Well paced storyline, well executed and good cast

I have enjoyed this short drama and found myself snapping up each 15minute episodes. This may be the usual young prodigy survive initial hardship to achieve great powers storyline, it is an enjoyable and credible watch. The cgi is decent and there was some character development despite the short episodes. Although the ending is to be continued, l am looking forward to the impending fight between the good and evil in the next segment.

A visual feast and a lot of fun

This show starts out as a repeating comedy. The various sect disciples & elders are total absusive, ignorant a**holes who keep insisting that the ML is a piece of trash. He proves them wrong and presents clear evidence he's beyond what they thought and they all shut up for ... about 5 minutes. Then the next challenge of the story presents itself and the whole cycle repeats. Each time the various fools in his way say silly, ridiculous things and set arbitrary, ridiculous thresholds and each time he survives and exceeds. Eventually, it just becomes comedy. Like an SNL sketch (with much cooler special effects, of course!). And it's crazy just how stupid and morally broken nearly all the characters are in this world. The only truly decent characters are the Wife, the three Sword Immortals and Elder Yun. The ML is mostly in the 'right', but is starting to struggle a bit with where the Dugo Sword is taking him. Definitely agree with other fans who say it all felt like 'villain arc' but I think it is not that simple. As with other commenters, I'm eager to see if they do produce a sequel. Wifey's grin and comment at the end were intriguing. Overall, this was a fun, entertaining show. The production values are very good - some of the visual effects are delicious eye candy. The OST was pretty good too, especially for a short-format production. That cast was fully of beautiful people who all looked like they enjoyed this experience.

An incomplete drama is never going to be above an 8.0

Ok so this drama did some things REALLY well. It was all together, very entertaining. Not focusing too much on dumb/irrelevant characters and a lot of it was pretty logical/straightforward.

The ML got dumb lucky all the time but that is simply the troupe of the drama so we overlook it.

I bought the express package on wetv showing I really did like it. Some scenes were simply awesome and i cheered for the ML. The ML is serious and takes his vengeance agenda seriously. In comparison to 'Be Yourself' where the ML is so ditzy and silly, this drama does just about everything better. (Side Note: Be Yourself is supposed to be a prequel but has no relation to this drama other than sharing some of the same actors and the ML's name)

On a whole, despite me enjoying the drama, nothing was tied up at the end because the story is "TO BE CONTINUED" - the unresolved love story, the unresolved everything means this drama gets dropped from whatever high rating to 8.0 because it's simply incomplete (when it didn't need to be).

All together 100% worth a watch but just like a lot of newly made vertical dramas that are going for "2 part series" and never releasing a 2nd part, it definitely weakens a short drama that otherwise has solid acting, a ML and FL that one can root for, and an interesting and entertaining storyline that will keep you interested from the start to finish.

A Sequel But Not A Sequel

I thought it's a sequel until the more I watch the more I feel off and only realized it's a different plot although it's an awesome made plot but the betrayal of setting us up as a sequel from the previous title of "Be Yourself" getting our hopes up then crush it isn't nice.

Now TO BE CONTINUED... Are we expecting another sequel of a whole different story line with the same character names?

A popcorn Xianxia

Honestly its a surprise but i'have a big pleasure to watch an episode each morning before going to work.

This is a short drama with 12 minutes episode each and there almost no story BUT, like the prequel "Be yourself", it's a pure Xianxia popcorn with very good CGI.
You have the ML who have no power, he save a woman who is like the demon queen, she gave her an immortal bone for lets him cultivate once again and after that its just the ML who kick some ass each episode.

Its nothing serious but its fun, very nice looking, so ye for a short drama it's doing the job.
