Hioki’s natural shyness is so endearing. He is still figuring out how to express his feelings, while Watarai struggles with how little time they can spend together now that they are in different classes.What I liked most was Hioki quietly taking the initiative. Waking Watarai early so they could have breakfast together is a small gesture, but it tells him something important: Hioki wants to spend time with him too. His inexperience does not make his feelings any less real.Their three friends were lovely in this episode. They help the couple find time together and take Hioki’s questions seriously. That warmth makes the friendship scenes just as enjoyable as the romance.Hioki’s bashful expressions could win me over as easily as they do Watarai. Watching them, I kept thinking how every place they visit and every meal they share will become part of their memories of first love.

Hioki will forever be my favorite (on par with Tsujitani - have to admit - love the nutter) but i also love Watarai's friend group - i don't think i have seen a more supporting, caring group of young teens ever. they understand their friend & help Hioki not by guilting him into a corner, but explain their friend & his feeling to him. this was such a wholesome ep cause of them. & still would love to understand why Watarai is this insecure, but am happy that all he needed was Hioki reaffirming his love & making his feelings clear. that wasn't much to ask but u need to know how to ask for it, so am glad Watarai's friend were there to speak for him. **********************************************************************************************************************but this just the start & there 8 more eps to go so i doubt it would be smooth sailing from start to finish, in comes the ex gf - who i help will explain Watarai's insecurities.
