WASTED MY TIME ON WHAT EXACTLY?
This will be short and sweet, mostly because there’s absolutely nothing here worth stretching into paragraphs.I thought the first episode was boring and dull… and shockingly, after finishing the entire series, it stayed consistently boring and dull. Impressive dedication, honestly.
The plot? Practically a myth. The characters? So flat they could be used as coasters. Development? Zero. Nada. Nothing.
Even the story itself seemed like it wanted to take a nap.
The only mildly positive thing—and I’m being generous here—is the production value. At least it didn’t look like it was filmed with someone’s cousin’s phone.
Would I recommend it? Sure, if you want to give your skip button a nice workout. Otherwise… probably not.

At times very frustrating to watch
This is a series with a good story, but will get you extremely aggravating while watching. Out of the four main characters, I found only Gyeon, played by Se Jin, to be the true entertainment throughout each episode. The lead protagonist, Do Ha is so clueless, as three guys are literally falling all over him for his affection. It's completely frustrating for him not to even see how they're going out of their way to win him over. Somehow, even with so much animosity between the three suitors, they always end up at the same table for drinks or food wanting to kill each other with their looks. Very bizarre to say the least. The one saving grace are the last two episodes ... that rescued the series and corrected for all the wrongs from early on. The two that were totally meant to be together from the very beginning, ends up exactly as you had hoped.
I do hate the fast forward endings where years are skipped over, but at least this solidified the relationship we saw happen between the two. Episode 8 was indeed very enjoyable, so I kind of forgot the true annoyance I was experiencing early on.
Overall it ended up being good, but it could have been so much better with a few changes.

Was it good?
I’ll start out by saying that the male love interest’s acting is incredible and brought the story up from “cringy and stupid” to “I-actually-want-to-know-what-happens-next.”There’s a problem, though. You might be asking, “which male lead?” I’m asking the universe, PLEASE GIVE ME LESS MALE LEADS!! I’m not one for love triangles, and this story was a love pyramid. And the love pyramid was 🤢 and yet, it was what the whole story revolved around. So the worst part of the show was also the plot mechanism. In other words, that which was driving the plot, was actually ruining it - so much so that the drama would have been better without it. Yep, take 75% of the show out and you actually have something good. That’s how I would describe this drama.
However, this directive makes it really easy for those who don’t care about watching the whole thing ans just want to watch the good parts. Just watch the scenes with Taek Kyeon and you’ll have a stellar drama at your fingertips.

Light and fun drama to watch
Peach Trap hooked me right from the start. Three attractive men all fighting for one person? Yeah sign me up!!!! I won’t lie, I kind of wished I were Do Ha for a second. The concept felt fresh enough to be entertaining, even though it isn’t entirely new. It shares similarities with Secret Relationship, but what sets Peach Trap apart is the uncertainty. You genuinely don’t know who Do Ha will end up with, and that unpredictability keeps the drama engaging and fun to watch.Where the series struggles, though, is its length. Fitting everything into just eight episodes felt rushed. With three male leads,, each with their own storyline and individual moments with Do Ha,, the pacing moved a little too fast. None of them really got enough screen time to fully develop. That said, I didn’t mind too much, because honestly… I was rooting for the best friend the whole time anyway (fight meee!!).
Each character had their own charm, so it made sense that viewers had different biases while the show was airing. Even though I already knew who Do Ha would end up with because of spoilers, I still found myself constantly changing my mind while watching. In the end, though, I stuck with my original bias, Taek Gyeon. After seeing their history as childhood best friends, how could I not? If Do Ha didn’t want him, I would’ve gladly taken him myself thankyou.
I was a bit confused about Ha Ram’s role, though. There was clearly some tension between him and Taek Gyeon (hmmmm…), but the drama never fully explained it. My suspicions were partly confirmed in the final scene when Taek Gyeon implied that Ha Ram never truly wanted Do Ha,, but that thread was never explored further so I guess we will never knoww. Then there was the scene involving Ha Ram and the other jiu-jitsu trainer, which only added to my confusion. Maybe I missed something, but that subplot felt underdeveloped, and I wish the writers had clarified it moreee.
The Ending
As someone who always roots for the childhood best friend, I was very satisfied with the ending. I didn’t expect much going in, so getting not just one kiss, but multiple kisses?!!! was a pleasant surprise. And one of them wasn’t even the usual cute, safe BL kiss; it was actually steamy, which made it even better zhaaha. When Do Ha chose Taek Gyeon in episode seven, I was excited that we’d get a full episode dedicated to their dating era, and thankfully, the show delivered.
Overall, Peach Trap is a must watch if you enjoy love triangles, emotional confusion, and the thrill of not knowing who the main character will choose until the very end. WATCH ITTT!

