Fully Charged

The chemistry alone deserves a 100/10. It felt like watching two real people fall/be in love and we get to laugh, swoon and be happy alongside them. Kim YoungKwang and Chae Soobin absolutely nailed it in, they were the heart and soul of the drama. It wouldn’t have been the same without them. The CHEMISTRY was wow 🤯, honestly the most natural/ genuine that I’ve seen in any kdrama (top 5 for me). They portrayed all the emotions so well especially the tension filled ones. It would be a crime if we don’t get them in another drama. The storyline isn’t ’original’ but it’s not what I’m signing up for when I watch this. It’s fun and can be rewatched an endless amount of them. There’s so many bad things in the world but watching the drama helped me forget them and I felt fully immersed in their world and was rooting for their happy ending. The best rom com drama that I’ve watched. Typically I think less is more but in this case I could have watched 50 more episodes of them happily living their lives.

Well, But...

The story was average, which is understandable since the writer is a rookie and this is her debut. The plot had potential, but the execution could have been stronger, with some parts feeling predictable and shallow. However, the drama still had its charming moments, and the characters made it worth watching. Considering that this is the writer’s first work, there is definitely room for improvement and growth. Overall, it was an okay watch—not particularly outstanding, but not a complete disappointment either. Hopefully, the writer will come back with a stronger and more engaging story in the future.

10/10 — The chemistry really was electric! ❤️⚡

I absolutely loved Take Charge of My Heart. It had the romance, humour, sweetness and emotional moments that make me fall in love with a drama. The premise is unusual, but that was part of its charm. Sometimes you just want to enjoy a love story that makes you smile, gives you butterflies and lets you become completely invested in the couple, and this drama delivered all of that for me.

Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin were such a wonderful pairing. Their chemistry was easily the strongest part of the drama. The playful scenes were genuinely funny, the romantic moments were incredibly sweet, and the emotional scenes had enough weight to make me care about what happened to them. I loved watching their relationship slowly change from something based on necessity into something sincere and deeply emotional.

The central concept was also surprisingly touching. The female lead struggles with physical contact, while the male lead literally depends on her touch to keep his artificial heart functioning. It sounds ridiculous when explained out loud, but the drama made the idea work because it used the fantasy premise to explore loneliness, fear, trust and intimacy. Their relationship was not just about keeping him alive physically; they also helped each other feel emotionally alive again.

I loved how their connection developed gradually. At first, there was awkwardness, confusion and plenty of funny misunderstandings. She was understandably uncomfortable with the situation, and he could be frustratingly secretive, but their interactions slowly became more natural. The moments when she began to trust him and allow herself to be close to him were especially meaningful because they showed how much she had changed. Likewise, he stopped treating her as merely someone who could help him survive and began to genuinely care about her feelings.

The romance gave me everything I wanted. There were cute moments, emotional confessions, jealousy, misunderstandings, longing and plenty of scenes where I was practically screaming at the screen for them to communicate properly. Their relationship had a lovely balance of comedy and tenderness, and even when the plot became dramatic, I still wanted to see them find their way back to each other.

That said, I definitely had characters I hated. Some of the people around the leads were unbelievably frustrating, especially whenever they interfered with the couple or treated their relationship like something they could manipulate. I wanted to yell at the screen during several scenes because the unnecessary lies and schemes created problems that could have been avoided if anyone had simply told the truth. The villains and antagonistic characters were effective because they made me angry, but there were moments when I wanted the leads to stop being so patient and finally confront them properly.

I was also frustrated by how often the characters kept secrets “for the other person’s sake.” I understand why dramas use that trope, but it still made me want to shake them. So many misunderstandings could have been resolved with one honest conversation. There were times when I was completely on the couple’s side but annoyed that they kept allowing other people to influence their decisions. Still, the emotional payoff was worth it because their struggles made their eventual honesty and commitment feel more satisfying.

The drama also did a good job of making the heart condition feel connected to the emotional story rather than using it only as a gimmick. The artificial heart represented the male lead’s vulnerability, but it also reflected how guarded and emotionally isolated he had become. He was surviving, but he was not truly living. The female lead’s presence gradually gave him a reason to open up, take risks and believe that he could have a future beyond simply managing his condition.

I also appreciated the female lead because she was not reduced to someone who existed only to save the male lead. She had her own fears, boundaries and emotional wounds. Her difficulty with physical contact was treated as something important, not just as a quirky obstacle for the romance. Watching her slowly become more comfortable with him made the relationship feel earned. He did not magically fix her, and she did not magically fix him; instead, they learned how to understand and support each other.

