An attempt to find new talent, not to make a good series.
Let's be realistic: This series (so far) has a very poor script, lackluster acting, uninspired protagonists, and supporting characters who make no difference to the story. They're only there to exist and steal screen time that could be used to deepen the story and add realism.Everything happens without the slightest attempt at explanation or even minimal realism. Two women join forces to start a company, and out of nowhere, several women appear begging to join? If a company is newly opened, the number of employees is very small, often limited to the founders and partners, as there aren't many clients and salaries are practically nonexistent; almost everything a company earns in the beginning goes back into its own investment. Not here, though. The company opens with only ONE CLIENT and almost 10 employees! I really want to know what the agreed-upon salary was, because the series simply doesn't show it; they just go to work, and that's it.
Furthermore, the sheer number of characters is clearly an attempt to find new talent, and I understand that, but couldn't they do that with a good story? Or with several good stories? It seems like they simply gathered several women who wanted to be actresses, created a nonsensical story, and put them in the cast.
The supporting characters have no purpose in this series; they were given some personality traits (at least that's good), but they weren't given an interesting, in-depth storyline. They just threw them into the series and that's it, so we can't get attached to them.
Besides what's already been said, there are many outdated stereotypes in the series that it doesn't help to break down. Instead, it reinforces them. An example of this is the classic "ugly girl transformed into a pretty girl." I know beauty is subjective, but if we're talking about beauty according to what society dictates, that girl was completely within the beauty standards! Let's see: They took a girl and told us she was ugly and that she was bullied because of it, so I thought, "They're going to talk to the girl to make her feel confident the way she is, right? Because half of someone's beauty comes from their confidence, not from aesthetics themselves," but no! They were wrong twice! First, why, instead of trying to make her ugly (according to society's standards of what is ugly or not), could they have given her crooked and rotten teeth, warts on her face, giant eyebrows, horrible hair, skin blemishes, etc.? But no, they simply put normal glasses on her with thick black frames and braided her hair in two braids without combing it first. That's it! Seriously, I expected much more. During the transformation, I thought, "Well, since she's not ugly, maybe they'll put colored contact lenses in her eyes, dye and cut her hair, maybe even curl it to make a big difference..." No. They just combed her hair and took off her glasses. I hope the service was cheap.
NOTE: Englot is a very famous duo, but it's a fact that they make very bad series together; this is already their 4th GL and only Petricor manages to avoid being a complete failure.

Funny, Messy, and Not That Deep
I agree with some reviews saying that this feels like an attempt to find a new couple that will click with viewers. As a comedy, it’s not bad—if you’re just looking for a good laugh, this might work for you. But if you’re expecting drama or something more serious, this isn’t the series to watch. Because of that, I don’t think it deserves an extremely low rating just for lacking a strong story foundation. That said, it’s so funny that it becomes embarrassing at times—I honestly felt secondhand embarrassment for the actors. There are also a lot of characters, which made the viewing experience overstimulating.
The story itself isn’t complicated, but the characters are. There are so many of them that it’s easy to feel lost. Thankfully, each character at least has their own personality, which helped make them feel distinct.
Overall, the series really just goes with the flow. There’s not much to think about—it feels like the actors weren’t trying to deeply portray their characters and were instead just following the comedy without caring how ridiculous it looked, which honestly seems intentional.

Slow Start...Ended Better Than Predicted
For me, this series was just middle-of-the-road. I was happy for another Englot Series, but having them star in Unlimited Love was not enough. The beginning of Unlimited Love was very slow in terms of character and relationship building among the main ensemble cast. A lot of the show's bandwidth is devoted to the episodic elements of Unlimited Love. On top of that, the early story messaging was very superficial, which was distracting and problematic. While I believe every story has a right to be told, I thought we were beyond these kinds of surface-level stories in 2025.
But the series was not all bad. The last couple of episodes of Unlimited Love gave us what they should have from the start. It was hilarious, and the pairings all finally took steps in their relationships. This was nice to see, as I do believe MGI did an excellent job chemistry-wise with all the couples, and I wish we had the chance to see more of their relationship dynamics. I hope MGI gives them more opportunities to shine as pairings outside of an ensemble cast.
All in all, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.

