Inappropriate Jokes
I had to drop it. It’s a cute BL but the need to make trans women jokes isn’t cute to me. Yes Alie Blackcobra and the other woman decided to take the role people have to eat and survive but the screenwriter should have done a better job with those women. I know too many Thai trans people who would not find the script funny and in 2026 there as no excuses when other BL and lakorn that have trans actresses aren’t going as far as this BL did in terms of making their script transphobic and trans women the comedic trope.Was this review helpful to you?

Something something idols falling in love
The only reason I finished this show was because Dome is one of the most beautiful people I've seen. Endlessly charming, sweet, a ray of sunshine who tries his best to uplift others. Jeng is a great idea for a character. It's a shame everything else was such a mess. Where do I even begin???The acting....... I think some of these people have talent, at least among the main cast. I suspect the direction was off for a major portion of the show. Some of the kissing and sex scenes are among the worst I've witnessed. There's one specific sex scene that comes right out of the blue and is clumsy, poorly directed and doesn't make a lick of sense. Sometimes things happen in dramas that make you go "hmm, that's odd", but then you accept it because the acting, lighting, or VIBE sells it. That doesn't happen here. It just falls flat and you feel bad for the cast.
Story? Haha. Boy. I don't even feel like summing it up. It's a bunch of people doing vague things to make a hit song. Sometimes they practice dancing. Sometimes they go to the mall and shop for clothes. Sometimes they try to be funny.
Yeah, this drama tried really hard to be funny. They made a joke about suicide and things quickly went downhill from there. Tone deaf jokes about trans women. Comic relief where it was not needed. Sound effects. Y'all you should be laughing!!! Please laugh!!
Also the way everything ended was super abrupt and strange. Five episodes??? I mean, it's not like I wanted to watch any more of them, but really?
Anyway yeah. I will follow Dome's career with great interest. But this was a dud.

utterly awful...
It's again time to drop a title... because while I have a hard skin, I can't watch this. The story is extremely weak but the acting is atrocious. This should have been an over the top comedy I guess... but even with skipping scenes I can't let go through the 2nd episode. While the first few minutes let you imagine it's a cheap imitation of Gelboys, it is nothing of the sort. Just the intro resembles it with a cute face in it, but every other actor does not stand out a bit.While I hoped the Thai BL slump ended with June, this is a new low. A complete waste of time and money.

Okay, ALOT of mistakes were made with this series.1. The actors are not attractive or talented enough to be Idols.
2. None of the cast seemed very experienced in acting or was purposely doing a poor job. It was just not enjoyable even if it was meant to be OTT.
3. There was NO chemistry between any of the couples. There was less attraction between someone starting to make out with a random person.
4. I don't think anything was resolved, it never showed the group making it big. Just running around chasing after the other person, vague arguing, them bam kissing. But no resolution.
It left me feeling empty and regretting spending the time watching it. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Story was ok but the ending pissed me off.... the acting wasn't that great but the couples was cute needed more episodes .I needed more of the other couples & more back story on all the guys.
I was a cute show but i need more episodes & a more flushed out story line , like we don't see what happens next. Does everything work out ? do they combined companies permanently?

Sad let down
I dropped this after trying to finish Episode 4 because it simply wasn't working for me. The series mistakes random Gen Z "brain rot" humor for actual comedy, relying on absurdity instead of clever writing. The script lacks originality, the acting leans too heavily on loud, exaggerated reactions, and the romance never gave me a reason to care. Worst of all, the repeated jokes about trans women felt lazy and unnecessary rather than funny. This had potential, but poor execution held it back at every turn.Was this review helpful to you?

Lost in execution and imitation
Was this series supposed to be cheap imitation of Gelboys? Because it does looks so. The only good thing is this drama is that it did captured the whole gist and ideology of GenZ. From being daring to be diff and pursue dream to highlighting that how in today's generation luxury items like Gucci pants and fast life interactions are part of life. This is real based scenario we see commonly with GenZ and GenAplha.What I would say this drama is completely based on the idea of brain rot and GenZ core idea of humour " if it doesn't make sense then it's a good joke". So if you are seeking depth and logic here, u will be highly disappointed.
This drama was supposed to be comedy drama with touch of romance. But the problem is bad execution. The script was very generic plus it lacks any funny or out of box comedic lines so all the burden to make this drama work lands on the actors. But that is also soo bad and cringe. Having loud and exaggerated expressions doesn't make the scene funny. I mean there could be one or two scenes that actually make one laugh or smile but sadly it failed to do so for me. Even if this series was meant to show the journey and issues one face when starting from nothing to giving auditions to have a band and then disband then trying to get up and go on with the dream but the attempt to make it as comedy series didn't let me feel connected to any characters.
Overall, this series logic and execution is even worse than 67 joke in GenZ. So watch only if you want to watch BS or get the feeling of brain rot and if you have an attention span of 30sec insta reel.

