A marriage based on mutual benefit binds the composed lawyer Wen Xi and the business tycoon Shang Chen together. She sees marriage as the most suitable "cooperation," while he issues his care like a procedural command. However, the process spirals out of control as they begin living together in the master bedroom—he inquires about her clothing and comfort, openly supports her at her homecoming banquet, and even seriously studies "marital dynamics" because of her comment about not being used to it. When the rational queen meets the reserved tycoon, they gradually break down their defenses amidst testing and protection. This meticulously calculated partnership has already subtly changed with each act of favoritism and attraction, heading towards an unexpected and profound affection. Reviews
Decent Wen Xi-Shang Chen version
I was watching this drama last year and i really eager to make a review since i quite obsessed with Wen Xi and Shang Chen version.Zhang Yilun nailed the realistic CEO; his cold expression is quite intimidating and his acting was not overly excessive. Personally i am not really fond of Wang Yujing acting but she slightly better in this drama but need to level up her acting skill. The chemistry is quite decent to watch.
The first half is somewhat similar to the third version, with many inner monologues, but it feels much more natural than the third version. The monologues contrast sharply with her outward actions, vividly portraying a cold-faced but warm-hearted character, thus highlighting the significance of the monologues. The scenes showcasing her strength are fully preserved: confronting her adoptive mother (without crying), confronting the professor, confronting the Zhou family, confronting her colleagues—a strong woman's image is fully presented.
The costumes, makeup, and props show that this is the limit of a low-budget production. There are plenty of kissing scenes filmed beautifully with a good atmosphere. The dialogue is fast-paced. The original voice acting and the lead actors' performances are also good, making for a very enjoyable viewing experience. The only drawback is the limited screen time for supporting characters, making the overall drama feel somewhat thin.
The biggest letdown on this version is older brother is completely unacceptable in every terms; his looks, dialogue, acting, and charisma are all lacking. Although his role is small, it's quite important for the story.
Although the supporting characters and family relationships were significantly cut, and the romance between the ML and FL was accelerated, the overall viewing experience is quite good.
Even this drama is not best adaptation you still need to watch this.
Achei o drama bem maduro no geral.
