THERES NOTHING PEACHY ABOUT THIS TRAP
We as viewers are trapped, but no theres nothing peachy about it.First of all, i am confused about the title. Being peachy means being good so does that mean its a good trap or are they being stucked in a good way? Or is it maybe implying something deeper meaning like homosexualilty since its not a concidence that this is a BL drama.
The first episode was rousing and intriguing. 3 seme guys are fighting over the obviously uke Doha. It has the mystery solving vibe to find out who kissed DoHa and who will win his heart. Except it is very obvious from the opening credits and the amount of screentime who will win in the end.
You realized after 3 episodes that this show is just running circles and going nowhere. Doha's charm quickly fizzled as we find out more (or lack thereof) and that he is just a 16 year old stucked in a 27 year old body. Like how conservative is Korea for them to pull this modus on us to make ius believe that this is a 27 year old guy's first kiss, and all these 4 guys are acting as if this is all their first time to date (or pursue someone) ever. The plot is perfect if the setting is in college or high school - but super stupid in the adult world.
I also really dont understand Korea's insistence of pushing a movie-length content and dividing it in 8 short episodes. The weekly wait just makes it annoying and what could have palatable as movie becomes so bland and underdeveloped as a series. Thisi s basically a short story overly stretchd to fit the 8 episode order.
Would i recommend? Not particularly, not unless you have gazillions of free time or if you need some background movie while cooking.
Would i rewatch? Hell no.
i do however think we'd see more of Lee Do Han as a leading man in the future.
Overall the series is a 6.5 for me.

Another main lead with no personality
The story idea is fun and original- 3 guys are in love with the same person- his best friend, his team leader and some random barista (that guy is so random he doesnt stand a chance lol)Now the biggest mistery to me is why are they all in love with him since he's a 27 year old man child with a personality of a dish sponge. All he does is be confused.
I'll keep watching as i have nothing better to do lol but main character doesnt have much of a personality

Cute as a peach, lacking the pit!
The premise of this drama is straightforward as it gets. Yoo Doha is a sweet, awkward young man who has somehow navigated his entire life without a single romantic experience and is suddenly thrown into a love square with 3 different men.Have we seen this before? Yes. *Coughs secret relationships* Is it reinventing the wheel? No. So what does it do? It decides to bedazzle the wheel with peach colored fluff and aggressive cutesiness. And to be fair, for the first few episodes, it kind of works and then just gets very predictable.
The plot never pretends to be complex, which is fine but it also forgets to be tight. Don't get me wrong, the characters are adorable but deeply underwritten. Doha, our protagonist, is cute in the "someone protect him from literally everything" way. But he is painfully underdeveloped or has a personality that evolves. If I have to define his personality, it would revolve around being startled or confused or mildly flustered. It's sweet initially and then I started wishing he would develop at least one additional trait. I just couldn't understand why he would trigger a romantic hunger games between 3 men.
Coming to the 3 love rivals, none of them has a functioning sense of boundaries.
Team Leader Jeon: The cold yet caring, strict boss whose personality flips for Doha. Lovely idea because who doesn't love a tsundere lead, but the bond isn't developed enough or shown to us on screen that I would believe he would risk his professional integrity going out of the way to play protector. He was definitely my favourite from the lot but I felt the writing didn’t give us enough build-up to fully showcase him.
Yeon HaRam: Our resident flirt. Till the end, I didn't understand him or why he did. I didn't feel any chemistry between him and Doha. He was definitely charming in a brooding way (if it makes sense lol). He has the same problem as the rest. The writing gave his sparkles but not enough foundation.
Taek Gyeon: Flag bearer of friends-to-lovers trope. We see most of him, and it’s no surprise I ended up rooting for him. Since they share a history together, somehow his feelings made more sense logically and we got enough context in comparison with the other 2 suitors. Though I am not too impressed with his courting ways, out of all the peaches, I would pick him. He and Doha were really cute together and that's about it.
Honestly, the love rivals had better personalities, in my humble opinion when compared to Doha. Each of them brought something distinct to the story and Doha often felt flatter. The chemistry works in moments, but never settles into something truly satisfying. It's like the drama casted three attractive leads and hoped their combined good looks would distract you from the fact that no one here has any real character growth.
That said it somehow works as a good romcom. There were some heart-fluttering moments, but it plays too safe that nothing stands out. Nothing is unwatchable, but nothing is memorable either.
Visually, the drama is pretty with soft lighting, calm colour palettes, the whole “gentle K-romcom glow.”
Coming to the acting, Jung Su Bin as Yoo Doha was not that impressive for me. I don't know if it was the "deer caught in the headlights" character or the writing or the acting itself, but it failed to leave an impression on me. The remaining 3 leads were fine. Again nothing to run home about, but also not bad.
Overall, it’s cute, yes.
It’s entertaining, yes.
Does it deliver anything new to the BL landscape? Not really.
Does it reach the emotional depth or any? Sadly no.
I would recommend this only if you go in expecting a fluffy distraction rather than a fully fleshed-out romance. This drama sit on the shelf of "dramas I liked but didn't loved".

