The Virtuous Queen of Han Episode 29

A drought befalls the kingdom. The people accuse Zifu of being a harbinger of disaster, as the drought occurs just after her coronation. Duan Hong, Wei Qing and Yihan work to find a new water source to alleviate the people’s suffering. Before they succeed, Liu An the King of Huainan enters the city and seemingly draws water out of a dry well. Liu Che suspects Liu An of manipulating public sentiment. Liu An proposes a rain ceremony and asks Zifu to leave the palace, to which she agrees for the sake of the people. She departs to Pingyang Mansion, hoping to take the opportunity to resolve her misunderstanding with Princess Pingyang. A heavy storm approaches just before the rain ceremony. Liu An stirs up a conspiracy that the rains have returned with Zifu’s absence. Zifu arrives in time to refute his conspiracy. (Source: Viu)
