Sometimes Love Finds You… But Only If You Step Outside
From the very beginning, Han Ji-won gave off shy, introverted loner vibes — the kind of person who hides a lot but still carries warmth. It’s funny how he just flagged down a random driver to take him homr — it shows how free-spirited and impulsive he is when it comes to small things, even though emotionally, he’s guarded.I feel like his character silently carries past trauma or fears, and doesn’t want people to know he’s struggling. But still, this drama teaches us something simple and real:
> Sometimes, you have to step out of your comfort zone and go outside to meet people. The world won't always come to you — you have to go to it.
And thank God he did. Because that’s how he met Kwon Jung-woo.

💕 Kwon Jung-woo & Fast Love
Honestly? It was crazy how fast Jung-woo fell for Ji-won — but that’s also the beauty of the drama. Sometimes, love doesn’t take long. Sometimes it just happens, fast and unexpected. His character reminded me how quickly we can fall — especially when someone respects you, sees you, and makes you feel safe.

🎾 Themes I Loved
The sports element made it refreshing and lighthearted at times.
The drama also touched on how society pressures people to hide, especially when it comes to love and identity.
It showed that even when it’s hard, when you push through, honesty and love can win.
And when they finally told their friends about dating? That part melted my heart 💗 It was so soft and pure.

💬 Final Thoughts
This isn’t just a BL about tennis or flirting — it’s about stepping out, healing, trusting, and finding someone who brings you peace. It’s a feel-good drama that still hits emotionally.
I really, really loved it. And I’m happy I watched it.

Jiwon is my favourite character, someone who struggle to express himself at times also someone who cares about other's opinion due to him being famous gymnast but truly cared for Junwoo in his own ways. He made me cry when he cried.
Jungwoo might seem scary to others but he is a total softie around the ones who truly know him. The one who isn't scared to say what he wants.
I actually liked the pacing of it.

I wish we got moooore.
Honestly, I liked this one a lot except for two things: Jiwon causing so much hurt and how short the series was. The chemistry between the two male leads was sooooo good. I legit loved their chemistry. It felt natural and realistic, which as we all know is hard to find in most BLs. I can usually turn a blind eye to that awkwardness but I didn't need to with this series.I devoured this one in a day with lots of breaks, because life. I just couldn't quit watching it.
That one NC scene was done SO WELL. Passionate and natural, once again. I saw goosebumps on Jiwon, like WHAT!!! Obsessed with that.

Great kissing
The plot in this BL moves at a good, fast pace. The kissing scenes are really good. Not much else to say to be honest. This BL does not seem to have much of a story other than the two guys being into each other and being in university. They could have done more spicy scenes as the height difference is strong and could have made the BL stand out a lot from others. I recommend this a watch. Was this review helpful to you?
A refreshing view of athletic love
What I love about this show is the lack of unnecessary distractions or twists or surprises. I mean it’s predictable that’s true but how the story was told was truly refreshing and clean. Demonstrating the agony of how athletes or even famous people struggles with dealing with taboo love even in the modern world we live in. The acting was simple and real as if they were just ordinary folks like us dealing with our problems. You want to root for them as we watch their love grows. Their love making scene was so beautiful focusing on the kiss and allowing their sensations to magnify. It’s definitely a feel good series and kudos to the Koreans for gradually opening up more to same sex relationships. Should we get a part two, personally I don’t need the drama that follows and leave things as they are.Was this review helpful to you?
BL? This is hard-core Romance
This was damn good. Initially I found myself getting bored because this felt like another young, shy, puppy type guy falling for a tall, cold, athletic hunky. But then, we see the athletic hunk making all the moves towards the introverted shy guy and his resistance, boy was that resistance so sexy, heated and intense. Which shows. In those kisses. Nothing more electrifying than those passionate kisses, THAI BLs please take notes, you don't need to see the couple having sex, just something simple like a kiss is magical if the chemistry is chemistrifying.Simple plot, doesn't meander, excellent chemistry, KBL magic. Hoped for a longer series because the side couple was interesting as well but their story wasn't fleshed out. Alas, perhaps a spin-off is in works??

