Another series that feels a bit different — and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
It’s nice to step outside the usual patterns and watch something that brings a slightly new feeling. This one did that for me, and I appreciated it.

It honestly felt like the final episode was rushed and a bit incomplete. The pacing didn’t match the emotional weight the story had been building up to. There were moments that clearly needed more breathing room—especially toward the end—but instead, the scenes were cut abruptly, almost like something important was trimmed out.

The biggest issue is that the entire narrative hinges on that final scene, and yet it doesn’t get the depth or clarity it deserves. Rather than fully exploring the characters’ emotions or resolving the tension properly, it jumps too quickly, leaving things feeling underdeveloped and slightly confusing.

Even for a short drama, it wouldn’t have hurt to slow down just a little and give the audience a more satisfying conclusion. A few extra minutes of explanation or emotional closure could have made a huge difference.

Overall, it’s disappointing because the story had potential, but the ending undermines it. Instead of feeling impactful, it comes across as rushed and incomplete—which, unfortunately, reinforces the frustration some viewers have with how Korean BL dramas handle their finales.

Not the ending you think it is

There’s a deeper meaning to the ending or that is how I personally see it. Lee woojin is still dead regardless of the timeline, it’s like a canon event. You may think he’s alive but he’s actually not. In ep 7 towards the end woojin says “reminisce you in your art” thinking of hyeseong, when hyeseong told him that he’s going abroad to pursue his studies. I think the last scene in ep 8 is hyeseong’s way of remembering his late lover through the pebble he gave him that has a basketball drawing on it. We see hyeseong wearing white and woojin wearing a black coat, that in on itself says a lot and the main leads didn’t even get to touch each other, this maybe a sign of hyeseong’s delusion and desperation to see/remember his late lover in his own way.

What I Liked
- different situation where time travel happened
- protagonist had a believable amount of disbelief, then acceptance
- flirty protagonist
- how a character acted on the information he had and when he gained new information he changed his actions realistically

Room For Improvement
- a character punched another character (which seemed like an overreaction) and then suddenly all was fine and dandy, a few nonsense things happened
- there were aspects of world building that they never explained
