Mixed emotions
I’ve watched a few k-dramas now to understand when the polt and troupe of the drama is there but in the end the delivery was not.in the first few episodes it wasn’t bad , and had a pretty steady pace, but once I reached the episode 5 and still didn’t understand where the story was going I really started to loose hope for this drama. I love the actors they are soo cute. but the development and delivery was not there. the unnecessary confusion if the third ML was going to end up having something with the ML was seriously disappointing. if there wasn’t going to be any kind of triangle i felt like having that third character was unnecessary in its entirety in the drama , and it could have been just them working out the miscommunication.
overall, it was cute and sweet , would I watch again ? no.

Somthing Is Not Right!
Spoiler alert: the title was never lying. Not once. Not a single thing was right for 8 episodes and I LOVED it anyway. The Plot (I Think?):
Ba U doesn’t want to be friends with Ji Hun anymore, because he’s in love with him. But he says none of that.
Ji Hun is confused, clueless, and adorable. He tries to win Ba U back like he lost a sock.
Enter Hamin, who sees this all and goes, “This is great webtoon material.” And you know what? It is.
They all stumble through layers of misunderstanding, emotional repression, and accidental stalking allegations.
The communication is so bad, I started rooting for inanimate objects to pass messages (looking at you, diary).
Eventually Ji Hun kisses Ba U. Ba U says “you pity me.” And I said, “THERAPY. NOW.”
Somehow Hamin becomes the glue of the whole thing, delivering letters like it’s a Jane Austen novel.
Finally: Confession accepted. Boys together. Lesbians bloom. Chaos quiets.
Characters:
Ba U
Emotionally constipated. Terminal case of “I’m not lovable.” Wears his trauma like a cozy hoodie and pushes everyone away for their own good (aka no one’s good). Did he sabotage his own happiness? Yes. Do I want to give him a blanket and therapy? Also yes.
Ji Hun
He means so well. He loves Ba U. He just doesn't know that's what it is for, like, 80% of the show. Most likely to say “I thought we were just really close friends who almost kissed, is that not normal?” Sir, please. Your guitar can’t save you from emotional awareness.
Hamin
Artist. Chaotic. Almost Emotionally fluent while everyone else is just grunting through feelings.
He reads a diary, thinks it’s fiction, finds out it’s real, and STILL decides to help instead of run.
Whether it’s platonic, queerplatonic, or romantic—he was love in action.
Da Eun + Ha Gyeong
2-minute sapphic side couple. Show-stealers.
Their arc was short, sweet, and gave me more serotonin than the entire main plot.
What I Loved:
The mess. This show isn’t neat, and it doesn’t pretend to be.
Hamin being an accidental fairy godmother of their romance.
The writing in Ba U’s diary. I will always like a diary in my drama.
The friend group. Although they share the same braincell.
The side couple.
Hamin. (yeah, lol)
What Drove Me to Yell Into a Pillow:
NO ONE TALKS. EVER. Every problem could be solved with one sentence.
Ba U’s self-worth is so low it made me cry.
They made Hamin fall into the “one-sided love” trope when he deserved to be the peaceful outsider!
Final Thoughts:
This show is like watching two people try to hug with blindfolds on, while a third guy yells instructions from across the street holding a novel he thought was fake.
It’s messy, frustrating, awkward—and weirdly beautiful.
It’s not perfect, but it hit something in me. That soft ache of being young and scared to speak.
And sometimes? That’s enough.
The cinematography and acting was great though!
Would I recommend it?
Yes, if you're okay yelling "JUST TALK!" every five minutes.

Takes itself too seriously.
A series where the parts were often achingly beautiful yet failed to add up in the end to a satisfying whole. Extending the high school crush into college and then adding the possibility of a third wheel provided the writer/director with lots of opportunity to create confusion in the audience about the likely ending, but the road to get there was lengthy and insufficiently entertaining to be meaningful at the end. Beautiful to look at but emotionally unsatisfying. Was this review helpful to you?

The story line is overall GOOD!
The drama is nice, I liked the characters too. The drama also gives off a cute vibe, which I like. The only problem is it takes the guy to know that guy likes him lol, it is kind of annoying but also cute. What I loved :
The characters
The male leads (not the 3rd guy)
The story line
The setting
What I disliked :
The 3rd guy (the one who draws webtoons) - because I feel like he would come in between the friends to lovers couple which makes me a little mad.
The time it takes the guy to realise his best friend has a crush on him lol. (its cute but kind of annoying as I said earlier)
BUT overall the story so far is GREAT, I like how he is slowly trying to understand the feelings of each other.
HOPE YALL WILL WATCH IT!!

Takes forever to get to the dame point
Drama is long and so many unnecessary things. Just get to the dame point already. Takes forever for them to explain their feelings. Each episode could had been shorter or at least remove unnecessary scene to add in the necessary scene. Now it gonna take longer to finish the drama bc it won’t get to the main point of the story. Was this review helpful to you?

