All charcters need therapy ASAP
It has been ages since I was this invested in a BL, to the point of finishing it in no time. It has also been years since I’ve watched a Korean BL and honestly I’d say its been a year even since i watched a good action BL that didn’t bother me because of the bad acting or the boring plot.As much as i enjoyed it, i am actually happy that it was short, cause it manage to kept the tension high for the entirety of the show, a thing that almost no action bl were able to do in all the years I’ve spent watching them. There was literally no dull moment. It was packed with informations and events beginning to end, and i was actually quite happy of it, even tho i think some aspects could have been explained better, like actually giving a somehow understandable introduction to the various victims without me having to guess half of the time who they were.
One thing: OH MY GOD. I cannot believe the whole plot, the whole deus ex machine, the whole fucking reason they met each other was to resolve the omicide of lee chaeha father and somehow at the end we don’t know who tf made it??? Like it was the whole point, it should have been explained, here should have been at least a confirmation of some sort (and to be fair, an apology from taeseon towards chaeha, but maybe I’m over reaching).
The chemistry between the actors was undeniable and i loved it so much. They were so fricking good together, and finally some kbl actors that were not afraid to open their mouth while kissing like we used to pray for times like this. Unfortately the romance was a little bit borderline for me. The first kisses were forced, their first time they were drunk (well, especially chaeha).. all red flags that I don’t like and don’t condone. And to be fair, even if its then explained why Taeson behaves this way towards Chaeha, the way chaeha fell for someone that treated them so badly was honestly scary like man go to therapy don’t stay here please. Well, actually, they should both go to therapy. No wait, every single charcter in this show should have gone to therapy. Like, there was not a single character that wasn’t either a full psycho or full of traumas that desperately needs some processing.
Both actors were pretty good, but oh my god Yoonsik. The performance was so impressive it scared me. He was able to convey so many emotions through his eyes it made me so happy cause i could finally watch a bl were not only they picked goo actors, but they even put them in role that measured to them (gmmtv, LEARN)
The videography and all the visuals aspects were pretty good, as usual for Korean shows. The dark tones fitted the image perfect, the production, even if the budget wasn’t the highest was pretty well done, the scripts were good, the character intresting. Everything was done very well
Would i rewatch it? Likely yes, but maybe after the first three or four episodes. I’d rewatch some moments and move on, its not exactly the most rewatchable show of all time, once u know all the plot twist.
PS. The plot twist were pretty predictable, but still pretty nice.
PPS. Yoonsik you are the prettiest man alive, kiss whoever gave you that hairstyle.

Great story, cast and acting but very fast paced
While the story and the cast are amazing , the story was too fast paced. At some point I felt like their relationship wasn't close enough to jump in front of a knife. or to panic so much if they were in the verge of death.But overall a Good drama to watch and the NC scenes were really good. Visually and both emotionally.

GREAT ACTORS AND STORYLINE
All the actors did so well. The main leads acted so well. They have a good chemistry and they handled their explicit scene well intentionally according to their character. Their "eye-acting" were greatly done. Emotions were felt beyond the screen. I would also like to commend the antagonists, Oh Jahyeon, Director Tak, and Song Haneul, on their acting. They portrayed their characters so well especially Song Haneul at the end. Oh Jahyeon also did so well in her character being so annoying and ragebaiting.It's a great production. I also appreciate the storyline. It's not common to me. I am glad that the cases were just connected to each other which made it easier to follow and more interesting. It did not need to add other problems or different cases to complicate the story. Overall, the show is great and I hope that K-BL series will thrive and be known to more people. I hope this queer love will be accepted by more people and will not remain as just a BL genre but just a love story like those of hetero love stories.

In line with a big budget series! Phenomenal !
Okay, I did not know what to expect and I'm very glad because this little drama series did a lot with the little time it had for each episode. This was a very well crafted and executed drama series for boy love...you really will forget at times that boys love is the overall theme.The main protagonist were wonderful. They did their job and I hope to see more from them both, not just in this genre but I want to see them cast in other mainstream dramas that premier on major networks. Wishing them many successes.
The supporting cast, they also performed and executed, they did not leave the heavy lifting up to the main leads.
The Directors, Producers, Casting Directors, Stylist, etc...everyone put major effort into this series...from music, cinematography, location, wardrobe...the entire store, there were no plot holes. This is definitely going on my rewatch list.
I hope others will give it an honest watch and raise the viewership numbers, and keep talking it up everywhere.