exceeded expectations
with a plot much deeper than the usual college romance it was refreshing to see serious subjects touched upon. This could have been a much longer drama with more said about abuse of youngsters in sport and the impact it can have. Although the fear of a gay relationship affecting career prospects was dealt with better. That said the acting drew me in and then the plot. I watched all 8 episodes in one sitting as I sat waiting anxiously for the relationship to work out. All of the 4 main actors did an excellent job and I would watch other work based on that. I hope we get a follow up for the second couple, they would be so adorable. Was this review helpful to you?
Cute, Curious and Common!
This series was actually cute - just cute. The cast were cute and their characters were curious - typical story. There no catch just cute little story.I didn't expect much that's why I am not that disappointed. Though the story was okay but there were lapses like how they combine the story is a little bit rush and focused much on how thu develop the story.
The conflicts are there but not highlighted much. There's potential on those conflicts - the issue and the sleep talking. They can elaborate that to strengthen their relationship hut the story decided to keep it cute, fun and loving story.
In reality, not everyone can experience that kind of love story. I hope they were able to highlight those conflicts and build the story more. That's why its more on cute, curious and common for me.

Everyone deserves a Jeongwu
I don’t know what they put in KBL’s but I literally flew through this drama in a day. Now to be fair it is short, only 8 25min episodes but still I was sucked in!Literally from the first episode I fell in love with Jeongwu and Jiwon, Jiwon is so shy and cute and Jeongwu is the perfect reassurance he needed. The chemistry between these 2 was UNREAL!! I am all about chemistry and they knocked its out of the park, the tension, the yearning. Ugh it was so perfect!! This is definitely going to be a drama on a high rewatch rotation for me (but don’t mind me as I skip ep 7).
I think for the little amount of episodes and how short they were this drama really nailed it, there were definitely it’s fair share of plot holes (Jiwon’s past, his family etc.) and I felt in the first few episodes it jumped around a bit where I got confused but it didn’t take away from the story, at least for me.
I do have to mention the “side couple” input that in quotations because there’s only hints throughout the series but nothing actually comes to me for them (unfortunately). Unless we’re getting a season 2?? Which I would be all for of course lol. I absolutely loved Seungjin, he was the perfect comedic relief and truly I love a yapper and he delivered that perfectly.
Overall, I highly recommend this drama!! If you love yearning, chemistry and minimal conflict it’s a perfect watch for you.

One of the cutest BL
Love love LOOVED Ball Boy Tactics. I won't lie, the story felt incomplete, mainly due to second leads not getting their happy ending, however it's hinted at it, so I'm happy enough.Aside from that, the main couple was insanely cute. I find it hard to find BLs that don't make me cringe or feel flat out rapey.
I feel although the main characters had a complicated situation they did everything right, portrayed a healthy relationship and alas, had a happy ending.
P.S anyone who didn't feel like watching this only because it's basketball themed, don't worry, the topics not THAT important in the drama.

brought me to tears ?
Most of the whole series was light and fluffy and sweet but the last two episodes especially the last one had me in tears, and the last one so poetic. I do think though that they could've contained the story a bit more and made like two more episodes wrapping it all up. And their were sometimes where I felt their was a bit of a hole in the timeline BUT I still really enjoyed this series and would recommend it!Was this review helpful to you?
Not bad
I have a problem with KBLs, scenes tend to be moving so slowly, if you watch in 2X you won't miss a thing, even if you -like me- depends on listening and not subtitles.Stories however, are very simple and fun to watch, and they are getting better.
This one check the boxes!
Story is a simple campus romance, i like how they adressed the sexuality, without adding the "I'm only gay for you" sh!t, nor any homophobic comments.
Two people, fell in love, found out it was reciprocated then get together, add some issues here and there for the drama, solve the issues, the end.
Acting is nice, chemistry is good too, i wanted to see more of the two friends (side couple if i can call them that) but i also liked how they didn't explicitly made everyone gay in the show, like, it was obvious but not addressed.
However, it wasn't perfect, it was just simple and vute, but the slow scenes really put me off and acting wasn't exactly something to watch any boring story only to enjoy. Hence the rating.
That been said, if simple shows are your thing, go for it, it's actually nice ~~
