Koreas failed attempt at Inventing Anna

It's a nice decent story in my opinion just nothing special. It remonds me so much of the inventing Anna tv show similar concepts someone pretending to be a different person to appeal to high society, i really liked that show and i was happy because i thought this was going to be similar since it was also made by Netflix but this show failed horrendously at that attempt. For one they made everything so overcomplicated if we get rid of all the uncessary fillars this could have beesn a quick short movie not an 8 episode show. Everything is made to seem like it's this big incredible secret but any person with media knowledge can guess the plot from start to finish.
It's not a bad drama by any means but just a little disappointing because the actress is so good irl given a script like this just makes it seem unworthy of her talents.
This is just a quick little binge that no one remembers after it's done that's all.

A Star Studded but regular drama

I finally watches this drama after putting it on my watch list for over a year and i was not extremely pleased this was just a regular average drama that happened to cast 2 very famous leads now here are some of the things i enjoyed

1. I loves the very realistic portrayals of burnout syndrome i feel and relate to this so much even if u do well in High school and spend ur every moment preparing for successful it is not guaranteed and u can most likely have an unsuccessful life. The leads struggle with there mental health and their journey of how they found one another in their darkest moments really touched me and is literally one of the only reasons i rated it so high. The portrayal of mental health Depression PTSD was done very well here

2. The 2nd leads were actually entertaining their story as single divirced parents navigating dealing with different gender children touched my heart as we dont get too see this common in Korean dramas

3.The leads academic rivarly and friendship,those flashbacks from high school were so funny and nice to watched it warmed my heart the way they bartered each other was truly the comedy aspect of this drama. And before tehe caught feelings for one another their friendship as Adults was surprisingly very interesting they helped each other and found happiness in one another i dont believe every single connection between men and women need to be romantic and this is an unpopular opinion i would have preferred if they were just friends not that their was anything wrong with their relationship they are several moments which they were adorable but it was just heartwarming to see them navigate becoming childhood enemies to friends

Those things are generally what i liked about the show there is nothing else that made me want to watch it everything else was just mellow and non interesting in my opinion

the leads have an okay amount of chemistry not seething and fiery just a measurable amount compare it to another of the leads famous drama Strong woman boon song i could barely frel him and Park Shin hyes chemistry it felt like a mellow plug. I mean we could imagine they together in a way that makes sense but still ache for chemistry

Her entire family dynamic was just blah i didn't care if there scenes came up or not i would still watch

The entire Case and lawsuit against him was extremely predictable i clocked it from the beginning it was obvious he was framed and i wasn't aching to find out what happened

Thats all my takeaways from the show honestly everything else isnt worth my time to type

A BLAST TO THE PAST

First of all i would like to say i don't conduct bullying of any sorts especially to doing that to someone who u claim to like perhaps if this drama premiered today it will get canceled and i would have been commenting negative words on every post but it did not so in that note despite all the things I've said nobody can deny the chokehold this drama had on us my first ever k drama and it was epic it took me on a Rollercoaster of emotions that i still feel to this day at the time of watching this i didnt understand the bullying aspect now that i am older i can understand i am physically repulsed by the idea but still can't deny i absolutely love this drama it's like a toxic ex u can't get enough of is it disgusting in the plot aspect yes but am i also gonna rebinge it every 1 or 2 years also yes whats a girl to do

AN OVERLOOKED DRAMA

Its an underrated gem a diamond buried in the rough this drama is exciting and thrilling i did enjoy all episodes a generious amount episodes 3 to 5 is a MASTERPIECE on its own it surely needs to be made into a drama on its own it STOOD OUT the chemistry tension and passion between the two leads on it's own was better than about 90 percent of other well known dramas they took this little budget drama and made it into their own show. I loved their tension just one look at each other and u could practically feek it from the screen while i did quite like the other episodes its obvious the 2nd couple owned the stage i hope another drama with the 2 of them comes out

ABSOLUTELY F NO

Contemplated watching this show till the end just because, but i just reliased no one is forcing me to continue this. As someone who didn't read the webtoon and just watched this drama cause i am a fan of the FL everything in this show after episode 2 is just not worth it. To be frank i know it's only February but we may just have our top contender for worst korean drama of the year. Because how do u mess up such an interesting direct storyline like Unexpected pregnancy and One night stand. This is literally one of the easiest tropes to make because u don't even gotta do much just literally show us how it happened and how they decide to handle the situation. The thing that baffles me even more is u literally had a direct Webtoon to follow that people loved so it's not like u had to use ur head to come up with new details u literally quite simply had to follow the book. And why is our female lead dressed like a Grandmother? Do the writers think women in their 30s and 40s give up on style once they reach that age because why even the Female leads best friend and the Male leads niece are outdressing her i would even go as far as to say the Sister in Law was outmogging her in style each episode. How do u turn one of the most beautiful actress in Korea into a frumpy Ungodly sight? Poor girl was using her face card and had nothing else to offer. And as for the ml i don't even have an actual opinion on him that's how boring he was for me absolutely bland stereotypical annoying mess in fact everyone in this show was just annoying especially the sister in law i mean if u want to create a villian create one with an actual reasonably reason to hate u would have been better if it was the ML mother or Father or someone else rather than her. Also why are Korean dramas obsessed with the idea any man around u especially ones who have been with u seen u were little are automatically in love with you? Same as dynamite kiss. Why are Platonic male and female friendships some sort of rare commodity tbh i would be pissed if my friend whose had years of time and didn't confess says something when i finally get a man in my life because tf no should have done that longgg timee ago I'm already taken. I don't even know what to say from the terrible domestic ratings, incompetent writing and very conservative fan base this show is just an absolute complete mess.
I am of the opinion u could gather 5 random users on this platform and they would create a better storyline than this but well whats done is done.

Also shout out to the sexiest messiest loudest most dramatic conservative comment section i have ever witnessed on this platform. I thought i had witnessed it all but well this comment section proved me wrong some of yall are really stupid.
A woman can and should always have the right to choose what to do with her body argue with the walll.

A BEAUTY AND A BEAST

This is one of the few dramas im the korean media where you can say the female lead ate up every single character like a breeze this was a very very long overdue change of pace long have we grown tired of the idiot shy poor unconfident female leads we are used too. This drama has managed to create a female lead with an actual personality while highlighting mental problems very effectively. It's Ok not to be Okay may just be one of the most well wrotten dramas of all time every single charcter had their own story their own personality the acting in this show is worth Oscars of Oscars everybody demolished this. The show follows people who are different than our used to characters we see on our screens just a masterpiece and this kight be kim soo hyuns last good role he might ever get in his entire career