I wasn't expecting an idol-themed BL, but the first episode was surprisingly fun.The story follows Jen, the leader of a failed idol group who refuses to give up on his dream. Instead of accepting defeat, he begins searching for new members. The people he finds couldn't be more different from one another—an aerobics instructor, a boat-racing commentator, a volunteer rescue worker, and others with unusual backgrounds.
Watching these mismatched characters slowly come together gives the drama a lighthearted, feel-good atmosphere. It reminded me a little of The Bremen Town Musicians, with each member bringing a unique personality to the group.
There's also a handsome young man who seems to have known Jen for a long time, hinting that a romance may gradually develop alongside the group's journey.
If you're looking for an intense romance from the beginning, this may not be it. But if you enjoy stories about chasing dreams, friendship, teamwork, and a cheerful ensemble cast, this series is definitely worth checking out.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this "instant idol group" grows together.
It's also interesting to see this project created by Tonnam Piamchon Damrongsunthornchai, a familiar face to many Thai BL fans. After appearing in numerous supporting roles over the years, it's nice to see him bringing his own story to the screen.

Simplesmente chato
Não tenho muita coisa pra falar além de: muito chato. Definitivamente um dos dramas mais chatos que eu já assisti na vida e esses cinco episódios parecem que não vão. acabar nunca.Achei a estética bonita e me lembrou um pouco a de gelboys, então fui com um brilho nos olhos assistir esse drama.
A sinopse é estranha e não promete muita coisa, mas o drama realmente não entrega nada.
Além de a história não ser lá essas coisas, os personagens e os casais não me cativaram, o humor também não me convenceu.

Ideia interessante, mas faltou luz
Em Lost to Light vamos acompanhar os desafios que Jeng, líder e último integrante restante de seu grupo que acaba se desfazendo devido as adversidades que enfrentam enquanto tentam debutar. Com isso Jeng precisa encontrar novos membros para o grupo, para que então seu sonho possa se realizar e no meio disso ele acaba conhecendo o guitarrista Mai, que acaba aceitando entrar para o grupo onde ele e Jeng vão se aproximar e se apaixonar.Eu gosto da proposta do bl que envolve o cenário do T-pop, foi isso que me chamou a atenção inclusive para assistir a série, então temos algumas referências do mundinho T-pop através de músicas como a do proxie, da alie blackcobra (que inclusive também participa aqui mas atuando e não como ela mesma), as entrevistas que ocorrem no flex 104.5 onde muitos artistas do tpop vão, random dance, a entrevista imaginária no podcast do 4million que também é bastante conhecido por lá, e também a referência direta a gravadora kemikeze pois eles utilizam o nome de kamikeme usando a mesma fonte gráfica inclusive.
A parte do romance que deixa a desejar mas também o que fazer com 5 episódios? Eles tentaram mas eu não sinto afeto pelo casal principal e nem pelo secundário, não houve tempo suficiente para isso, existe uma falta de química, tanto que na cena NC do casal secundário eu só conseguir ficar chocado pois você sente que foi gratuita aquela cena, mas para quem gosta não é uma cena ruim, mas é chocante o quanto eles usam a LÍNGUA nesse beijo e como ficam brincando com a língua nessa NC, os dois personagens do casal secundário.
No geral é uma série bem ok pra menos, tem seus momentos engraçados mas também alguns momentos que fica a dúvida se é a tradução do site ou o roteiro onde tem umas piadas que é meio estranha. É uma série que você assiste e fica pra trás, não marca, ainda mais que estou escrevendo isso 15 dias após de ter assistido ao final, hoje eu diminuiria mais a nota pois a história poderia ser melhor desenvolvida
