was blown away by the sci fi AI combo, Literally why??? why didn't they just make it a regular disaster film why are we dealing with artificial intelligence reincarnation and robots all wrapped in the disguise of an Disaster movie highly uncessary in my opinion but too each their own this was however not my cup of tea in the slightestWas this review helpful to you?
Perfect show for people with undeveloped frontal lobes
If you’re looking for cringe-heavy, Wattpad-style entertainment tailored for media-illiterate teenagers, complete with rubbish dialogue and constant second-hand embarrassment—all fueled by a concerning amount of smoking—this is the perfect show for you.Everything about this series is extremely lackluster. Calling it one of the best BL (Boys' Love) shows in existence is distasteful and disrespectful to truly incredible series. However, I must give praise where it's due: as one of the first Chinese BLs, they certainly broke ground. Even if they failed the technical aspects, representation matters.
Maybe I’m being overly critical, but you should only watch this if you don't care about the plot making any sense at all.

A NOD FOR TYLENOL
If your addicted to dramas with child like minded female leads then this is the drama for u bingo because u just hit ur markWhat kind i say the chemistry between the main leads was there they where a cute couple but the drama lacked any substance and the addition of the uncessary evil 2nd female lead was just stupid writing
The side couples stories where just misunderstandings that could have been wrapped into an episode but was chosen to drag on all in all not a bad drama just have a pain killer next to u while u watch because hearing the females leads voice(she sounds like a child)will definitely give u a headache

Overhyped
This platform has a tendency to overhype shows of mediocre viewings. This drama presents a unique storyline with the VR and mystery game concept but it's also not really important in the story,it setves no fundamental essential plotline and only serves as a backing to introduce our main couple. In all honesty i found myself enjoying the 2nd fl story more than this entire thing. Her divorce arc was generally the only thing that kept me entertained. We have seen this story multiple times boss and employee secret romance and the ml has a hidden secret . I could pinpoint 10 shows with this exact storyline all over so why is this one trendy?I have to admit they have nice good chemistry with good kissing scenes and a strong rapport but that wasn't enough to keep me interested at all.
This is just an average drama that casted 2 beautiful people the end.
