Good Chemistry, Terrible Pacing

The third episode of *Merry Berry Love* suffers from terrible pacing and an almost complete absence of comedy.The chemistry between Ji Chang-wook and Mio Imada is good, I won't deny that. But the episode turns into an endless series of conversations between the two. I understand that they need to get to know each other before falling in love, but narratively, it's incredibly boring.Wouldn't it be much more interesting if they got to know each other and fell in love through genuinely funny situations?By focusing almost the entire episode on the main couple, the screenwriters waste the supporting characters and, along with them, the opportunity to take advantage of the precise, clever, and effective Japanese comedy that could elevate the story and, at the very least, make us want to watch the next episode.Instead, we get flirting, childish arguments, and increasingly predictable romantic situations.**Good chemistry between two actors isn't enough to sustain a romantic comedy when the screenplay forgets to deliver the comedy.**And at the rate these two are going, they'll be married by episode five, have children by episode six, and be fighting Godzilla by episode ten.
