Strong and Calculating FL with very Handsome ML
Even though the story is already common and has many versions still the handsome ML attracted me to watch this one. The ML is so handsome with refreshing looks.The FL is strong-willed and very intelligent. She didn't let herself be tortured or manipulated by the scheming enemies but she too is calculating and very good in planning strategies to counteract. Very admirable figure.
The ML is so intelligent also and very faithful to the FL even though on many occasions his love seems to be one sided. It's a pity that they don't have much romantic scenes at the end. They deserve to be seen so happy together.
The two lead characters have acted well their parts as well as the 2ML.

Quite decent drama.
I watched this because of Hou Cheng Yue and have nothing to watch and realized the ML was Li Ruoxun. Speaking of ML character, he's really green tea-faced, competitive, and manipulative guy. He's quite interesting. He starts by boasting to the FL, calls her brother "brother," and acts all cute and pitiful. FL is brave and resourceful, a true general, and should go to the vast land to conquer and realize her ambitions For the romance chemistry, i feel they are kind lack on that think but i quite like other playful dynamic from the leads.There's no reincarnation or time travel thing, be assured. The main plot of this drama is FL abandons the SML, and the SML and his mother reap what they sow. FL mistakes her savior for someone else, falls in love with the SML, and plans everything for him. The arrival of SFL leads FL to abandon SML. ML returns and proposes to FL, but she never agrees. In the finale, she only accepts ML. FL lets go very decisively, but SML keeps pestering her with his inexplicable confidence, while the ML keeps proposing to her, which she always refuses, finally accepting him in the end.
Worth watching if you're looking for something to watch.

Toxic relationship v Understanding relationship + a side of a weak king
I didnt realize why I knew the plot until the hunt scene and then i remembered i had watched it before. The bear outfits on people was so bad it was comical. Verbal abuse is still abuse his desert rose was just verbally abusive to him and he was physically abusive to her. (Amber and Johnny Depp anyone?) It also had me thinking about feminists and the original movement and what it morphed into. The original movement was supposed to be women supporting other women no matter what they chose: career, domestication, or whatever they wanted without the oppressive weight of society to do or be any one specific thing. In the 21st century we have become our own aggressors against ourselves. The glass ceiling we wanted to break – did we really break it or did we just put more people on top of it? I enjoy watching dramas by this FL because she tends to choose stronger more female-positive friendly roles. I like that she didnt settle for either prince and never apologized for waiting until the prince suffered what he put her brother through. I like that her prince met her on her level and that the two (presumably) live their life-long goals of bloodshed, conquering, and defending. (Again, not what i would plan to do with my life but hey girl you do you.)Was this review helpful to you?
