Chef's Kiss - Great storyline, Great actors
This was so nicely done. Try not to watch on yt and look for a link with the bgm as the songs play such an important role in setting the tone. They totally set the scenes and is so well thought out down to the lyrics. I heard that the novel uses cantonese songs for the chapters, it's so fitting.Also, He Jian Qi is great in his role. I know he speaks Cantonese as he is from GD but he gets the HK style nuances and characteristics across great. Wang Ge Ge is of course perfect as always in her roles. Their chemistry is amazing here.
Grandma is also super cute!

Well-executed Hong Kong Style drama.
I quite enjoy He Jianqi and Wang Gege first collaboration so i decided to watch this. I was amazed with meticulous Hong Kong style cinematography and decent Cantonese accent (He Jianqi is from Guangdong so it no wonder but hats off to Wang Gege).I watch and compared it to Zhao Zhendong version and i still choose this version the plot, chemistry, and supporting role are more advance in many way. It was pleasing to watch for art and plot.

Beautiful story , great actors absolutely love this one
Love at first sight, well I just can say I loved everything about this drama , this is on a whole another level.. you can see and feel how they develop their feelings and how they both grow. I think it is perfect that we can hear their both thaughts not just from the Fl.. Well written and it is very poemic. It is also great to hear HJQ speaking canto. Ok I love everything about this Drama 😅FL - Wang Gege is my absolute fav , and here she did a really great job. Her charater is really well witten , she is confindent , funny and capable , she plays it natural .
ML- I love this guy , the way he looks at her -amazing. You can see why he is scared, but the things he is doing for her sooo sweet.
Support roles -well done , and I like the end for her best friend , the granny and the dad I love them <3
I loved it also that the "bad guys" get their punishment.
The scenery is until the middle great and has beautiful moments , later it is just a great drama.
I watched also the version with ZZD , it is also very good but it is a little bit another wibe , this one was more detailed .
Overall you should watch both versions bc even if the same Idea you don't feel it so much .

It a relaxed paced, sweet romance drama that has a vibe a lot like the 2018 K-drama "Encounter." It's everything a drama should be. With the slower pacing, it doesn't feel like a short (which often send you on a whirlwind of plot ridiculousness trying to be exciting.) This drama is unapologetically mellow, and all the better for it. It leaves you feeling warm and satisfied.Was this review helpful to you?