Well what I can say?I enjoyed
I watch this show for the excitement that finally engfa and Charlotte is acting in a series and also due to the title I think it's like sitcom romance or unlimited love means maybe more love scenes for diff couples but there is no rom scenes at all until the last ep last scene, all I can say i watched it and I don't judge it and I also don't know what the story plot is because too much plots and some flaws like subs not placed in the right place make it hard to understand their words as a foreigner , well I think I like the new way of romcom or sitcom series everyway... So watch it in your way, as a gl fan this is to me like going to watch like cheese sisters but the plot it's just romantic substext in a comedic way. I think maybe this story is based of a webtoon so i don't know about that part that's why the story feels a little off to me but i enjoyed itWas this review helpful to you?
A Promising Start That Collapses Into Narrative Chaos
Unlimited Love is, unfortunately, one of the most disappointing GL series in recent memory—if it can even be categorized as a GL at all. The first two episodes offered a glimmer of hope, hinting at emotional depth and a focused central relationship. That promise quickly evaporates. After the initial setup, the series completely loses sight of its main characters, giving them shockingly little screen time while the plot drifts aimlessly. Instead of developing the core romance, the show repeatedly introduces new characters and wastes time on unnecessary side quests, making the narrative increasingly convoluted and unfocused. At its worst, the series devotes absurd amounts of screen time—nearly ten minutes—to characters figuring out how to play a dog, while the supposed leads are sidelined. The final insult comes in the last 30 seconds, where the main couple suddenly kisses with no emotional buildup or payoff. While it’s painfully obvious that Englot was used primarily as a marketing hook, that knowledge doesn’t make the ending feel any less hollow. What could have been a meaningful GL story instead feels like a slap in the face to viewers who stayed hopeful until the end.Was this review helpful to you?
Not great!
I’m not really sure what Unlimited Love is trying to be, but it doesn’t work. The characters feel shallow, and both the plot and the dialogue are often awkward. The series seems to rely more on the popularity of the GL genre and Englot’s fanbase than on any real substance. Unfortunately, it doesn’t impress – though it’s always fun to see Englot. Was this review helpful to you?
englot
Englot here is very wholesome...this gl series seems to be experimenting too much with casting, they focus on the new artist. seems like the Miss Grand pageant is only looking for the one who fits the role for the next GL series. and for the next englot. But do understand that they are helping the new artist to grow, and Englot is now matured, and they are only supporting in this series. Was this review helpful to you?
A waste of time and tallent.
Unlimited love is another case of a company trading on star power and not bothering with substance.I had hope for Unlimited Love because I enjoyed Engfa and Charlotte in Show Me Love and Petrichor.
Show Me Love was a fun romantic comedy where I found the characters interesting and engaging. It was an amusing diversion if not a cinematic masterpiece. Petrichor was excellent. It had a good plot with plenty of twists and turns to keep me engaged. I found I genuinely cared about many of the characters, not just the main couple. So we have proof of what Englot can do with good stories and direction. Sadly Unlimited Love was very limited by bad writing and bad directing.
I really enjoy excellent sapphic romance, but I don’t demand that every story is amazing. It needs to have a happy ending and I need to care about the main characters. I also prefer they avoid the terrible tropes that plague queer fiction.
I found myself four episodes in and still not caring about any of the characters. I couldn’t find any threads of a plot. There was nothing at all to hang on to, and I’ve slogged through some truly bad sapphic content. While I have no doubt there will be people who enjoy this, I don’t understand who the target audience is and I’m certainly not it.
Unlimited Love failed to meet my bare minimum to keep watching. I’ve seen a few comments saying the last couple of episodes were better, and maybe if there is nothing better to watch someday when I’m stuck in a waiting room or airport terminal, but I doubt it. MGI put in almost no effort and the product isn’t even worth a few hours of my time while I drink my coffee. Other companies are putting out quality work, if you want to get viewers you need more than beautiful women and a few kisses.
