"The Prison Guard's Way" is a moving prison human mystery set in Kaga Prison in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, depicting prisoners with various circumstances and the prison guards who do their best to rehabilitate them. The protagonist, Munekata, is a passionate prison guard who adheres to the "way" of "believing in the prisoners" and "the prison guard's mission is to give them hope for life." One night, Munekata's "small kindness" towards one prisoner causes a major incident that could shake the prison system.
