Proves how both real and fake these shows are.
You know how sometimes you finish a drama and you wish to see more of certain characters? Or the supporting couple? Or the future of the ghost ship you just adored? This Reunion delivers just that, but for a dating show. The production team clearly knew what was popular and what could sell. Seeing the difference of the length between 3 first episodes consisting of the watch party, we know who the main characters were. Mary Sue is still on her path of self improvement and the special episodes clearly show that the “redemption” arc from the last two episodes of Single’s Inferno was not scripted. It was both funny to watch her reactions, but also slightly sad and uncomfortable. Yes, it was an embarrassment of her own doing, but you still feel bad for the girl.
At the same time these few new episodes show how both fake and real these dating programs are. The couple that was most loved seems not to vibe that much, the couple everyone rooted for and got disappointed with the final result reunites, the couple that seemed more one sided is actually the strongest of them all. All that said, I am truly grateful for how honest the cast was. There was no vague: maybe we are dating, maybe we are not. If things did not work out they talked about it and explained shortly why.
Then we have a “special date” in episode 4 that was full of chemistry and future potential.
I wish the last two episodes were actually longer and that the whole cast would be part of the trip. I understand that there might have been a conflict of scheduling and all that, but for what, one day they could not gather everyone? Really? They played it as if only people who had things left to discuss and figure out were part of it, but let’s get real, there were some with zero real connection and conflict in, and some with complicated feelings out.
Overall, still one of the best after shows of the best season of Single’s Inferno.

MAN how UNDERWHELMING was THAT??!
Season 5 was the most fun, because of the drama that was most likely somewhat scripted or planned ahead of time. Anyways, despite the rumors about why the last two episodes were cut SO MUCH, I still had fun watching this season and the couples... not necessarily because I liked their chemistry but because of the tension and occasional heart-fluttery moments.Right when I was getting bored after it ended, I saw they were going to have a reunion series so I was so excited and I literally flew past all the episodes in one sitting. I was having fun in bed, eating some fruit, only to go like "where's the next episode?" because they really had to end it LIKE THAT??
The couple dynamics were obviously different. We know Sam has a girlfriend, Mina Sue allegedly started a ton of drama towards the last few days on the island which caused production to edit out all of the last game and basically all of the final campfire (both which are pivotal moments to the ending of the 10 days on the island!). The only real couple match who shows potential was Heesun and Subeen, hence the very biased screentime in this spinoff. Not complaining, but the way they edited it was quite off and ended abruptly.
I did like how in the first three episodes, they had the members do solo interviews and they asked questions the audience was actually interested in, like how often they actually met up in real life. And they were honest, like how GoEun said she doesnt see herself with Sungmin irl. But the MT part was just so chaotic I got a migraine. SO much potential!
So while I am VERY disappointed as an avid watcher, I guess I will try to accept the fact that everyone is a normal non-celebrity, so it's important to respect their privacy to some degree. But objectively looking at this as a reality show in a way, the production team definitely could have added a lot more instead of just focusing on one couple 90% of the time, and ending with the most random scene. For real, I had no idea it ended. Give us closure!

