K-Drama Ash Episode 2 Reactions
the mains r cute (in a toxic kind of way) but idk i just don't buy the hot & heavy chemistry between them - it lacks actual passion IMO & idk why i feel this, no matter what they r doing - especially in so called intimate scenes... also given how Vincent treats Fei Foon, i don't know how much i am rooting for this couple. cause even though - now Vincent knows Fei Foon aint a street thug, i doubt anything will change - yeah he has feelings for him - that's evident & very mutual. but does this mean a healthy, open relationship? from what i saw, i don't think so & it's not cause of either jobs or career path. i don't think Vincent can come out of the closet & be open about his sexual orientation. ***************************************************************************also given the start where we see Fei Foon as an undercover cop i think that was foreshadowing & the new bad guy will be the clumsy loveable newbie in the new department, Fei Foon has joined. i don't think he was brought in just to make Vincent jealous. but time will tell -

The way i see it, they both love each other but Vincent has a problem to commit it publicly and Fei Foon always come back to him, that’s why he thought Fei Foon will always come back to him everytime they had an alternation.

This two leads reminds me of the statement “how do two porcupines have sex? “ The character development of our male leads as they evolve in a tug-of-war relationship is fun to watch and for dominant alpha males, very relatable. What’s great about this series is that there are no waste episodes in creating the relationship, it’s rough and tumble and yet their polar attraction is inevitable. So true of their roles. So many other BL’s from Thailand, Korea and China can learn from this method. I only hope the tension grows…

One of my favourite emotional moments was when the two finally reunited in the alley after being apart and missing each other. I also really enjoyed how the drama plays with perspective. At the end of Episode 1, we experience the events through Hui Leuk Tou’s eyes, while Episode 2 begins by showing the same situation from Mok Fei Foon’s point of view. I thought this was such a clever storytelling choice because it allows us to understand what both men were going through and how they were feeling, rather than simply seeing the story from one side. The flashbacks also add another layer to the story, gradually revealing more about their relationship and providing context for everything that has happened between them.
