Setup with tension already built in

The story doesn’t waste time explaining too much and instead throws you into Arisa’s mindset quickly. You can already sense she’s here for revenge, even when she’s calm on the outside. Her first connection with Lalin immediately feels like a setup for something complicated later on.

Simple but effective

The first episode is pretty straightforward, but it works. It sets everything up clearly without trying to do too much. The dialogue feels natural from the start.

Hooked Me In

Not gonna lie, I was curious but not fully convinced at first, but this episode did its job. The setup is clear and there’s already enough tension to keep you watching. The ending definitely helped.

Strong first impressions

The acting stood out to me right away. Even with limited background at the start, you can already get a sense of who Arisa is. The first interactions feel a bit tense in a good way.

Five Stars

Everything about this is perfect, but especially the cinematography. The acting is on point, too. It's a very good introduction to the story that is to unfold.

A Stunning Start to a Must-Watch Series

Episode 1 of Broken (Of) Love is an incredible introduction to a series that promises depth, emotion, and unforgettable moments. From the very first scene, the storytelling grabs you, balancing intrigue, tension, and romance flawlessly. Faye Peraya shines as Alisa, delivering a nuanced performance that captures both vulnerability and strength. Atom complements her perfectly, and their chemistry feels genuine, making every interaction between them compelling and heartfelt. The cinematography is gorgeous, giving each scene a cinematic feel that enhances the drama and the emotional impact. The soundtrack also deserves a special mention!! It perfectly underscores the mood without ever feeling overbearing. Even the supporting cast impresses, bringing life and depth to the world of the show. Every character feels purposeful and adds layers to the story, making it easy to get invested in their journeys. Overall, Episode 1 sets the bar incredibly high. It’s engaging, beautifully produced, and emotionally resonant! A fantastic start to a series that’s sure to keep viewers hooked.

Strong start with powerful chemistry!

Episode 1 was a very strong opening. It immediately pulled me in with its emotional tone and interesting storyline. The introduction of the characters felt natural, and you could already sense the connection between them from the very beginning. The chemistry between the leads is undeniable. Even in the smallest interactions, there’s tension and meaning, which makes you want to keep watching. It didn’t feel rushed, and the pacing allowed us to understand their personalities and dynamics properly. The visuals and atmosphere were also really nice, adding more depth to the story. Everything felt well put together for a first episode.Overall, a perfect start. If this is how it begins, I’m excited to see how much better it will get.

Good Start but rushed

I have to admit, Episode 1 left me feeling pretty cold and disconnected, which is a shame because the production quality is clearly very high and the overall plot looks genuinely interesting. My biggest issue is how rushed everything felt. They glossed over the couple’s first time, how they fell in love, and the entire beginning of their relationship with just a quick little montage. For my personal taste, that was a huge miss. I really wish the show had taken at least 2-3 episodes to properly establish the couple so we could actually connect with them and feel invested in their bond. Instead, it felt like we were supposed to instantly care about their relationship without ever being shown why.The same problem hit with the big daughter reveal in Episode 1. They dropped it as this massive moment right away, but without any real buildup or time to get to know the characters, it just fell completely flat. There was no emotional weight—no heartbreak, no sense of betrayal, nothing. I kept thinking: why not wait until the end of Episode 2 at least, so the audience has time to connect with these people before hitting them with something that heavy? The series also feels very different from the first trailer. After watching, it almost seems like a completely different show. Usually a scene like the one at the ending would leave me with a terrible feeling in my stomach and goosebumps, but instead I just felt… nothing. I couldn’t connect with the characters because everything was rushed so much. That said, I’m still curious to see more. The plot itself seems promising, and I really hope Episode 2 slows down a bit and makes up for the pacing issues in the premiere. It’s not a bad series by any means — it’s high quality — but right now the story execution and emotional connection to the audience are lacking. We’re being asked to feel things without being properly shown why we should care.

a lot of plot but they're trying to establish the plotline quick so i get it

It was kinda of a lot details at once but i think now that's out of the way next eps should be easier to follow.I feel like they're doing too much for the cinematography idk some scenes have way too many shots and angles and the music editing is bit a lot idk. i think i just got over stimulated but ig they're going for action. still i feel like cuts between scenes could be smoother and better.i feel like they were trying to tell us a lot of things about the plot it ended up like a lot, like it was one scene after another of direct info rather than something being told naturally.if FElt like they wanted us to know a lot at once idk basically what im trying to say it didn't feel very natural.I bet next episodes will be better now that the main plot is established.

Really strong first episode.

The production quality stands out immediately, and the tone feels more refined than expected. Faye delivers as always, but Atom was a real surprise. Their chemistry feels very natural, and the soundtrack elevates everything. Excited to see where this goes.

Work Of Art

After rewatching multiple times already, I still feel excited.
The cinematography is so gorgeous and eye catching.
The acting is top notch, and the storyline easy to follow.
Fast paced and no fillers. The quality of this work felt like watching a film and not a series
Highly recommended

We’re Seated… But We Have Notes 👀

Broken of Love EP1 came in cinematic, bold, and already a little messy (in a good way). Atom is holding her own, Faye is doing what Faye does, and that tension? We see it… we just need it to hit a little harder. Also—someone explain the pacing (and the bathroom scene??). We’re intrigued, slightly side-eyeing, and absolutely watching. Episodio intenso

SUPERB ACTING, CASTING, CINEMATOGRAPHY, MUSIC/SIUND SCORING, PRODUCTION

Ep. 1 - “Before It Breaks” has introduced each important character and laid out the foundation of the series. The pacing of the story is just right even if the EP included a lot and already covered the bases. The acting is really superb! Both Faye and Atom, playing as Arisa and Lyla/Lalin respectively, really did a splendid job. Their chemistry is through the roof and their acting skills are just top notch and felt so natural. The rest of the cast are also amazing! As for the cinematography and production, I felt like I was watching a Hollywood/Blockbuster movie by the quality of this series. It’s truly amazing! Let’s not forget about their musical/sound scoring and the Original Sound Track sang by their own actresses (in EP. 1 the OST is sang by Faye and more OSTs to come in the next episodes!). The scoring was timed and placed perfectly, not too much and definitely not lacking, just the right amount that adds to the depth and intensity of the scenes being played.Overall, EP. 1 for Broken (Of) Love is a great base to kick off this series. It leaves you wanting to rewatch the episode again and again, and also already craving for the next episode because you’d want to know what’s next. There was tensions, suspense, drama and definitely romance in this episode with a sprinkle of just the right amount and timing of comedy. I loved it! Can’t wait for EP. 2 next Saturday!
