K-Drama Ash Episode 1 Reactions
am glad i waited for this to get completed, cause i doubt most of the viewer's that were automatic rabid fans would've love my POV.. 1st two observations, the makeup artist went mad with the guy liner - which when u sweat or exist will bleed & give u raccoon eyes - like it did to Fei Foon in some scenes & if that wasn't enough, why the actor playing Hui get Botox?!? that shinny forehead that wouldn't move was ridiculous & he's only 24 - Why?!?? as is the AI shoved into this was making me roll my eyes. now a main that can't fully emote like WTF ******************************************************************************************& have to say, for the mains to already be f*ck-buddies - they lack sizzling chemistry that matches the plot, their kisses were tepid & the whole aura was off between them - there were some sparks that lead to a big fat nothing IMO - very anticlimactic. & given what an ass-hat Hui turned out to be - where leave f*ck-buddies, he treated Fei Foon like a pocket-p*ssy that he came to use & then tossed aside like used tissue paper & the d*ck that good that Fei Foon wants 2nd's?!???? really??? cause after that ashtray to the head, i would be out for blood & not more d*ck

This reminds me of classic Sir Run Run Shaw movies. Dirty Harry style grittiness. Two handsome leads with great chemistry. How can you go wrong? It’s been a while since there has been a truely HK style BL, maybe Sammy’s Children’s Day is the closest. But the first episode immediately transports me to that wonderful guilty pleasure.

I know that Asia uses AI much more sustainably, and has way more govt regulation in place than the US, but I still hate it! 😡

After watching Episodes 1 and 2, I can confidently say that this drama has exceeded my expectations. You can watch Ash on Youku or YouTube, with Episode 1 available for free. And despite the “Miniseries” tag, this definitely does not feel like a typical miniseries. Episode 1 is around 50 minutes long, while Episode 2 is around 45 minutes, so we are getting a proper full-length viewing experience. And WOW, what an epic premiere! I already had a feeling Ash was going to be good after watching the trailer, but the first two episodes completely sold me. This drama gives us everything in one package: action, crime, romance, police investigations, undercover work, fighting, suspense and intense chemistry. We have Hui Leuk Tou, our CEO, and our undercover police officer, who takes on different identities throughout the story. During his undercover operation, the police officer goes by Cheung Wai Keung, complete with dyed hair and a completely different appearance. Once the operation is over and he returns to his life as a police officer, he takes on the identity of Mok Fei Foon.I LOVE this dynamic because it genuinely feels like we are watching two different versions of the same character. The change in his appearance, personality and circumstances makes him so much more interesting to watch, and I’m really curious to see how these different sides of his character develop as the story continues.