Why do we still have child-like leads?
Three completely different dudes randomly at the same time decided to pursue a vanilla child-like lead, after simping from him without him knowing for months/years. What even?Yoo Do Ha is honestly poorly written. There is a massive difference between being innocent/shy and being child-like. I have no idea why some writers are obsessed with making leads (be it male leads in BLs or female leads in romance dramas) act so much like a clueless toddlers with empty big eyes stare and not 0.000000001% of assertiveness in behavior. It just makes the drama unrealistic.
I am sure there are men who like this type of a partner - there is a type for everyone. But I also refuse to believe there are so many people into this type of behavior to create a love square out of it.
Not that the suitors were any better. All 3 were frustrating for just "keeping their crush a secret" and never doing shit to get Do Ha. Why the stalker behavior?
Not that the drama was tragically bad, but it was also not really good. The first half was better, but only because we did not yet know how shallow all the characters and the plot was - I was still excited to find out more. There was no “more”.
Acting wise we had some good, decent and bad examples. Cha Se Jin easily delivered the best performance. Both Cha Yu Hyun and Lee Do Han were decent in the roles, but Jung Su Bin - my guy for sure has better presence and financial expressions on stage. Maybe the issue was the writing of Do Ha, but the whole characters felt extremely… empty.
Overall, kind of waste of time, kind of decent for a background watch. I wanted to give it 6.5, but the last two episodes had too many weird, random and dumb moments for me.

cute but a dull main character...
What could have been a very interesting story, turned out to be in the wrong setting all together. The most thing that irked me was that the main character is a grown up man (27), still acting like a child in his puberty. Had this been a school/university setting it would have made much more sense. I understand that some people are a bit slow, but he was slow for a decade which is bit unbelievable for me. Also the barista is more of a side character not a lead, because we have no clue how he fell into love with mr. dull guy. Yes, the guy was always there getting his coffee but there were no memorable interactions between them. While the last two episodes were the best of the series, it's a bit sad that Mr. team leader had no positive ending. I would not have been against the team leader get together with the barista, but the barista will end up with his trainer and Mr. team leader will be alone :( Maybe because he was the most mature of them all. But the shyness in the end scene is also a bit akward... if you are together for three years you won't get flustered just because you see a bare body... that's too cliché for my taste.
So, this series has a bit a split personality. The lead character was a bit dull and slow, the triple fighting for him were the more interesting people but the setting was also not ideal for this kind of a story. The acting of the three was very good, but I would see them more in an university setting. It's still easy on the eyes and it's cute to a certain point but it is missing something. Production wise I can't fault the series, it is high quality but the script is lacking. Overall a nice watch, but nothing special which is a bit disappointing.

The logic in this (if there was any) just left the chat.
I mean , it was a good start. They presented the characters pretty well and each of them had a predominant characteristic. So far, so good. Things start to get ugly when Doha starts to feel confused about his feelings (pretty normal right) BUT WHY IN EARTH THE END GAME WAS HIS BFF??? He manipulated him, harassed him, and even went violent just because¿???? I repeat myself, where is the logic?!?! What do this show want to promote? That we should stay with someone who is toxic and put his feelings over mine?! And then the coffee shop owner, he was another violent guy and even hid doha's phone to keep him out of reach, like¿????? The right chose is and will be the team manager. Don't watch this if you can't keep up with irrationality. Was this review helpful to you?

It grossed me out.
I put this one on my watchlist just because it starred Jung Subin and I regret it. I think he's so freaking adorable but this series made me want to punch him hard in the face. Why do most BL series insist in having one manly man and another man so delicate he could easily be replaced with a woman or a child and make no difference? Truly these 3 men deserve jail or need therapy or both.
Yoo Do Ha who on many instances claims to be a 27 year old grown ass man sounds, looks and behaves like a 5 year old yet somehow for some reason he has 3 men interested in him.
Taek Gyeong, childhood best friend who's been in love with him forever, acts like a mad dog around him, seriously terrifying.
Haram, Café owner clingy, slimy and sleezy gives me the creeps just following Doha around practically stalking him.
Yeon San former coworker handsome plank of wood.
I watched the entire series and I have no idea why they liked Doha, Why and when Doha liked the person he chose, it's obvious who he chose I don't have to say it and you don't have to watch it to know. All 3 choices were bad but, chose the absolute worst, Doha dear, I know he's got a cute smile, but that doesn't erase his horrible awful toxic personality.
8 episodes of nothing really, some beautiful shots here and there, cute boys to look at, but absolutely not worth watching.