The emotional scenes worked particularly well because the drama had already established how much the characters meant to each other. When they were separated, lied to or placed in danger, I genuinely felt anxious for them. I wanted them to be happy, but I also wanted them to stop making life harder for themselves. Their love story was sweet, dramatic and occasionally infuriating in the best possible way.

For me, a 10/10 is about how a drama makes me feel, and Take Charge of My Heart made me happy, emotional, frustrated and completely invested. I laughed at the ridiculous situations, melted over the romantic scenes, got angry at the characters who caused unnecessary trouble and cried when the leads were forced to confront the possibility of losing each other.

The drama may not be perfect, and some of the plot twists and misunderstandings were definitely dramatic, but I did not watch it expecting realism. I watched it for the fantasy romance, the unusual premise, the emotional chemistry and the feeling of rooting for two people who desperately needed each other. It gave me a couple I cared about, a story that kept me entertained and enough emotional moments to make the journey worthwhile.

The ending was especially satisfying because it gave the leads the happiness and security they had fought so hard to achieve. After everything they went through, I needed them to choose each other openly and without secrets. Their relationship felt stronger because they had faced the truth, overcome the people trying to separate them and learned that love could not survive on fear and half-truths alone.

Overall, Take Charge of My Heart was a beautiful, funny and emotional fantasy romance with a memorable central couple. Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin carried the drama with their chemistry, and their performances made even the more exaggerated parts feel heartfelt. I loved the romance, enjoyed the comedy, hated several of the characters with my entire soul and became completely attached to the story.

If you enjoy fantasy romance, unusual medical or sci-fi premises, slow-burn chemistry, emotional vulnerability and couples who make you want to scream at them while still rooting for them, give this drama a chance. It may be dramatic and occasionally frustrating, but it has plenty of heart—and for me, that makes it an easy 10/10. ❤️

Best Drama I've Watched In A Hot Minute

This drama was well made and so fun to watch. The comedic timing on the actors were awesome. The female lead knew what she stood for despite her insecurities about her power. The male lead seemed like a tsundere at first, but not for very long. Fun drama, without any major misunderstandings between the leads.

A charming, lovely rom com done well

Things I adored

1 The FL. This was the first drama I watched with her and I loved her. She's a great actress and she made me not only care for her, but also laugh, cry, yell. No matter what kind of scene she played she made feel what she felt. I also loved her hair, and her chemistry with the ML. Her relationship with her brother and her sister was also perfect. The best actress for the role. I can't imagine many would play the part so well. Her character was great but also the actress, so the combination made me love everything about her.

2 The ML. I wasn't one of those who checked his previous dramas so I was sure I wouldn't like him at first. He's not my ideal man and I thought he would be wooden for some reason. I was so so wrong. He played his part to perfection. Just his smile and his vulnerability made me fall for him. There was something n the way he played that moved me, touched me more than I thought it would and that's rare for a rom com to move me like this. Kudos to him and 'm looking on his other dramas now.

3 The relationship between them. From the first misunderstandings to their living together and falling in love, it was done great. They conveyed the right feelings. they were fun, romantic, jealous, all you need in a romantic comedy. It's been a while I loved both leads so much. I'm always disappointed by something when it's a rom com. Here they did the tropes just right.

4 The kisses, the touches, the jealousy, the caring, the doubts. Everything was well done and not on your face. They should do another rom com together.

The things I loved

1 The 2ML. He was a great second lead. I watch him in parallel in another drama where he's also 2nd lead and I find his character similar in a way, although I can't seem to care enough to finish the other drama whilst I finished this in three days. He's not at all someone I would call handsome, yet he made me care about him and I was sad that he had to give up on her. He did the right thing, his character was great, and that's why I was sad. Great job from the actor, even though, I'll be honest, I don't see him in a lead role for some reason.

2 Her family. Her brother and her sister, but her parents as well, even though they had a small part. Such great characters and it warmed my heart to see their relationship. How they protected her and never judged her. Great job from everyone. I even wish I could see them more.

3 The ML assistant. I will admit, I thought sometimes that he was the bad guy. I'm glad he wasn't. He played the role with some ambiguity and his face, his expression helped, but at the end of the day he was someone who cared about the ML and that also added to my pleasure watching the series.

4 The plot. When I first read about it, I thought: Great, another rom com I'll abandon after one episode. I don't care about this kind of plot normally. I prefer real situations where there isn't an element or supernatural or something out of the ordinary, although I've see quite a few. But it was so well done that I came to care about his heart and her power, and pan intended, their chemistry was so electric, the plot didn't bother me at all.