Meeh
Ask not who you kissed last night but who you want to kiss tonight. if only our male lead would have done that we would not have anything to watch.Honestly I am not sure that is a bad thing...
While there are some nice shots here and there, and the guys are pretty cute. The male lead lacks any form of expressions looking like a lost kitten from start to finish. I really do not get what the three guys see in him or why he is so confused about the kiss he baerly remembers.

Emotionless, shallow and weak.
Wish I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Not really worth it. My complaint isn’t the lacking plot, it’s the lack of purpose. It wasn’t misleading, it was directionless. By the end I could have cared less about any of the characters really. My wish is that this would have tried to create real emotion, instead of just playing with my feelings. Was this review helpful to you?

I don’t remember when last a show pissed me off so badly
I will keep this short cause this is my first time writing a review. I honestly don’t remember the last time a show pissed me off so badly. This show was kinda boring but I kept watching cause I didn’t have anything else to watch.I really couldn’t stand his best friend’s character. The last straw was when he punched Haram (the barista) at the beach without any explanation. He made it seem like Haram kidnapped a 5 year old child. Mind you, all he did was take a grown a*s man (27 years old) to the beach. I literally dropped the show after that scene cause I was looking for a show to help me relax and not to get agitated.
And I can’t believe they chose the most unlovable character to play the MC smh. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

The Prince and His Suitors
"Yoo Do Ha!" Gyeon would shout his name as if he owned him. His person. His love that he has patiently waited to hold for the past 10 years. He protected. He supported. He encouraged. In doing all of this he created a bubble surrounding Do Ha who didn't recognize his feelings until he was forced to. Other participants wanted to be his person also. Ha Ram, who tried to be seen and Yeon Sang, who waited from afar. From the onset, it's pretty obvious who would win. Therein lies where the story falls short.Do Ha held the cards but played the safest most timid hand ever. There were no standout moments to catch your breath or agree that he made the right choice. They shared memories and in those memories, he saw how Gyeon put him first. The only difference between Gyeon and Yeon Sang was the ten years of frienship. Yeon Sang was just as direct and open about his feelings for him. He sought his best interest and fought for his reinstatement.
There was no real spark between Do Ha and Gyeon. It felt like a transition than a passionate love. Ha Ram the first to express his feelings was never really a part of the scenario as he was only given about 10 minutes of screen time to prove his worth. He failed. He hurt the most.
I liked the gentleness of the story. It didn't feel rushed. It also was too gentle. This rippled down to the end with no bang. No build up. Flashbacks used to create Do Ha and Gyeon's relationship and those of the initial approaches of his other suitors were delivered with some warmth. It was not a pleasant experience of Gyeon constant shouting of his name. Given the roles their acting was good as each character was well defined. The story telling was just a little too serene.
It is still a very decent watch. Enjoy.

As sweet as a peach
This was a sweet story. What do you do when you are 27 and never had a boyfriend and then all of a sudden get confessed to by 3 men... Cute cofusion all around...The visuals and music were beautiful.
The actors did a great job and the final couple did have good chemistry and kisses.
I also liked te little epilogues after some episodes.
I do recommend watching this cute drama.

This show was amazing everyone mad 4 no reason lol
The only reason so many people are rating this so low is because they wanted The ML with the coworker lol this show was so amazing and truly shows slow burn on one side and yearning on the other. A def must watch. You could always tell who he was going to end up with because that person cared so much more than the other ‘love interest’Was this review helpful to you?
Heart-warming to watch
I give this drama a 9/10 for the production, OST, and acting of the actors.Subin might be the most experienced actor of all of them. But considering 2 of the main leads are rookies. The story progress quite smoothly.
I really like the Best Friend's acting skill. He gives puppy-eyes and softer tone whenever with Doha. But a much more aggressive tone to the others.
And last, I think they have the best cinematography of the kissing scene in Ep.4.

A Story about Love Square
Peach Trap revolves around three guys fighting over one guy, but for me, it was already predictable who Doha would choose in the end—and who he truly had feelings for: his best friend. I think the message of this series is to show how Doha and Gyeon slowly realize they've actually been in love for many years. It’s a bit sad, but the writer clearly built a plot designed to push them into finally recognizing their feelings, especially since Gyeon never had the courage to confess. The moment he saw two guys showing interest in Doha, he suddenly acted differently and inserted himself into this love triangle. At first, I wasn’t a fan of Gyeon’s character because he came off as a jealous freak, but he eventually grew on me. I was rooting for Yeonsang instead since he had great chemistry with Doha too and seemed like such a green flag. Doha is really cute, but I’m not a fan of how his character is written—a 27-year-old man who acts like an introverted teenager.
I’ve read a lot of negative reviews, but Peach Trap isn’t that bad. It’s still watchable. However, there are downsides: how Doha's character was written, the amount of flashbacks is overwhelming for such a short series, and the editing is a bit messy. What I did enjoy was the chemistry between the main characters, plus the production value and OST were perfect.
Overall, I still recommend this series. It’s light, sweet, and not stressful at all.