Too predictable and bland, where is the needed angst ?!
This harem (?) BL was super average overall and brought nothing new to the table. I was overall happy with the endgame because the chosen guy was my fave among the suitors but too be honest the competition was quite bland and it is mainly because I enjoy the trope of the "main" relationship that I rooted for the endgame pair.It lacked surprise overall, with the main character Do Ha being a super innocent pushover... The series tried to show his progress and growth but overall, it felt very flat and easy, with him being super passive, dragged from one guy to another before finally "deciding"...But the choice lacked angst and passion, even if I still think it was the only one making sense given the relationships dynamics and what was shown from the four main protagonists.
Acting was average, I liked a lot Cha Se Jin (very charismatic) as well as Cha Yu Hyun but I found Jung Su Bin and Lee Do Han too meek and monotonous in their expressions...It might be because their parts were the less interesting ones but for sure it would not have hurt to see them demonstrate more variety in their approaches of their respective roles. Production felt very standard for a South Korean BL, very proper and colorful, without anything really outstanding.
I would not recommend this to people because overall it is just a basic run-of-the-mill BL. I also feel that the harem factor was not exploited well enough to make it interesting, which is a shame. However, it is an easy watch, with some hot actors, so you might want to give it a shot if you have run out of option in the genre or if you are looking for something harmless that will put your brain at rest...

face cards delivered, writing did not
Overall: I think the actors did their best with an underwhelming plot. 8 episodes about 25 min each. Aired on iQIYI https://www.iq.com/play/peach-trap-episode-1-25v64vqz458?lang=en_us ; GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/5964/peach-trap-2025-e01 (not United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Mexico, Spain, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Taiwain) & Heavenly (South Korea)Content Warning: non/dub con kissing, punch, manipulation
What I Liked
- visuals
- peach references
- easy to understand premise
- Do Ha showed some initiative in episode 8
Room For Improvement
- even with the fantasy element, I couldn't believe 3 gorgeous men were all in love with the human equivalent of a damp rag, in the end I wanted Do Ha to be alone, talk with a therapist and learn to be an adult human
- too much of the ML moping/being indecisive and flashbacks
- one character punched a character and the line afterward was maybe supposed to be romantic but came across as creepy
- another character manipulated Do Ha and he managed to get a love interest at the end

I’m never going to watch a love triangle as it’s coming out again
The best friend was like the worst option. He was fist fighting everyone just cus he was jealous. Haram was so irrelevant. In my opinion Team Leader was the best. He was kind and respectful. I’m genuinely so confused why they didn’t make him the ml if he had the best personality. Also at least from the eps I watched the team leader had the most chemistry. I’m not even trying to be a hater like I genuinely didn’t see anything between the friend and the mc. Maybe it’s the MC actors fault or just the writing for the character because he was really bland.Overall: it had so much potential and the writers and directors fumbled it. It’s like walking with a glass vase, you trip and it shatters. And you try to pick up the pieces to fix it but it ends up just looking ugly. This was so bad omg. What a waste of my time.

A Sweet and Heartwarming Korean BL That Feels Like a Warm Hug
Peach Trap is adorable, cute and wonderfully light. This series delivered everything I hoped for. It is sweet and beautifully shot. All four male leads are stunning and each brings a unique charm and warmth to the story. The music fits perfectly and creates that soft but exciting Korean BL atmosphere I love. The plot hooked me immediately and it even reminded me a little of Secret Relationships, my favourite Korean BL this year where three men fall for one person. But unlike that messy and toxic love triangle, Peach Trap feels pure and joyful with genuine affection and natural jealousy that never turns cruel.Yoo Do Ha is the heart of the series. He is small, adorable and innocent, the kind of character who does not even realise how lovable he is. No wonder three gorgeous men are drawn to him. His team leader Jeon may appear cold and strict on the outside but he is the only one who believed in Do Ha when everyone else turned their backs after he was framed and fired. Yeon Ha Ram, the aloof café worker, treats most customers with distance but softens instantly around Do Ha with free drinks and quiet smiles. Then there is Taek Gyeon, the protective childhood friend, a taekwondo instructor with a sculpted body and a loyal heart.
Watching these three men orbit around Do Ha is delightful. Their jealousy is playful rather than toxic which makes the love square feel chaotic in the best way. The series balances humour, emotion and romantic tension without ever crossing into abusive or possessive territory. It feels safe, comforting and thrilling all at once.
Peach Trap is a refreshing addition to this year’s Korean BL lineup, a soft and heartwarming escape from the darker and heavier stories we have seen recently. It is funny to see it rated R18 plus on iQIYI because it feels more like a cozy romance than anything scandalous.
A lovely 9.5 out of 10 for a sweet, non toxic and beautifully filmed romantic comedy that captures the magic of modern BL storytelling.

WASTED MY TIME ON WHAT EXACTLY?
This will be short and sweet, mostly because there’s absolutely nothing here worth stretching into paragraphs.I thought the first episode was boring and dull… and shockingly, after finishing the entire series, it stayed consistently boring and dull. Impressive dedication, honestly.
The plot? Practically a myth. The characters? So flat they could be used as coasters. Development? Zero. Nada. Nothing.
Even the story itself seemed like it wanted to take a nap.
The only mildly positive thing—and I’m being generous here—is the production value. At least it didn’t look like it was filmed with someone’s cousin’s phone.
Would I recommend it? Sure, if you want to give your skip button a nice workout. Otherwise… probably not.