The things I disliked

1 The outfits of the ML. I see that many praise them and yes, there were sometimes he was dressed well. I decided to mention this in my list though because I'm fed up with the way these men dress. Don't they have a mirror? Why on earth unless for a special occasion you'd wear such unfitted clothes. The ML here had some truly unfortunate outfits and I wonder if they don't have a say or if more men in China have bad taste in clothes. I'm all for individuality and you can wear a sac of potatoes if you want, but when I watch a drama I watch to get inspired and enjoy things, not to see people wear awful things without make any statement. Wear these kind of outfits in your personal life if it's your cup of tea. Rant over and it was slightly for the Ml and more for the whole industry. Also, there are some dramas where the leads are perfectly styled and yes, it enhances my enjoyment.

2 That it was only 10 episodes. I would watch the double just to see them together. They were so cute and adorable both. Their chemistry was exceptional.

3 The grandmother. I think the actress was too stiff and she didn't embrace the role. I'm not even sure what was the point of her being like this. I think she is the character I didn't find essential. She wasn't a good grandmother if you ask me, and although I hated her daughter, I also understand why she'd have such a bad relationship with her mother. Plus, she never redeemed herself in my eyes. But it's the actress that bothered me more. I've seen her in other dramas, she's not great, but here she was particularly bad.

The things I hated

1 Han Seol Hui. What a vile and stupid person. I can't fathom that someone could be that awful, yet here we are and even though I don't want to cross that kind of person, they exist in real life. Did she play well her role? Probably since I hated her, but to be honest I didn't like the actress for some reason. It's not only about the role. I just didn't click with her.

2 Do Yun. If I hated the 2FL a bit, I wished for him to go to hell a million times. It's crazy that someone can have such hate in his heart and not being able to see his shortcomings. I'll say the same thing, he's done well since I hated him, but I won't. The actor wasn't good, he was rather bad actually. I didn't buy his evil persona and sometimes I wanted to laugh at him and hiss schemes. To play well an evil character you need some charisma and he had the charisma of a wall painted beige.

3 The parents of the 2ML. What stupid characters. They deserved everything it came their way. They should have paid much more. There was no excuse about their pathetic behavior. Greedy, malevolent people who only care about themselves.

Definitely a drama I’ll be recommending! ✨

A true feel-good drama from beginning to end! 🥹✨ I genuinely loved every single episode from 1 to 10. This drama was so funny, heartwarming and entertaining that watching it was an absolute joy. It made me laugh so many times and even though there were a few more serious moments, the overall vibe was just so comforting and lovely.

And can we talk about the chemistry between the two main leads?! Because WOW. No joke, their chemistry was absolutely palpable. Every interaction between them was such a joy to watch and they made this drama even more special. 🫶🏻

I also have to mention the second male lead because I genuinely felt for him. 🥲 After seeing him in another drama where he was also the second lead, I really hope he gets all the love he deserves as a main male lead. I’m already looking forward to his next drama and can’t wait to see him finally take center stage! 🤍

All in all, this drama was everything I wanted it to be and more. Funny, heartwarming, full of chemistry and just the perfect little comfort watch. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more! 💗

OMGG FINALLY A ROM COM WITH ACTUAL HUMOUR

I was recently thinking how I haven't had a good laugh watching some of the latest dramas of 2026 and how I used to binge the old ones and now finally after alot of time this series gave me a purpose. ITS A MUST WATCH. I gotta say I love the comedy and the acting of all the casts and the story is somewhat different/new from your everyday kdramas. both the leads are fresh and hilarious. gonna rewatch it 100%. I really liked how it wasn't dry or boring since the first episode and how both the leads had an insane chemistry. after watching so many slop kdramas of 2026 I must say this felt like a cold breeze in a sunny afternoon.

OG Kdrama plot is back!!

Its been a while since I have watched kdrama that have this kind of plot. I really miss it and it is really refreshing to watch this type of kdrama. These days, kdrama plots have been either truly gruesome, very heavy, and intense. If the kdrama is light, the script, the flow, and the story isn't interesting, even if the acting of the casts is really good.

However, I really love this kdrama. First of all, the main leads are really good at acting. They are one of the actors and actresses who I really like in kdrama industry. Young kwang is really good at acting. He can capture subtle emotions through his expressions. I have also liked Chae Soobin's works. She is really good at picking kdramas. She is really good at acting and she is very pretty T-T. When I heard that they have drama together, I was really excited and they did not disappoint!!!

For the plot, it was interesting. Well, it is really cliche but that is what makes it interesting. It is cliche yet refreshing. Most stories always involve a chaebol, but in here, the male lead's character is a very different chaebol. You can tell that he is a chaebol who deserves to be a chaebol. He works hard and he thinks smartly. He is not some spoiled chaebol who gets everything easily. That is what makes him interesting. The female lead too is cute. I really like her personality. She is not easy and she is not too kind. She knows herself well even though she is hurt by her power. It was a good thing that she has people by her side. Both the male and female lead's character really fit for each other. Both of them are really cute!!!

