Both Story are about Wen Xu travels to Hong Kong Island to relax and unexpectedly meets Zhou Lie, the owner of a local inn. They agree to a three-month romance that gradually turns into genuine love. When Wen Xu must return early because of a friend’s misfortune, Zhou Lie who fallen for her chased her to get his love back.
Both of the stories depicts the same kind of vibe. FL went to an island/town to spend a vacation. Met a charming ML who owns an Inn (Love at First Sight)/Tattoo shop (The Crush). ML on both stories have past issues of people leaving them in the town/island, also they have striving careers in the city but chose to stay in the town. Both FL also have issues in their lives/careers pushing them to take a vacation.
Both of these dramas have great cinematography, bgm music and acting. Characters have great chemistry. But I would say, The crush is a lighter version of Love at First Sight

Both Love at First Sight (2025) and Summer Waves and You tell gentle, romance-driven stories that begin with chance encounters in calm, seaside settings and slowly unfold into emotional connections. In Love at First Sight, the story leans into a more mature romance, where two people meet during a transitional phase in their lives and enter a relationship that starts lightly but gradually deepens as they confront personal wounds, responsibilities, and emotional vulnerability. Summer Waves and You, on the other hand, centers more on youthful longing and idealized attraction, following a protagonist who becomes drawn to a neighbor and imagines the possibilities of love amid the warmth of summer. Despite the difference in emotional maturity, both stories emphasize how fleeting moments, proximity, and quiet companionship can spark meaningful relationships, using the seaside atmosphere as a metaphor for healing, hope, and emotional awakening rather than dramatic conflict.
