You Happy Neighbourhood Vampires
My Secret Vampire is an eight episode long Korean BL with, as unexpected as it may sound to to you, Vampires. And a non Vampire. And of course everyone is gay. 😅Anyway, I really like this sort of less dramatic version of Vampire meets non-Vampire BL than the other big one. No big blood scenes, and I liked the calm pacing of this studio, whose MC actors I think I saw before. Though looking it up I could neither verify any other show nor the studio. Maybe you know more.
Anyhow, I really liked this lighthearted show, with all endearing characters. There is no "real" solution to a certain issue, meaning aging. But I guess like star gazing or marveling at the cherry blossom, sometimes we just lose ourselves in a happy moment. Not reinventing the wheel and staying a bit on the surface with the Vampire story, each actor and scene was enjoyable and lovely, I give this a good
8/10 rating.

this was the most peak fluff bl i've ever seen out of korea
oh my godddd yes yes yes yes yes yes this show was SO cute. i'll be honest, i didn't even know this show existed until i saw an edit of it on tiktok, and as soon as i saw joowon i was HOOKED. lets just get one thing straight: i am OBSESED with vampire stories and just vampires now. starting in middle school with seraph of the end, to now where one of my favorite kpop groups is literally enhypen. hell, twilight even used to be my favorite book as a kid. so, clearly, when i saw that two of my favorite things (bls and vampires) were being joined together, i was in. my judgement is a BIT clouded since i love all things vampires, but even leaving that behind, this show slaps. these actors are so cute bro. korea is really stepping up their game with casting actors for bls that arent literal mannequins (ball boy tactics is another great example from this year). their chemistry is so good, theyre SO cute together. this show is what i wished kissable lips was (man that show was such a disappointment especially since it was jiwoong and seobin). now, is the plot anything crazy or the characters super deep and well developed? no, obviously not. this is still a pretty small and poorly funded production, so there was nothing insane. but the cast did great, i mean the side "couple" were great as well, though i do wish we got to see them more. seonjae DID pmo for like the entire show, but i'm just choosing to ignore that because i had such a good time watching this show. 10/10 fluff, watch for a good time.Was this review helpful to you?

+I enjoyed the acting the most, though the plot is a little disoriented and maybe they got close to quickly?+I wish it was a slow burn or at least feel like they're taking things slow:]
+I like how visually appealing the mc is, the way Dongha expresses his emotions, great actor:P
+I wanted a little more depth with the relationship between Seonjae and Juwon because it didn't feel like there were anything between them, I only caught up about their relationship during ep 6(?) where stuff happened:)

SO cutesy
A show about very cute and fluffy vampires is just what I needed for a boring day. I finished it in one watch which I'm sad about but nothing more to expect from a Korean BL. Soft BLs are perfect I swear, and this one did not dissapoint. I haven't seen a vampire Korean BL ever since jiwoong got out of the acting industry so this brought back a lot of feelings. Honestly missed vampire BLs and this one did it for me!! I like how they portrayed the vampire ML not wanting to hurt the other ML due to his vampire desires, though, it would've been way better it was extended a little. But like the average KBL, that wasn't gonna happen... Anyway, they were cute and soft and I totally recommend!!Was this review helpful to you?

they had the potential to be a GOOD vampire bl, the casting is great, they have chemistry and their acting is pretty good, even if the budget is not too high, the scenes look really good. If this series had been longer, we could have seen more about their stories bc here they only focus in their romance and feels completely rushed with some stuff unresolved. My most favourite KBL ~
Now this is by far, the best KBL I've ever watched.Not because it has the best story, nor because it's somehow without flaws.
But because this the most natural BL I've ever seen.
Let me break this down...
First: Acting...
The two leads were very natural, no weird pauses between scenes, no unnecessary long shots of silence or stares for so long, not a single moment of boredom.
Vampire concept didn't feel cringe at all, ML didn't have a weird teeth baring, nor have unnatural funny fangs, instead i could see the struggle in his eyes naturally and without any second hand embarrassment 😂 my favourite scenes are the one when he faced blood, I believed he was a real vamp.
Chemistry was nice, for a low budget short BL they picked good actors and they did a great job, I can see potential for them to grow and be lead actors for proper dramas with proper script.
Second: story...
While the whole idea is repetitive and the whole hate-to-love genre is not original at all, with vampires falling for their preys plot, it's quite nice.
I love everything about vamps and gothic horror characters, so I watch anything related to it even while knowing it'd be bad, but this was light and relaxing to watch, also hats off for the director whoever he/she is, because this was perfectly put together.
If you like simple stories that doesn't make you use your brains that much and is ok with the concept just go watch this right now because it's this good.
Third: characters..
They are all very nice and lovely, not a single bad character and none of the actors was bad in his role, side characters were cute and did great.
Now I have to mention the flaws too because this isn't a perfect drama despite giving it a very high rate
1-Plot is very lame, now I know I just said I loved it but there is literally nothing going on which can be 2 edged sword, so it need a specific mood or for specific people who want to watch something light, if not you won't enjoy it.
2- story not fleshed out well, I believe these is more to show but they just showed us the romance, what is the characters background? How are they vamps? Are they brothers? What about the synthetic blood thing? ... Too many things that was skipped.
3- end was abrupt, nothing about the future of the two leads, they got together and what? How will the vamp survive? Did the blood thing work? How will they manage?
4- why everyone has to be gay in BL? Now this is in all BLs lol and it's quite stupid question, I know, but I sometimes miss seeing normal couples in BLs, instead it's like if it's a BL then It's gay people in gay world, having straight people here would be more natural, believe me~
Long story short ... For a light romcom BL this is perfect, for a proper drama this lacks a lot, but compared to other BLs,, this is easily one of the best~~

