PLEASE SUPPORT WHEN YOU CAN!
I was so lucky to be able to see this film in cinemas. I watched Marry My Dead Body right before this film so I had a good foundation. This remake gave a good Thai spin but I felt like it copied too much from the OG. I also wish think Titi’s boyfriend should not have been straight in this. Aside from that I feel like BKPP did great in this queer film and gave it new life and in some ways made it more queer. The entire OST was also amazing and I loved seeing so many Thai references. A MUST WATCH!Was this review helpful to you?

Fresh Story
Thailand is continuing their venture into talking about the Thai entertainment industry with a dash of politics and this was an enjoyable experience. I know folks watched this for Phuwin but I decided to watch because I knew the other cast in this series and they didn’t disappoint. Seeing Mabelz act outside of her girl group PiXXiE was such a treat! Her character was stressing me out every episode but it shows how good of an actress she is. I also enjoyed seeing Tony in this series because I’m familiar with his films. I expected him to do well but his character didn’t stick out to me until closer to the end of the series when we had more of a focus on him and the dark side of the BL industry and I enjoyed that. Charlette is someone I’m unfamiliar with but I enjoyed her role in this especially concerning activism and the dangers of it. Her series with Engfa and Goy has been on my list and this introduction to her makes me want to see it sooner rather than later. Phuwin also did so well in this. I’ve never seen him out of GMMTV so I came in not knowing what to expect and was surprised. I want to see his Netflix series also sooner than later. Boom who sung the OST for this series also did well. I’ve been familiar with his music and covers for a while but I enjoyed seeing his acting. Obey also did well. I’m still reflecting on his character especially knowing he’s a cis man. I don’t see his character Tokyo as a trans woman but more so someone who is naturally feminine but was pushed by society into a role they didn’t really want. I’m glad that Tokyo was approached this way or I wouldn’t have been comfortable watching that storyline since Obey isn’t a woman. Speaking of the trans community I really enjoyed seeing Alie Blackcobra and Paper make appearances in this as well as the rest of the community. I think that was also something that drew me in since I can tell they at least were trying compared to other Thai series I’m seen even BLs and GLs. I feel like one of the best characters was Noon who played Phuwin’s stepmum. If you know Thai entertainment you know she starred in things like the Thai classic Dear Dakanda and her performance was so good. By the end I was captivated. Overall this was a great series from the acting to the characters to the OST and cinematography and I loved that this was a teen show that tackled issues but also was something teens could watch. I hope this is the start of a good change in Thai entertainment. Bravo to the cast and crew and entertainers in this. It was amazing! Was this review helpful to you?

The Perfect HS BL
This was such a great feel good series. I’m really going to miss it. The entire cast did so well and I hope that we’ll see more series with them in any form. The cinematography was so good and the acting was pretty good especially from a lot of cast that are new in the industry. This BL was also great for all ages and the storylines were universal. I saw my younger self in so many of the storylines. I really think HS BL like this is so important and it really sucks that we don’t get many HS BL anymore when the genre is literally called boys love. I’m so thankful to GMMTV for continuing to give us family friendly HS series here and there so the youth can also watch BL and GL.Was this review helpful to you?

MUST WATCH!
This film was so fun and had an all star cast. Ter, Thanaerng, and Natty are big names in the industry with so much experience and this deserves a higher rating. I know it’s lower besides Daou fans expected more of him and wanted more of a BL but you’re not going to get that. What you’re going to get is a comedy horror that will have you laughing and understanding Thai references if you know stuff outside of BL. I recommend everyone to watch and support Ter and Thanaerng! They were in Nadao before it revamped and their acting was so good in this! Was this review helpful to you?

MUST WATCH
This movie definitely deserves a higher rating and I hope it'll get one as more folks watch it even though this isn't a BL. The whole cast did spectacular, the production was beautiful, and this really left you thinking by the end. I watched just because I know War can act and now I'm interested in the other cast. Hope we see War do other things outside BL that challenges him more. We also must applaud Chapavich Temnitikul for doing the entire OST for this that is available to stream. Things like this really shows how much care they put into this release. Was this review helpful to you?

