Intriguing new plot, sweet & satisfying slow-burn romance

(I rate vertical dramas on their own sliding scale.) Awesome fresh story! Plot set-up explained below. Fantastic acting, very interesting plot (haven't seen the exact same set-up anywhere else yet, 7/11/25), and fully emotionally satisfying romance (slow-burn). Great to see the leads as two smart characters working together in the lawyer profession. A healthy relationship with major green flag ML, good messages throughout (some I found quite quotable with a good translation), no unnecessary plot shenanigans (like kidnappings or assaults), and even the second leads are human- they are not all bad in the end. Some good cinematography too.

This is mostly explained at the very beginning so I don’t consider it a spoiler: There's a system that gathers emotions through people in this world and picks a rare number of people to be players. The system offers the players one wish granted if they complete their objective. The FL's quest is to get the SML to fall in love with her, but if she's fully rejected, she goes through death as her current alias and her quest re-boots. I loved that when the FL died after failing her target mission, she would come back and continue where she left off in age (didn't go back in time and start from the beginning); so the same body, but with a different name. And that her previous existences weren't erased or forgotten, just that people's memory of how she looked became too blurred for recognition. It allowed for an intriguing story to be woven. The story starts at her 5th failure. The system re-boots her quest, but this time she's unlocked the option to switch her target! So she gives up on the SML and chooses the ML (his friend) instead.

The FL starts pursuing the ML for her survival and end goal, but ends up truly falling for him. The two leads had great chemistry, seemed fully comfortable with each other, and played off of each other well. There aren't that many kisses, but they are meaningful, and realistic from both actors. There is a good amount of hugs and skinship, and multiple sweet moments. A satisfying ending too.

The screenplay and editing did a good job of giving enough information to understand the basics of situations and characters and then filled in the gaps at a good pace throughout the show with flashbacks and some exposition. Full understanding of everything and everyone is achieved by the end; I so appreciated that it didn’t feel like any threads were left hanging.

I found it posted at 2 hrs 50 mins run time (I shared the link in general comments). If you come across a post that is shorter by more than a couple minutes (I saw a few), it may have snippets missing. A little difference in time can be explained by how the recorder/poster edits between episodes (either lets the 1-3 second transitions play or cuts them out).

Edit 8/16/25: Now on iQIYI, with really good subtitles and info in parentheses! Makes things so much easier to understand! :D

Wow Amazing

I thought the story was very interesting and unique. A short Chinese drama that mostly tells the story of one-night stands and wealthy CEOs. Wang gege and Kaimu are extraordinary in their roles. Six strategies in winning a mission, which at first Wang gege was rejected outright and even humiliated. But finally he found his true love. The storyline goes back and forth, and is difficult to predict. Hmmm, there is a fairly intense scene when making love. Overall, it is good to watch again. AMAZING.

perfect

Really loved it (& i rarely give a 10/10, i gave Blue Whisper a 9.5)
it does NOT have any annoying toxic-ness other than the early seconds...(which is kind of needed for the plot to unfold)
its all green flag everywhere, all the positiveness kyaa >A<
good for people who like to watch some nice paced romance and WITHOUT all the crappy feels or feeling the hate for some character. and NOT boring or too slow at all, at least for me i find the pacing well made.
and its ending was so perfect it gave everyone the satisfying pink bubbles and butterflies. and GOSH how hard is it to get a perfectly good ending in any drama??? either u feel like dang, it's too short or dang it dragged out / BE or open end.

*spoilers below*
slow burn romance, there is a small misunderstanding here and there but nothing of the BIG annoying issue. there is no toxic character, everything solves smoothly and the story focus more on their romance and life more than any annoying extras side character or anything. The big reveal where she realized that how much he did for her was so sweet and the pacing was perfect. I couldn't skip anything (i sometimes do with short dramas like i skimped thru some)

The fl and the "crush" girl even had a honest to honest H2H talk. None of the rude crappy attitude. No annoying thick-face "ex-crush/lover" that persistently don't get a clue. After a few rejection, he regretted, but he let it go... he knows he did wrong and that he missed his chance.

The system was very sweet too it helped the FL & ML to get their perfect ending and even went against the rules. I SUPPORT THIS SYSTEM <3 . come on system deserved the 101% love. I really hate redo's that erases memory or timeline, and this ending i love it because they remember what they gone thru.. at least together.. and it just make it so sweet and perfect.

Rare case for decent mission drama without scumbag system.

I personally like Wang Gege comedic drama so this is one for me. Wang Kaimu has an eagle eye for choosing script in 2025.
Since its their first collaboration that has aired (actually its second time when they were shoot this but i consider this as first time), i expected both of them have a chemistry and it turns out i was right about that.

The Plot is about FL dies after failed on her fifth time mission to get SML fall in love with her. So she (and the system) change her target to ML aka SML uncle.

I quite like Wang Gege character growth from helpless NPC into hopeless strategic. Luckily the system was not too scumbag and give mercy to our main leads, unlike other mission drama. Wang Kaimu always nailed as CEO role so it's a piece of cake for him. For mission role drama, they successfully put the premise and conclusion without getting too many plot holes and make the viewer confused.

Recommended to watch.

Smart vertical drama w outstanding M/F leads

Wow! Loved this transmigration novel (into a game-like setting of a real world) which upends some tropes, with witty repartee between the leads, and an interesting world. The Female and Male lead actors are highly skilled so this makes this drama a cut above most verticals. The intriguing storyline and world concept, as well as the acting, makes the overall quality high, almost as good as a regular drama.

FL has a mission to make 2nd ML fall in love with her. After repeated mission attempts lead to failure (the 5th one resulting in her unaliving herself) she requests a change in the target. The new target though is having none of her nonsense! This results in several funny encounters where she tries all the drama tropes (FL "I was drugged! Help me!" ML "That isn't real" LOL). The teasing and much of the dialogue is very clever and enjoyable, unlike many verticals which seem to work from the same script (evil mom, evil stepsister, disengaged dad, CEO BF who is disguising his wealth).

This is a drama you need to let unfold. You can't rush it so just enjoy the M/F leads as they dance around, getting to know each other and become a couple (at the very end of the show). The ending (happy) is very sweet and makes you misty-eyed.

All the background and explanations are not told until the last couple of episodes which I think has lead to some being confused and abandoning the drama. So I marked this as a mild spoiler on how the world works.

From my understanding there is some entity (unknown) which reaches out to select people and lets them become strategists/players. These people are given a mission, and once completed will get a wish granted by the entity. While conducting the mission, if they die, they can reset, and return with a new identity. The regular people will not recognize them (think face blindness).

Our heroine wants to return to high school on a day that her mother was hit by a car (not killed, but severely injured, which puts her life into a downward spiral).

If you are willing to be drawn in to a more mature drama in both acting and plot, give this one a try!

I found it on IQ but only through the app (look at the tab for vertical shorts). If you try to find it via your TV it doesn't show up on search.

Recomiendo verla ^^