Fucking too short
I always wanted full fledge bl series from korea like we get from Thailand or japan. Korea is very conservative so Bl creators may not get the funding to make proper Bl series but they can approach OTT platform like Netflix, Disney and many other international platforms for finding. If we see this drama has full potential to be a proper series like Revenged love or Reset. I can go on and on about this drama. Vampire drama are not my cup of tea but i did watch twilight saga. Even though most of them are new actors damn their acting is so good. And as part of LGB we always like the drama which have good looking actors. I mean look at them all of them look fucking good. Their beauty carry 25% for the popularity of drama. Rest is story, acting, cute moments. Best bl drama from korea in 2025. Fang-tastic Chemistry and Bite-sized Charm
Attractive actors playing adorable characters make this drama a visual feast. It’s cute, lighthearted, and charming — perfect for a relaxing day off. The story is short and not particularly deep, which makes it ideal for a quick binge-watch. The kiss scenes may be few, but they’re beautifully executed and framed with genuine emotion.The story felt surprisingly fresh. At first, I wasn’t sure whether the vampires would actually prey on their new flatmate, but fortunately, it turned into an unlikely friendship. This is a tale of vampires who have adapted to modern life, learning to coexist peacefully with humans by finding alternative ways to survive without bloodshed. I especially liked the tension between the two leads — the subtle glances, the close-up shots, and the restrained chemistry all worked together beautifully. The kiss felt real and didn’t look awkward or forced. When Lee Ju Won sacrificed being with Han Dong Ha to protect him, the longing when Ju Won cried and said “I miss him” also felt genuine.
The cinematography, lighting, and overall aesthetic were excellent; the production team definitely made the most of the 4K format. However, the beach trip scene felt a bit questionable for vampires out under the sun — a small detail that could’ve used more explanation. Still, the background music and light comedic sound effects complemented the tone well, and the added touches of humor were genuinely appreciated.
I’d recommend My Secret Vampire to fans of wholesome, “fluffy” BL dramas. There are no explicit scenes, which suits the genre’s softer tone perfectly. While the story isn’t complex or emotionally heavy, that simplicity is part of its charm. I personally gave it a 10/10 — not because it’s deep or groundbreaking, but because it succeeds at being exactly what it aims to be: a fun, visually appealing, and heartwarming watch. If a second season ever happens, I’d love to see more exploration of the vampire world and how the main couple continues to navigate a relationship filled with both tenderness and danger.

Cutest Vampire Drama to Exist
Now, this may not be the deepest vampire drama you've ever watched, but omg will the cuteness take your breathe away. I love how the romance is exaggerated to the max like other kdramas and thai bls, the romance is natural, no need for double shots or slow zoom ins, it is pure natural romance. It is so refreshing to see a kiss scene that doesn't have loud ass music, slow zoom ins, different shots, it is all just as is. And this makes it feel so damn pure. I feel like they couldve went really deep with this, theres so much I am wondering plot wise, it didn't give me enough information in the plot, but it's nice. Instead of focusing so heavy on the vampire part, it was more emotional and learning to let yourself have nice things and being honest about your feelings. I was so happy that their small separation wasn't drawn out of blown out of proportion, he went to visit him, he apologized and was honest about his feelings, the main character forgave him, and they bonded again. No drawn out misunderstanding crap, no bullshit. Just conflict with swift resolution, as it should be. Lets all be honest though, they could have made this into an actually full out show with 45 minutes and 12/16 episodes, because there is so much left to be unexplored here.Was this review helpful to you?

Shallow cute fluff
Came here for the laughs, got sucked into what I thought had heartwrenching potential. For those who may have encountered the webtoon before this live-action adaptation, please leave your expectations at the door. Only the main characters were adapted. I really couldn't ask for much, considering the short runtime. Still, I stayed because Juwon and Dongha had great chemistry.
