Key Highlights
A Tragic, Intricate Plot: The narrative centers on a brutal murder from 15 years ago, reconnecting two men marked by history, the victim's son and the accused killer's son. Reunited years later as a prosecutor and an investigator, they are forced to uncover a web of corruption while confronting their own past demons.
Electrifying Performances & Chemistry: Park Si-woo (Chae Ha) and Yoon Do-gun (Tae Seon) deliver masterclass performances. Years of lingering pain and social stigma ground their resentment, making the friction between them raw and palpable. Their chemistry jumps off the screen; emotional tension builds at a slow burn through every shared glance and confrontation without ever overshadowing the core police investigation.
Flawless Production Value: The cinematography stands out with its sleek aesthetics and dynamic pacing that keeps the suspense sharp throughout.
A Mature Balance: It expertly strikes the sweet spot between a complex crime investigation and mature, organic moments of intimacy.
The Prosecutor’s Proposal doesn't just raise the bar for Korean BL productions, it stands as an absolute must-watch for fans of suspense stories packed with high-stakes emotional and romantic drama.

A Mystery First. A Romance Second.
The biggest surprise for me wasn’t the romance—it was how invested I became in the mystery. At just ten episodes of roughly twenty-five minutes each, The Prosecutor’s Proposal tells a surprisingly layered story involving an old murder case, present-day killings, corruption, family secrets, and two men whose lives have been connected for years before they ever meet.
Prosecutor Ju Taeseon promotes investigator Lee Chaeha for all the wrong reasons. Believing Chaeha’s father murdered his own father years earlier, Taeseon intends to make Chaeha’s life miserable as a form of revenge. Instead, he discovers that Chaeha has already spent years carrying the weight of his father’s conviction and the stigma that followed. What begins as revenge slowly becomes something Taeseon never expected.
What makes the romance work is the emotional imbalance between them. Taeseon knows exactly who Chaeha is from the very beginning. Chaeha has no idea who Taeseon really is. As the investigation uncovers more truths, that secret becomes harder and harder to keep, making the relationship feel emotionally earned rather than driven by artificial misunderstandings.
The mystery was every bit as engaging as the romance. I found myself making theories throughout the series, trying to connect clues, hidden relationships, and decades-old secrets. The writers play fair by planting clues early enough that attentive viewers can solve some of the major twists before they’re revealed, which made the investigation especially satisfying.
The pacing is another standout. With such short episodes, there isn’t room for filler, and the story keeps moving without feeling rushed. Every episode either advances the investigation, deepens the characters, or both. I would have been happy if there were more episodes!
And then there’s the chemistry. It’s excellent. The romance grows naturally from the story instead of interrupting it, making both aspects stronger. One particular doorway scene is a perfect example of how effective quiet tension and character choices can be when they’re given room to breathe.
Overall, this is one of the strongest short-format dramas I’ve watched. It’s an engaging mystery, a compelling character drama, and a satisfying romance all at once.

Stoic Prosecutor X Clumsy Inspector With a Dark Past Falls in Love
Whatever it is that’s happening in the KBL world this year, I hope it never stops. We’ve been getting some pretty good (out of KBL comfort zone) series this year, and this yet is another one.High-quality show, interesting mystery/thriller plot, and so far, the story is progressing really well.
I’m curious to see how the love builds up between ML and MC, but I know this would be more than just the typical man-falls-in-love-with-another-man Korean BL, this story already looks like something very very different from that. Dangerous… Risqué too perhaps.
If you love mystery, suspense, thriller shows, then you should give this a watch.
First Edit: I absolutely love this story so far. The plot is so interesting and engaging. Six episodes in, and the momentum is still very solid.

MUST watch
Damn, KBL is really on top right now, huh? This series has completely exceeded my expectations, and every episode just keeps getting better. The chemistry between the main couple is absolutely incredible, making every scene feel so natural and emotional. It’s one of those dramas that easily pulls you in, leaving you excited for what happens next. Even though the series is still ongoing, I’m already counting down the days until Episode 5 because I seriously cannot wait to see how the story unfolds. One of the things I love most about KBL is how it keeps viewers emotionally invested. Every episode leaves me wanting more, and the cliffhangers make the wait feel even longer. The acting, storytelling, and overall production are so well done that it’s hard not to get attached to the characters. The main couple deserves all the love they’re getting because they truly bring their roles to life. Their chemistry feels genuine, and it’s one of the biggest reasons why this series has become such a favorite for so many fans.
I’m already manifesting that the production team gives us another series with the exact same main couple after this one ends. They have so much potential, and it would honestly be a waste if this were their only project together. I know I’m not the only one hoping for more because they’ve created something really special that fans would definitely support again.
Also, can we please talk about the episode lengths? They’re way too short! I wish each episode were much longer because I never want them to end. Just when things start getting really exciting, the credits roll, and I’m left waiting another week. Hopefully, future episodes are longer because I could honestly watch these two for hours. KBL is definitely one of the best ongoing series right now, and I’m so excited to see what’s coming next!