It's a great watch. Just that the very ending is a mismatch? Like the beach sunset kiss, kinda cliche, I rather want to know their life after the case, not like some kind of "and they live happily ever after" Scene.But the series itself is so good, and top rated to be honest.

Yoon-sik as Tae-seon is EVERYTHING. Tall, cold, intense, the kind of character who barely speaks but says everything with his eyes. And Siwoo as Chae-ha, the mini version who looks soft but carries so much quietly. These two together just work in a way that is hard to explain. The slow burn, the tension, the push and pull between them had me completely hooked. And their kisses? So passionate and raw, nothing felt scripted, everything felt lived in and real.
Director Yang Kyung-hee kept the tone dark and gripping, making the romance and the crime investigation feel like two sides of the same story. The OST is gorgeous, hits exactly when it needs to.

July 27, 2026The Prosecutor's Proposal could have been that S-tier BL of the year for me if only the last two episodes did not feel so rushed. I know that it has to be condensed from the original work since it is an adaptation and the budget is limited. However, I wish these two can do another BL project cause their chemistry is chef's kiss. It is so amazing, it was overflowing all over the screen.
They definitely brought the hype for KBL again, and I truly love the attention they are getting. I would definitely recommend this show if you like a shorter and fast pacing plot!

What makes the series particularly remarkable is how it redefines what a KBL can be. It does not rely heavily on romance to attract or retain viewers; instead, the love story is only one part of a much larger and more compelling experience.Chae-ha and Tae-seon are bound together by a decades-old murder case, and as they dig deeper into the truth, their emotional connection gradually becomes stronger. Every revelation raises the stakes, making you desperate not only to see the two of them finally get together but also to uncover the shocking truth buried beneath the mystery. That distinction is what makes The Prosecutor’s Proposal feel refreshing and, in many ways, groundbreaking for the KBL genre.
My only nitpick is that I wish the series had given Chae-ha and Tae-seon more opportunities to simply be in love. Their emotional connection is convincing, but I would have loved to see more domestic moments, softer interactions, and scenes that allowed their relationship to progressively grow beyond the circumstances of the murder investigation. More of that intimate, everyday side of their relationship could have made the romance feel even more rewarding.
Acting/Cast: The acting is undoubtedly one of The Prosecutor’s Proposal’s biggest strengths, particularly because of the two protagonists’ emotionally layered performances, undeniable chemistry, and screen charisma. Their dynamic immediately stands out—not simply because of the romantic tension, but because of how convincingly they portray two people whose contrasting personalities constantly clash and pull them toward each other.
Ju Tae-seon’s brooding, complicated nature perfectly contrasts with Park Si-woo’s charismatic yet conflicted personality. Their palpable sexual tension, love-hate dynamic, and constant emotional push-and-pull give their interactions an intensity that makes even their smallest exchanges feel significant. What makes their chemistry particularly effective is that beneath the friction and attraction lies genuine emotional complexity, allowing their relationship to feel unpredictable yet believable.
I really love how their relationship progressed rapidly despite what I call "trauma bonded" but they really have different perspective in dealing it and how they project themselves to the people. Tae Seon's cold, stoic and sometimes ruthless nature is rooted on truth-seeking and revenge but despite that he's displayed protective, playful and perceptive behavior. Chae Ha on the other hand displayed a more optimistic outlook, a bit naive at times, often times submissive to person in authority, but I also love how he's very inquisitive, quick-witted and observant temperament.
The supporting cast also delivered tight, gripping, and emotionally charged performances. Each character brought something memorable to the story, adding flavor and depth while complementing the protagonists without overshadowing them. Collectively, the cast elevated the series’ emotional stakes and made its already compelling narrative even more immersive.
Music: The music in The Prosecutor’s Proposal was alluring, atmospheric, and perfectly suited to the series’ mysterious tone. From the opening theme, the soundtrack immediately establishes a sense of intrigue and anticipation, setting the mood for a story filled with secrets, danger, and uncertainty.
The background music was particularly effective in amplifying the emotional weight of each scene. It heightened the tension and anticipation without overpowering the performances, something that became especially evident in Episodes 9 and 10, where the stakes were at their highest. The combination of music and carefully placed sound effects multiplied the intensity of those scenes, making the suspense feel even more palpable.
My only wish is that the series had featured a more extensive soundtrack, especially during the moments when Chae-ha and Tae-seon were either falling deeper in love or caught in their intense, emotionally charged tension. More memorable romantic tracks could have made their relationship feel even more immersive.
Rewatch Value: Despite The Prosecutor’s Proposal being far from a light or easy watch, it remains one of the most gripping Korean BLs I’ve seen. Its layered mystery, suspense, emotional intensity, and unpredictable twists make it a series I can see myself returning to, even knowing how the story unfolds.
I would especially rewatch Chae-ha and Tae-seon’s flirtatious, highly charged confrontations that gradually turned sexual, because their palpable tension and chemistry made those scenes incredibly memorable. At the same time, their lighter and more playful moments are just as worth revisiting because they revealed a softer side of their relationship and showed how naturally their chemistry translated on screen. Those moments made their dynamic feel more than just intense—they made it fun, intimate, and emotionally engaging.
My biggest disappointment, however, is the finale scene, particularly the use of an AI-generated background, which felt noticeably out of place against the otherwise polished production quality and slightly diminished what could have been a more satisfying closing moment.
Still, 9/10 feels deserved. This is not necessarily a BL I would rewatch for comfort, but one I would return to for its suspense, emotional intensity, unforgettable Chae-ha and Tae-seon moments, and the sheer thrill of experiencing its story all over again.
The Prosecutor’s Proposal is an exceptional example of how a BL can successfully step outside the genre’s conventional boundaries. It is suspenseful, emotionally gripping, unpredictable, and remarkably well-produced, with a mystery strong enough to stand on its own and a romance that makes the journey even more worthwhile. A rare KBL where I was equally desperate to see the couple fall in love and to find out what happened.

