Decent and enjoyable (except for the AI parts)
Not a bad series to be honest. I liked how the two leads meet and the set up. The action sequences were good especially with the sister. All the actors did a good job.The only thing that really ruined it for me is the AI use. I don't think it was needed at all. They could have done those flashback scenes very easily but the AI made it look so cheap.
Other than that the story is kind of predictable. There isn't much of a mystery but that's okay because you can still enjoy it. The couple's moments/situations were all engineered so they can be together. It's not bad as such but you know where it is going. I liked all fhe BTS moments with every episode. Seemed like the actors were playing their real personalities on the show as well.
SPOILER HERE: The only thing that was weird was the ending because you have to wonder why the guy was crying so much if his lover was not dead and if he thought his lover was dead, they didn't explain how he came back? Spoiler done.
The OST is decent. I ended up deducting points for the AI use, the ending and some moments that confused me as to what happened. Overall a good watch.

flawed, fascinating and kinda fab
I really enjoyed this. Didn't think I would but it held me, especially after all the fluff that is coming out this month. Just nice to see adults rather than high school twinkies played by older actors in silly tropes. Nobody tripped and fell into love thank God! Is it great? No, but engaging and an odd chemistry between the two leads. Not GMMTV style. They grow into each other and that becomes the earned chemistry. The twist was intriguing. No more needs to be said. The end doesn't quite jive but get why they did it that way.Just saying, give it a chance. It's very short but I think that is to its credit. No filler or fluff here.

Delete the AI, Keep Nie Chuan
The AI is jarring, ugly, and completely unnecessary. Sometimes “telling” really is better than “showing,” because those animated flashbacks are pure cringe.Thankfully, the rest is good enough to survive them. The action is surprisingly decent for the genre, the plot is entertaining enough, and the leads have real chemistry. The kissing is, of course, textbook Chinese.
The problem is that the finale suddenly starts sprinting through material that needed room to breathe. Revelations, confrontations, and emotional beats are piled on top of each other so quickly that the story loses much of the tension it had built up. It doesn’t quite fall apart, but it does feel like the show ran out of episodes before it ran out of plot.
But Orion is doing most of the heavy lifting. He carries the emotional core, most of the chemistry, and basically all of the rizz. He’s the one who makes you care.
Honestly, just give me a cut without the AI.
Also: I’m in love with Nie Chuan. Easily one of my favorite characters of the year

Drama, Action, Romance. Everything I need!
I really enjoyed this show. Ofc, the storyline is nothing new or original but that did not make the show boring or anything. Two men with a shared moment in the past reuniting while one of them is undercover. The two male leads had great chemistry and I enjoyed the dynamics between the characters.I understand why people criticize the show for the use of AI in the Flashbacks. I also would have liked real Flashbacks but at the same time I can understand why they decided not to. In the end, it was only used for one or two scenes, and the majority of time there where real actors, who put a lot of effort in portraying the characters well. So I can accept the usage of AI in two scenes.
The Ending… I get why shows like to use the “oh, the male lead is dead, but in the last scenes he appears again, without any explanation,…happy ending!” plot but in general, I am not a huge fan. I always end up with questions like “how did he not die? What was he doing in the year he was presumed dead?? Why did he not try to contact Nie Chuan before?” Yeahhhh, not a fan of having unanswered questions after a show.
Overall, this show was very enjoyable. It had action, romance and drama, and while it was not long and not the most high quality production, the finished show is definitely worth the watch in my opinion.

I would suggest skipping this one unless you're scraping your TBW bucket. Can't think of even one positive thing to say: low production value, the story made no sense at all, the actors didn't suit the character archetypes and their chemistry was lukewarm at best, the AI-generated flashbacks looked really lame, and even the soundtrack felt out of place. I hope to see more of the cast in other future projects. If you haven't seen the series should most definitely watch it for sure. I'm not gonna give any spoilers but all i'm gonna say is that the series is really good and I'm sad that the show ended.

AI-generated garbage kills what could've been something decent
There's no justification for the amount of AI-generated scenes in this. Not only do they look off-putting and completely break the immersion, but they also look incredibly cheap. There's no world in which they had to make them with AI instead of shooting them with real actors. The story itself is ok at the beginning, but then, the last few episodes feel completely rushed, even though absolutely nothing happens in episode 9 and episode 10 is like 80% flashbacks to other episodes. Nie Chuan backstory is mentioned a bunch of times, but it has no relevance whatsoever in the main story.
I think the actors do a pretty decent job considering what they're working with. They manage to create a good chemistry between the characters despite everything.
Overall , it could've been a fairly decent show, but I guess they decided it would be better to do all this instead.

opposing forces (watch suggestions)
Overall: I liked their dynamic, but the writing fell into cliches with a frustrating ending. 10 episodes about 25 minutes each. Aired on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/@%E8%B5%B4%E6%B5%B7KissOrKill and GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/8746/kiss-or-kill-2026-e01 (not in Japan or Korea)Content Warnngs: past death, child trafficking mentioned, blood, past murders/violence/blood, held against will, beaten up, murders, blood, manipulation, torture, coerced sex (it's complicated)
Watch Suggestions (to take out most content warnings and focus more on the relationship)
- episode 1 watch 13-end
- episode 2 watch 3-6:30, 7:30-13:30, 14:30-end
- episode 3 watch 8-18, 19-20:30
- episode 4 watch 4:15-7:15, 13-15:30, 15:55-end
- episode 5 watch beginning-7:10, 14:45-19:20
- episode 6 watch 11:50-18:20
- episode 7 watch 3:15-4:30, 17-endep
- episode 8 watch beginning-10:20
- skip episode 9
- episode 10 watch 20-end
What I Liked
- tension
- fight sequences
- unique premise
Room For Improvement
- use of ai especially with the flashbacks it made me feel zero emotion
- needed more relationship development and less focus on illegal activities
- noble idiot trope
- poor communication
- the supposed good guy mass murdered a bunch of brainwashed teens???!!!
- nonsense in the finale and ambiguous ending (could have been a dream)
- too many flashbacks in the finale
- odd camera work (like close ups of 1 part of the body like an ear)