The cinematography and the way the flow is done are good too. The styling too especially the male lead is so good. Overall, I really love it. I really love fluffy, light, and interesting kdramas like this. If you like this type of romance, then you would definitely like it. Just one thing that I was disappointed ( a little) was I really loved it when chae soobin's hair is straight!!! I would love to see the male lead's expression when he will see her with that chaebol girl fit (same as her fits in When The Phone Rings). She is very pretty!!!

A cute drama that deserved a few more eps.

I really enjoyed watching this drama, it's lighthearted and fun.

Bobae and Horang's dynamics were so cute right from the start, even with all the misunderstandings (aka Horang thinking she was flirting with him) and his grumpy attitude too hehe.

But to be honest, i would've loved to see a bit more of Bobae's family dynamics, especially a genuine interaction between her and her brother when she lost her powers, since he seemed to be the closest to her and the absolute cutest.

Also, i'm so tired of dramas having so few eps!!! I feel like 10 eps just weren't enough, and you could really tell in the finale, it felt a bit abrupt.
Because yeah, Doyoon lost everything, Horang goes back to the company as the heir... but what actually happened? From the very beginning, they made it seem like secretary Yoon was playing both sides and couldn't be trusted... but what happened with that????

I really wish we had gotten a bit more development at the end, but even with all of that it was still a really sweet drama:)

---- The main cast was completely incredible, Soo bin was flawless as always!! and Minho's appearance was a 10/10 didn't know i needed to see them reunited again:((
and please, it's high time they stop giving Woo min second lead roles.

The Rom-Com Chemistry So Electric, It Pulled Me Out of My K-Drama Slump

This drama is proof that a story doesn’t need a complicated plot to be entertaining. The whole concept of the FL having electric powers sounds ridiculous on paper, but somehow, it works! The storyline is straightforward, the pacing is good, and the characters are quirky in the best way possible.

But let’s be real, THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE LEADS IS WHAT MADE THIS DRAMA SO GOOD. Chae Soobin and Kim Young-kwang absolutely delivered! I’m a sucker for enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity, and this drama gave me exactly what I wanted. These tropes may be cliché, but the execution made them so enjoyable. Their interactions were so fun to watch, and there were countless moments that had me kicking my feet and giggling like an idiot. Even the scenes that could have easily been cringey somehow worked without making me cringe. 😭

I also loved the supporting characters, especially Mr. Yoon and Na Bobae’s siblings, actually Na Bobae’s family. I just hoped we had more episodes with her family because they are so fun to watch

I honestly couldn’t stop watching this drama, and here I am rewatching it because apparently, I’m not ready to move on yet. It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a romcom this much. There’s something so refreshing about a drama that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still manages to make you genuinely invested in the characters and their relationships.

Sometimes, I just want a fun, slightly ridiculous love story with quirky characters, great chemistry, and enough romantic moments to make me swoon without unnecessary complications or over-the-top drama. And this drama delivered exactly that.

Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soobin, I NEED MORE ROMCOMS FROM YOU TWO. Their chemistry was everything, and I hope we get more dramas like this that remind us how enjoyable a simple, well-executed romcom can be.

Even the Long Litany of "serial killers & villians" in this series couldn't make it interesting.

Haha. This series had so many actors that usually play serial killers or villains it kind of made me wonder if the producers purposely cast these actors because of the roles they usually play. That said, though I’ve only seen the lead actor in roles where he’s a psycho, I thought he was really good in this. In the few episodes I watched I thought he did an excellent job playing a romantic lead - Very good actor. However, the casting was all wrong for this series. Both the leads probably could've worked in this show if a different actor or actress was cast to play their love interest. Unfortunately, KYK and CSB were cast to play each other's love interests and it just didn't work. They had no chemistry, and he looked way too old for her. Really the age gap would not have been an issue if they actually had spark but they didn't.

Honestly I don't care how much Baek Ho-rang (the ML character) eventually found the FL appealing and subsequently, fell in love with her. It just wasn’t believable that they would ever work because their lives and personalities were too different. Their only connection was his heart issue and her ability to "charge" him up. Other than that there was nothing between them.

I actually thought she had spark with the SML. They made way more sense - their lives and personalities matched,. They appeared to be around the same age. They looked really good together and their interactions had so much potential.

I really wanted to like this because I like nearly all the actors who were cast, especially the leads and some of the actors who played supporting characters. But with the leads not having chemistry and the story being boring, it just couldn't hold my interest.