Great crime series
This was a great series, i really loved the crime aspect and it was very well executed. It had a very good story.The visuals were great and i loved the music.
The ending felt a little bit rushed, i would have been even better if they added 1 or 2 more episodes to play out the final conclusion.
It was very well acted, the mains had great chemistry and the kisses and NC scenes were great too.
This is a must watch!

A Mystery First. A Romance Second.
The biggest surprise for me wasn’t the romance—it was how invested I became in the mystery.At just ten episodes of roughly twenty-five minutes each, The Prosecutor’s Proposal tells a surprisingly layered story involving an old murder case, present-day killings, corruption, family secrets, and two men whose lives have been connected for years before they ever meet.
Prosecutor Ju Taeseon promotes investigator Lee Chaeha for all the wrong reasons. Believing Chaeha’s father murdered his own father years earlier, Taeseon intends to make Chaeha’s life miserable as a form of revenge. Instead, he discovers that Chaeha has already spent years carrying the weight of his father’s conviction and the stigma that followed. What begins as revenge slowly becomes something Taeseon never expected.
What makes the romance work is the emotional imbalance between them. Taeseon knows exactly who Chaeha is from the very beginning. Chaeha has no idea who Taeseon really is. As the investigation uncovers more truths, that secret becomes harder and harder to keep, making the relationship feel emotionally earned rather than driven by artificial misunderstandings.
The mystery was every bit as engaging as the romance. I found myself making theories throughout the series, trying to connect clues, hidden relationships, and decades-old secrets. The writers play fair by planting clues early enough that attentive viewers can solve some of the major twists before they’re revealed, which made the investigation especially satisfying.
The pacing is another standout. With such short episodes, there isn’t room for filler, and the story keeps moving without feeling rushed. Every episode either advances the investigation, deepens the characters, or both. I would have been happy if there were more episodes!
And then there’s the chemistry. It’s excellent. The romance grows naturally from the story instead of interrupting it, making both aspects stronger. One particular doorway scene is a perfect example of how effective quiet tension and character choices can be when they’re given room to breathe.
Overall, this is one of the strongest short-format dramas I’ve watched. It’s an engaging mystery, a compelling character drama, and a satisfying romance all at once.
