Princess Pingyang and Wei Qing travel around after their marriage, and experience the happiness of being in love. When they return to the city, they hear rumours of Zifu wanting to harm Consort Li’s fetus. Princess Pingyang warns Consort Li not to cause trouble. Wei Qing and Princess Pingyang are attacked when they are out planting trees. During this time, Zifu receives false news of the ruin of her mother’s tomb and leaves with Duan Hong. Although worried and suspicious, Liu Che assures Wei Qing that she will be back soon. Wei Qing asks for Liu Che’s word to always keep Zifu safe, and says his goodbyes to Princess Pingyang.