Breathtaking Cinematography
Similar to masterpieces like ITSAY, the Paradise of Thorns, and GELBOYS which Boss Kuno has specifically said aren’t a BL I don’t know if I would label this a BL too since this was just a simple story of two gay men in a coming of age mini series. I enjoyed the cinematography of this and what set this apart from a BL was that it was free of tropes and very realistic. Especially the scenes with homophobic roommates. I was able to keep up with the story but I think I marked it down a little bit because the subs were way too tiny. I’m sure if I watched it elsewhere it would’ve been bigger but I wanted to support the actual channel. Overall an amazing series and I hope we see more like this. Was this review helpful to you?

Very Unique Story
I really enjoyed this BL. Many didn’t like that it lacked romance but I’d say the opposite. SunPeace’s love was shown throughout the BL and you don’t go rescue someone and risk your life for someone you don’t love. With everything airing right now if folks want a complete romance it’s out there for them. The plot really stuck with me and I liked how it went over things such as drugs, violence, gangs, and even the GL plot was executed really well. What made this great is that it focused on the plot. On the lives of all of the characters and the decisions they had to make to survive poverty. Trying to add too much romance to it wouldn’t make this as believable to me. I really like how things were set up for season 2 and we know Kong is alive but I want to know how that will affect SunPeace since that’s who I stand with. I really hope this doesn’t get shelved. They can take their time on this as long as we get quality like with this season. The cast did so well and the action really had me on the edge of my seat. We don’t really see this in BL executed well and that is one thing I really appreciated about this BL. I recommend folks to watch it with an open mind because to me this is the BL of the year and I pray we get a season 2 equally as good. Also Aim being alive shocked me. The actor Aon is so talented. Lastly one weakness of the show was I’d say the Korean and Thai speaking. I understand it from Si Hyeon but I think they should’ve just made him full Korean and his dad should’ve been Korean. It was weird at times hearing the dad speak and also Si Hyeon speak in Korean and a character reply in Thai when we know realistically that isn’t possible. Maybe English should’ve been used or a better alternative for everyone. Was this review helpful to you?

GDH Did It Again
I really enjoyed this film. I have wanted to see it since I first heard Zom Marie and Billkin sing the OST for this which is a Triumps Kingdom cover (you hear the OG artists throughout the film) and I wish I did sooner. Seeing Tony in his early days pre Taste was cute and Baipor did so well portraying both twins. It was boring at times but in saying that I enjoyed it because it made it more realistic. I think the ending was perfect. Both twins decided to grow up and make their own decisions with their life. Was this review helpful to you?

Great Story on Japanese Youth
I enjoyed the film a lot from Neo. He’s talented like his father Ryuichi Sakamoto. This film brought up a lot of themes that were maybe too huge for two hours but it will make you think. I also wish we had a Zainichi Korean casted in the film even though Yukito found out during or post production he wasn’t full Japanese and his deceased grandmother was Zainichi Korean. I do like how it brought up Zainichi issues and how surveillance isn’t a good thing. A must watch to understand youth nowadays. Was this review helpful to you?

Out of the Box
I really liked this special episode. I tried my best to avoid spoilers pre release on iQIYI and watching it I liked that it wasn’t like your typical special episode. It was an episode just about the length of a standard movie and the quality of production and the story was up to par with previous episodes. One critique of this though I’d say is that if we were going to wait so long for this we should’ve gotten a special YinWar song for this episode. I am unsure of their budget though so I won’t speak much on that because this is out of their pockets.
I liked that unlike normal special episodes this wasn’t fluff and full of happy moments. We still got great acting and action out of the cast. I was also happy to see a little more romance with MarkProm even though I was expecting more. I am still confused on Bonz and Took though.
I was left on the edge of my seat with Joke getting shot and seeing Yin as Jack act out the stages of grief really showed off his acting. I am also very excited that Joke isn’t dead and that we will get hopefully another season. Even if it takes a while I am willing to wait so we can get the ending we deserve. I applaud YinWar for going against the grain with Thai BL and for not being afraid to not give us a happy ending. Though that is what I want I feel like at least for now there is a bigger picture and they are choosing art over what makes people happy and I’m here for the ride.
