Aaaargh...
So, this has way too many misunderstandings! So much so that fewer episodes would have been better. I am not hating here; it's my frustration speaking! On the other hand, the acting and music made it better! Shout out to the actors for making this work!!!P.S. I wish Ha Min would get a happy ending; he truly deserves it!

Yeah no, this is not right.
Sadly I‘ve got to agree with other negative reviews. This is not a good drama. The whole plot revolves around one person refusing to communicate. And another person sort of trying but also sort of refusing. They could’ve kept this up for like 4 episodes and then resolved the issue and continued with something different. But it just went on and on for 8 daunting episodes. I finished because the actors were cute.No side character added anything meaningful to this already very meaningless series…
I would not watch again. And I also don’t think anyone needs to waste their time doing so. Maybe if you‘re just really really bored and need something to play in the background while knitting or something…

Criminally Underrated
I don’t care what anyone says, this drama is an absolute gem. The humour is on point, it makes jokes about how incredibly clueless the main characters are at times and it still manages to punch you in the gut with emotions in the end. Is the cinematography as good a in other dramas? No, not even close. Is the acting out of this world? No. Is it still my new favorite? Yes, because it has so much heart and I would do anything to see these characters happy. The main critique I see for this drama is miscommunication and people saying that Bawoo should learn to speak up and I have to disagree, because at the end of the day we have two queer characters who have to actually be scared about speaking up and the repercussions of their feelings, because sadly that’s just the world we live in. Adding to this the fact that at the beginning of the drama both Bawoo and Jihoon did bravely speak up about their feelings but both thought the other person wasn’t serious, because they had to play it down/deny it in front of their friends. I myself would be scared to ever speak up again after that, considering the panic attack I had for speaking up about my feelings before and it’s not the same for straight people, who „only“ ever have to worry about getting their hearts broken. I thought this drama perfectly incapsulated the feeling of being human and queer and that’s all it was ever supposed to do. Is it realistic? No, but the themes and undertones are. Don‘t watch it if you don’t want to go along with the hardships of life and the pain of being queer and in love, even if they are secondary in this drama, they still are part of it. The miscommunication in this drama is all self-preservation based, and I would never blame a queer character or person for trying to keep themselves and their heart safe, especially if they were already burned before. You don’t have to like this drama (I myself only have it in my favorites, because it felt like home, not because of the actual quality of the drama), but please try to relate to these characters and the positions they are in.Was this review helpful to you?

Going Nowhere Together: Something's Not Right indeed!
As someone who has watched many K-BL dramas, I found this series to be particularly frustrating. The central friendship between Do Ba U and Ji Hun, which is supposedly rooted in childhood, lacks the authenticity and depth one would expect from such a long-standing bond. But somehow they made it seem as though they’ve only just met, making it difficult to understand how their friendship has endured over the years. The contrast in their personalities, one slightly mature, the other more childish, had the potential to create an engaging dynamic, but it was poorly developed and ultimately became tiresome.Jung Ha Min, a character who could have brought depth or tension to the narrative, was reduced to a familiar cliché. His actions often came across as intrusive rather than helpful, particularly in his attempts to support Do Ba U. His presence added little to the story, and his character could have been utilized in a far more meaningful way, but we got the cliché. The central misunderstanding that drives much of the conflict felt contrived and unnecessary. For characters who are portrayed as childhood friends, the lack of open communication was both unrealistic and frustrating. While fear and hesitation are understandable, the prolonged miscommunication undermined the emotional impact the story seemed to aim for.
Finally, the romantic confession, a pivotal moment, was disappointingly random and poorly timed. There were several earlier opportunities for a heartfelt revelation that were simply ignored, which made the eventual confession feel forced and disconnected from the narrative’s progression.
In summary, this drama had a promising premise but faltered due to weak character development, overused tropes, and missed emotional beats

miscommunication in the BIG 2025
well I HATED this… it started so good and although it was a reused story (best friends=unrequited love) it went downhill as soon as the big problem (miscommunication) started repeating itself over and over and over again. The fact that everything could’ve been avoided if they just TALKED. The miscommunication trope is honestly another way of lazy writing and in here, it seems like it’s the only thing that kept the story going.
Also, the main character Do Wabu is so painfully annoying, I just wanted him to end up alone. Like wdym you get angry when he doesn’t understand your feelings but at the same you don’t care to explain them?????
Idk you can judge by yourself but expect lots and lots of stress while watching.
P.D: the clumsy one liking do wabu first doesn’t make any sense and it honestly felt like a punch in the face lol

Was this review helpful to you?

SheCo
Fora isso o resto me agradou. Dou uma nota 8/10! Inclusive eles não cantaram então já ganham 5 pontos extras kkkkk. Was this review helpful to you?
