bad start
I was excited at first for this gl more than i should have been, as soon as the first episode released, just simply disappointed in it. The style is very cartoonish and the acting is not as i expected it to be, but the actresses are extremely cute and made me get through the first episode by watching them. I will pray that this first impression is not gonna stay the same till the end of the serie because the potential it has is huge, and it could get better through the next episodes. A lot of money invested in a very bad story.
The actresses' performances are good, and you can tell a lot of money was invested in the production, as the camera work, colors, costumes, etc., are very good... but the story, which is the most important thing, is very weak. Too much happened in just one episode. Right at the beginning, we were introduced very quickly to Z, and we don't even know what the other protagonist's daily life is like! How did she lose her job? Where are her parents? How did the app come about? How are the points calculated? What did she do to get enough points to have a wish granted? Why isn't everyone talking about this app? After all, it's an app that could prove to humanity that angels exist and that you can make wishes to them. How come nobody is talking about this in the media? Furthermore, who owns this app? Do you understand? So much was ignored to get straight to the main story.Was this review helpful to you?
First Impressions
I really wanted to love this show immediately. This show has an interesting premise, fun characters, pretty cinematography, and great butch representation. However, there feels like something is off. The editing is jarring, some of the dialogue feels off, plot points come out of nowhere and the acting is sometimes awkward. I hope this show improves as it goes on but it’s already facing issues that some shows get affected with in later episodes I fear.Was this review helpful to you?
