The Wedding Day (2025) is a romance fantasy miniseries with a mystery and revenge plot involved with Zhen Zi Qi (as Leng Wu Xin/Leng Si Nuan) and Yang Qi Ru (as Ye Yu Nuo) in the leading couple’s role. The drama seems choppy but it is part of the fantasy element on the story which is well done and builds up the storyline. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life with a special mention to the actress that portrayed the little girl. The lead couple has very good chemistry, great romance scenes, and even some humorous interactions. Overall, this drama is entertaining, enjoy it!
For the meantime, this drama can be found on YouTube under the caption: “On her wedding day, she fell into endless rebirths and found her fiancé cheating with her bestie.” or “# Zhen Ziqi# Yang Qiru🌟I almost died on my wedding day”

Fresh storyline with compelling characters and brilliant acting by Yang Qi Ru and Zhen Zi Qi

I miss Zhen Zi Qi and to my delight, found out about his new drama at reddit. I was ecstatic! This drama uses a time loop trope, which means a main character gets to reset and start a specific day again.

What I liked:
1. Writing - I was impressed by the plot twist and surprises. I couldn't predict where this drama was heading. Oh I also loved one line said by ML - it was about fashion trend. Very clever! I also liked the dialogue about how the choices we make. It's great that writers tried their best in giving arcs to most supporting characters.
2. FL characterisation - This drama is told from her perspective, which is fantastic. We got to see her made rash decisions and learned from them during the first few time loops. OMG, I didn't recognise Yang Qi Ru until I checked her MDL profile. I love My Lady General! She impressed me with her portrayal of a character who got life bombs dropped one after another.
3. ML characterisation - ML is out to seek justice for his parents. I enjoyed seeing the character growth and there were moments of vulnerability. It's great to see Zhen Zi Qi in this role because he's excellent in playing a man plagued by his family's past.
4. Romance - We already know that romance was bound to happen at the start because of Nannan. I liked how FL - ML romance developed - great pacing and believable considering ML's back story. They fell in love because of each other, not because they were following fate. Their intimate scene was beautifully shot as they exuded desire and passion.
5. Supporting characters - I love Nannan. The child actress who played it did a good job. I also liked FL's stepmom. I enjoyed antagonists' arcs as they were well fleshed out.
6. Styling - OMG, Zhen Zi Qi looked really fine with that long hair and rocker outfits. He gave me 'Sungjin of Korean band DAY6' vibe. Yang Qi Ru looked amazing in her outfits too. Her wedding dress is beautiful.

What I disliked:
1. Time loop - I didn't get the part in which the antagonist had & took advantage of the technology. I also thought the prison break scene did not make sense.
2. Ending - It is fine but I wish there were 2 or 3 additional episodes focusing on FL and ML's relationship as a couple.

Favourite scene
When ML taught FL a self-defense move

Complex Time Travel drama

I watched this last year because i really miss Zhen Ziqi works (he actually work from behind more than acting) and this drama was quite unconventional take from usual short drama story. Never watch Yang Qiru but her acting in this drama was quite good so this drama is not come to be wasted.

The plot is FL almost died on her wedding day. A stranger appeared with hatred, wanting to wipe out her entire family in one fell swoop. Time suddenly stopped. A little girl appears and claiming to be FL future daughter with her enemy ML at that time. FL collects different information at different points in time and pieces it together. FL repeatedly tugs at the hands of ML from different timelines until she matches him in his ideal state (this raises the question of whether he is still the same person). It involves time travel and time theory, mixed with some memory fragmentation.

Both the ML and FL parents are researchers working on time travel. Unfortunately, they are all killed by others. ML is adopted by his uncle, and the FL is adopted by an uncle in his family, but they are not told she is not their biological child.

Controlling the camera is quite difficult when filming time-travel dramas so i respect the production team and have lenient judgement. And i have a question when i watch this: If viewed as a single timeline, the plot structure is an infinite flow in terms of time or If viewed as multiple timelines, it's like you're torn into hundreds of parts. Each part retains your memories, and when retrieving those memories, it undergoes a second splitting and tearing (backup) until a perfect state is achieved.

Recommended if you like not so usual time travel drama.
