Both are cultural slice of life dramas that showcase local culture and talk about preserving the intangible cultural heritage of the respective places. While Bloom Life is set in Kashgar of Southern Xingjian, The Depths of Wumeng is set in Guizhou. Both shows also showcase lives of different people living in the respective places.
The English tittle finally changed to Tales of Wumeng. Also based in reality, but in this case about the rural development and cultural revitalization of the Miao Groups.