This show is truly UNBELIEVABLE
It is my second bl of all time, I can guarantee you that you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend to anyone since this show is an absolute masterpiece 😍❤️. The actors and the whole atmosphere is FANTASTIC, the story as well as the plot twist are going to leave you with a dropped jaw. 😘Was this review helpful to you?
definitely must watch even if you don't watch bl
definitely one of the best k-drams i've watched in the past years, the plot was plotting, the chemistry, the acting was top notch, but ngl it felt rushed in the last ep, they could've added one more ep to make it more filling and it would've been the series of the century, it's rare that i find series this good, in all aspects.if you are looking for a thriller that you can binge watch and be invested in it then you must watch it. it also shows the ugly truth about reality and how rich peoples wrongdoings get easily hidden, and how important it is to have people like these 3 in the judicial system.
of the topic but after i got to know that Mr. vacuum cleaner was friends with lee know i want to see him reaction to this series. (and of course he will watch it with han 😉).

A good drama and an interesting BL story
I great show with all actors, fascinating story, captivating in every single episode. There is a drama, maybe not for everyone, but I enjoyed that there was more than "merely" a BL story, and the relations between all involved characters made it all the more interesting. For me a flawless exprience with nothing to complain about. Was this review helpful to you?

A MASTERPIECE! LOVE MR. VACUUM CLEANER AND HIS BABE
Yet another masterpiece that i am happy i decided to watch after planning on skipping it. When I saw the intro song using AI I was like well... having 2nd thoughts but then I like how the whole drama wasn't AI but it was used just like a tool for backgrounds and special effects only for specific scenes. The story was just amazing. I like how they balanced both the cases and the romance while keeping the cases interesting and the romance intense.
The cast was just perfect🤭 makes me wish they were an official cp cz i wanna see more of them. But then it's fine cz they're humans n in korea so yeah. I think they were pretty in par with CBLs and JBLs when it comes to story, toxicity n stuff and on par with Thai BLs when it comes to NCs which was unexpected from korea.
Overall watch it please DO WATCH IT!!!

I needed more time with these two!
I'm deducting half a star because it needed more time to stew. Other than that this was 10 of 10 for me!The mains are delicious. I loved their chemistry. The supporting cast was hella good. Really great acting. The writing was good except its so short that things felt rushed sometimes. I wasnt given enough time to sit with my feelings before they moved on.
I also wanted one more NC scene. I dont say that because they were hot, which they were. I say it because the sex scenes reflected where they were in their journey, and I think there was one more milestone that needed commemoration. Again, I blame the short format for robbing us of that moment.
Overall a pretty satisfying watch! Love to see more of them both in future projects!

kbls are back!
This is how you do it! Engaging plot from the get go, the premise could not be more compelling: the son of the victim working with the son of the murderer. They fall in love. Oh, this was just perfect. It is a damn shame that the episodes were so short. This would have killed it if we had had a 45+ minute long episodes each week. I think the plot, both the murder mystery and the romantic plot, could have benefited greatly from a longer runtime. Still, for the time they were given, I'm very satisfied with the story, the pacing, and the characters. Specially the characters. Because yes, murder myteries are all about the plot, but also the cast of characters. Even if we all called who the son was, we were all compelled by this cast. Everyone acted their heart out. That's exactly how you do it. Amazingly well done, I only hope we get to see them acting again soon. Was this review helpful to you?
a masterpiece held back by duration.
ok first of all, give the cast, all of them, an award! the acting???? not just the main characters but the supporting characters too!! all of them nailed it!second of all, more. we need more! more of them and more of the story!! those 10 episodes with 20-30 mins duration isn't enough at all! oh how i yearn for them to make longer k-bl!
the story literally has so much potential? i mean *cough* killer's son x victim's son??? not even a mainstream k-drama has this kind of trope!! interesting trope, great story, lots of plot twist and yet so little duration.
the ending is too abrupt for me. so many things left unexplained and so many jumps on the story too (hence the 8.5 rating)... ah seriously if only they have 16 episodes with 1hr duration.. could've been the best of the best ngl. not saying this isn't good, it's good already, but it could get waaaayyy better ykwim.
the chemistry is top notch! it's a waste for them just to play one drama together! give them MORE! 5 MORE PLEASE!
oh! the only minus in this drama is that fuckass ai opening. could've got a 10 but nope! minus 0.5 for that ai slop.

Really well done
It was a such a great story. The main characters were amazing actors also the nc scenes were great and did not feel awkward at all. The angst, the hatred that turns to want and longing (*italian hands emoji)A few things I think they could have done better was
1. why yoon gyuho called chae-ha in the last episode - there was no explanation
2. the groveling i was expecting after chae-ha found out about kang taeseon
3. a little more clarification on how the crimes were committed
I do understand that there was very little time and too much to cover so its not that big of a deal because everything else was just crazy good.