Something’s Not Right… and it’s the script
Listen. I came in with high hopes. The leads? STUNNING. Visuals?? Off the charts. The potential?? Immaculate. Black cat x golden retriever dynamic?? Inject it directly into my veins. I wanted to love this. I really did.But sadly… something truly was not right 😭
We had Ba Woo, a precious golden retriever man who was yearning, crying, and projecting emotions like a side character in a Shakespearean tragedy—and Jee Hoon, a man so emotionally repressed he made Mr. Darcy look like a talk show host. The chemistry was there but the storytelling said “nah.”
Instead of giving us a slow-burn romance with healing and mutual understanding, we got a confusing mess of miscommunication, deadpan reactions, and emotional whiplash. Every time a moment built up, the next scene undercut it. It was like watching two gorgeous men circle each other in a fog of unresolved trauma and half-written dialogue.
This show could’ve been the blueprint for “friends to lovers with longing stares and tearful confessions.” Instead, it gave “Pinterest moodboard with zero substance.”
I stayed for the pretty faces. I left with a migraine and a sense of what could’ve been.

Dear Writers please don't write anymore
My God ,im sorry of being a bit rude, but i had to write a review, if you really have nothing to write just don't, instead of producing things like this .The serie is empty, boring ,have no line to follow nothing. Is just literally a empty story to follow til the last episode when a word i like you is said, like it have to change the universe.
The acting is mediocre, because of the empty silence in between conversations and the dead stare of Actors, and i don't think the actors themselves are bad ,the direction they are given make it unbearable to watch.

everyone needs a good smack
by episode 6, all I wanted was for someone to just stop. I love a good angst, but there was none. instead there was just one character, Ba U, who was wishy washy and too scared to have any faith in his so called best friend Hun. He proceeded to consistently gaslight Hun.by the end I just wanted Hun to say **** this and walk away. sadly he didn't. fast forwarded my way through the last two episodes. would suggest watching that terrible Tuxedo or Unforgotten Night multiple times instead of this.

Something is Wrong Indeed.
Maybe I liked this accurately named short drama (which I will admit, is good for a watch and discard type) because it was obviously never meant to be as serious compared to the likes of Blueming or Semantic Error. I did not expect anything out of it, considering that the team probably had a very tight budget as they seemed to have shot every single scene either with the lighting effect of the burning sun or bright streetlights at night.• Cast: Was quite good. They portrayed what they had been given. Which makes me think about the characters...
• Characters: I know that more than half of the people who watched this drama are cursing Do Ba Woo, as the entire story is told from his perspective. But, the character whom I just did not understand till the very end is Ji Hoon. It is blatantly obvious that the script was written solely for Do Ba Woo. Every single scene with Ji Hoon did not convince me even once that he had had any feelings for Ba Woo.
Somebody should've banned Ji Hoon from using the word 'like' because he took it in a literal sense, whatever the case. Yes, it is sort of explained that he was far too scared to reveal his emotions, but writing the entire story from the point of view of one character and attempting to convince viewers about the other in the last couple of minutes just did not sit well with me.
Do Ba Woo might come off as a selfish individual immersed in his own feelings, but how was he to go after a friend who -- 1. Did not take his confessions seriously. 2. Heavily implied that they were friends multiple times.
Ba Woo was a serious loner and Ji Hoon was always the kind of person who seems to easily attract friends. (Look at his bandmates! By the way, they were another favorite part of the story for me.)
Ji Hoon makes Kakeru from Kimi Ni Wa Todakanai look like Einstein when it comes to verbal communication.
Ha Min was the impetus that sets the boat sailing. He deeply regretted it, but I was far more satisfied with how he grew up by the end of show.
• Script: Weak as wet paper. They should've speed run the last three episodes and focused on important moments -- such as Ji Hoon's character and reactions. Heck, even the last scene seems to be a re-imagination of what would've happened if Ji Hoon fearlessly communicated his feelings back then.
• Music: The songs were okay. But, I think this is the first time I ever felt that the background instrumentals failed to properly convey the urgency of the scenes. It was the same multiple times.
• Final Thoughts: It's not terrible, but the script was undoubtably a failure. So, I suggest you close your eyes and attempt to understand the characters and dive in to decide on your own whether something is very wrong.

Disappointed...it's so badly written
The story is interesting but badly executed. My favorite thing in this drama is Ji Hun's friends; they are hilarious, and I love Ji Hun's character; he always makes me smile. He is so cute. On the other hand, Do Ba U is getting on my nerves, especially toward episode 7. To be honest, the writing is bad. The ending of episode 7 had my blood boiling, as did episode 8, because after all the fuss he made, he suddenly changed his mind. Waste of time. Was this review helpful to you?

The risk of losing a friendship
Having been in a friends-to-lovers situation, I get why neither of them wanted to risk losing their friendship once their feelings started to change. Ji Hoon witnessed what their close girl friend went through when she confessed and lost her friendship with Ba Woo, and he didn't want that. He was happy to remain by his side as a friend, as long as they could be together. And Ba Woo kept his own feelings inside until he could no longer do so. His confession was not heard though, because "I like you" is something friends say to one another. It didn't let let a dense and clueless Ji Hoon know that it was a different kind of "like."I was commiserating with the characters' feelings of being misunderstood, because that's how it felt when I was in my late teens and my early 20s. I was still learning how to communicate my very large feelings to a guy whose personality was very different from mine. We met the first week of university and were in the same friend group. Although I didn't spend all my time with them, I enjoyed being with them as time allowed. My guy and I started dating after knowing each 3-1/2 years; we've been together over 36 years now.
What I liked:
* The 3 main leads' acting.
* Ha Min was an interesting character and conflicted once his own feelings started to change.
* GL representation
* OST
What could've been changed: I wouldn't have minded if they had it one episode shorter and resolved the misunderstanding sooner.