we need MORE episodes of this Reunion!
This should have been more than 6 episodes - and that statement alone should suffice in showing how cute and good this reunion/spin-off was.I think Season 5 is my favorite so far. It introduced me to two men I was genuinely glad to see ("Su-Been" and "I-Geon"), purely from a looks perspective, whereas earlier seasons didn’t leave as strong an impression. Plus, the whole storyline of "Su-Been" and "Hee-Sun" was super cute, and it continues here in a much more intense way. From all of this, I genuinely hope it’s not just for the camera - that these two really end up together, and that "I-Geon" establishes himself as a great actor, because he deserves it for both his looks and acting.
So here are my takeaways from the reunion:
➥ I-Geon & Go-Eun
"I-Geon" is super attractive. He showed it again this time with a new look and glasses. You simply cannot look away from his face - he’s literally perfect, charming, and seductive as hell.
But his date with "Go Eun" felt like déjà vu of the swimming pool scene - super scripted. I love seeing more of "I-Geon", but even I could tell that was fake and overdone, added in as a full episode just because the pool scene was iconic. Honestly, I feel they might hook up IRL, but I don’t see them dating long-term. It’s just instinct - two attractive people testing compatibility. But I didn’t feel anything real there.
➥Su-Been & Hee Sun ♥️♥️♥️
"Su-Been" was my first favorite in the show - again, super attractive. His tanned skin is ohlalala for me, plus his mindset. I love that he likes someone who doesn’t waver. I’m like that IRL, so no wonder I loved that about him. And it feels genuine - you can’t fake that much. I hope it’s real, because I really like him as a person.
"Su-Been" and "Hee-Sun" need to be endgame. Like, get married and have a happily ever after. They really make you believe in love. I know it’s still in front of the camera, so I’m a little skeptical, but I’d be very happy to be proven wrong. They’re just so cute together, and I hope they make it in the future. They’re young, and life has ups and downs, but I hope they don’t drift apart - especially since "Hee-Sun" is coming to Korea as an exchange student. Long distance was an issue before, so I hope this works in their favor. I’m waiting for the IG announcement of their wedding someday. I love "Su-Been" as a guy, but I love them together even more. "Hee-Sun" really is like her name - sunshine - and they both look so happy.
➥ Jae-Jin & Joo Young
"Jae-Jin" and "Joo Young" also seem to be together, and that’s another couple I think could do well. They’re both from creative fields, and I hope they’re real and not just for the camera.
➥ The Women Portrayed as Villain
Mina Sue was painted as a villain right from the start from the way she was so indecisive. In her journey, she did hurt people - be it men that were interested in her, or women who had liked those men too. This is a fact, and I don't think it will change. She did apologise for it, and while we know she could be a wonderful person in real life, at least that was her character.
I feel Go Eun was not so different. She did not hurt anyone, but I think to an extent she was indecisive too. It kind of came out in this reunion as they watched the show play out - and one of the man comments that it was neck to neck for all of them. While that can happen since you cannot really call feelings black and white, but then I feel it was not super different from Mina Sue. Except that she was not very loud and in your face or proud/vain about it, it was quiet and mysterious vibe that she had carried out in the show.
I won't call any of them problematic - cause its a show afterall, but then their role/behaviour is problematic, from the lens of a viewer as we also get heightened emotions while watching the show: same like the panelists, I am myself guilty of that - and am sure many others as audience. Which is all fine, given that's what the show wants us to do - get invested.
➥ One-Sided Crush?
"Min-Gee" and "Seung-Il" - sad they didn’t work out. It seemed "Min-Gee" had strong feelings for "Seung-Il", but he didn’t reciprocate. Or maybe "Min-Gee" still liked "Su-Been", and "Seung-Il" sensed that, so he didn’t pursue? We’ll never know. Not surprising, but still sad they ended.
➥ The Support Cast
"Hyeon Woo", "Hyun Jae", "Ye Jin", "Ha-Eun", "Seung-Il" - not much to add. They were just in the background. These shows focus on the most turbulent or dramatic couples, so they didn’t get much airtime. I still wish them luck and hope to see them again, whether in another show or just in life.

REAL-TIME REVIEW in COMMENTS
=============================================================================================
It was a wonderful season, and the reunion made it even better. I only wish there had been more of it. Along the way, I shared my thoughts in real time—little bursts of excitement that captured how the show made me feel in the moment. I’ve gathered those comments here, not as a formal review, but as a memory. They’re a way for me to revisit the energy and joy of watching, since comments often get lost and are hard to track. This isn’t meant for critique or analysis—just a personal keepsake of the experience.

Put Mingee on season 6
I really liked the winter getaway more than the rest of the reunion to be honest, and I loved that the getaway was mainly just Heesun and Subeen. They have such incredible chemistry, and I was so happy to see more of them. I will say it did end very abruptly, like there was supposed to be more and there just isn't. I do wish we got to see a bit more from the people who left together but didn't make it, but I'm glad we got an update of where they were all at during their screenings.I hope Subeen and Heesun as well as Jaejin and Jooyoung stay together!! I know they're all still together as I'm writing this!
Put Mingee on season 6, she deserves better!

Production team must have been very happy to have that much content worth several reunion episodes
This sequel to Single's Inferno Season 5 feature a reunion of the cast members. Three episodes are typical reactions episodes with the cast being splitted into 3 groups according to what was their most relevant storylines. It also provides some answers to the aftermath of the main show. Are the "couples" formed on the island now together ? The remaining episodes features dinner and trip with part of the cast as a last get together, to wrap up the overall experience.Overall, it is very entertaining to watch. As somebody that truly enjoyed the Season 5, I'm very satisfied with the reunion episodes. If I totally expected / hoped the outcome for most of the couples highlighted, I had also so much fun watching the cast react to the episodes. It was cathartic, hilarious but also cringe and awkward, all in the best way.
I would recommend this to people that have enjoyed Season 5 of Single's Inferno. It does not revolution the genre of reunion episodes and the budget is pretty minimalist, but it is also very fun and enjoyable to get back in touch with the participants and to see where the various relationships stand. Some might be disappointed by the outcome, but it was not the case for me. With a bit more of innovation and budget, as well as better organization to make sure everyone of the cast can participate to the full process, it could have been even better.
