Would it be the same if we went back when we were 19...?

I wasn't positive when I was starting this drama cause of the tags it had and obviously reading all the comments but thank god I picked it and I absolutely LOVED this GEM!!!!!
At first I wasn't liking the way they male lead and the second female lead and Xiao Xiao were behaving but then the character development was just amazing
- the thing I like most about this is their chemistry was unbelievable their goofiness, they way they talk I loved it
I won't we spoiling much but it a guaranteed re- watchable drama
1000/10
LOVED IT
GEM OF 2015 for sure

Just L O V E this show

I just Love this series and have watched it, no kidding, at least 100 times and counting, I guess you could say I'm obsessed, lol. I love all the actors but, Wallace Chung & Tiffany Tang are just so well suited together in this, they couldn't have picked a better couple to play the main characters in this show. The little boy is the most adorable little boy, wish there had been more with him in it. Everyone's part was played so well by all, I plan to keep going back to watch until they remove it off Netflix, I might even see if I can buy the series on DVD. :o) Going to look into more shows WC has starred in but, you can't beat this show, the first I have seen WC in, I just L O V E him. This horrid COVID 19 has spoiled a LOT of love scenes in these movies that have been made since 2019 or earlier, DAMN!! Stay healthy everyone we need to see more of you!!
I have to comment on the clothes TT wore, 50% were atrocious, they were cheap looking and looked like rags, they certainly didn't allow a big budget for her clothes she wore in this series. :o(
Watch this show if you need or want something entertaining and are into love stories, it's so well done you'll just keep watching it over and over again, I'm sure. E N J O Y !!

Slow but good ...

It is a story of flirtatious girl but in a good way ,who fallen in love with a boy when she saw him first time and she only did flirt with him . She follows him all the the time . First for him she irritated him but slowly slowly he started liking her and hence their love story started . Something happened he broke up with her ,she didn't argue with him and left him . After so many years when they met everyone think that she dumped him not he and she never explained it . When she asked him why everybody thought that he told her the reason why he broke-up with her for this she say sorry to him . Then he let her considered it was a normal couple quarrel so why she left him ,why she didn't argue . So he wanted to say that she was responsible for their break up. . In between they had some misunderstanding too
But all is well when ends well .
It is a normal story like other love story . I prefer to those who like love story and out of who , who bear slow drama.
Acting was good their young age characters are my favourite .

When the beginning of the drama till Ep5 - really one question pop. How do casting team find two totally different male lead - one as young him, another the adult him. And I saw news regarding C-netizen complained....7 years separated, male lead went to plastic surgery. LOL

I actually don’t mind both, I quite like both - maybe the team feel that adult ones doesn’t suit to act younger version so found another casts however the difference just happen to be extremely obvious.....

I find younger version really sweet - especially the young female lead! I like her playing student role! Especially now I currently watching “I only like you”

Worth to watch, definitely :)

Favorite drama ever!!

I really enjoyed watching this drama so much that easily became my favorite drama to watch ever!
Even though this drama falls more on the melodrama or in the dramatic category, I still loved it so much. Do not watch it if you're expecting light romance, because with this one is hard to not cry your eyes out.
This drama starts during the present time where the main characters (He Yichen and Zhao Moshen) start recollecting their love story during college years ago up until the misunderstanding that caused them to break up and each go their separate ways. Honestly, the love story shown during their university days is very similar to a lot of dramas out there where the male lead is really smart with a cold appearance and the female lead isn't that smart and really bubbly. After they break up, that's where the storyline differs from the typical "sweethearts" drama.
In this drama, both He Yichen and Zhao Moshen are stuck in a love triangle, although they always loved each other in spite of the years that passed by. Due to these love triangles and the years spent apart, there's multiples misunderstanding that rises up during the plot but eventually, everything is cleared up.
I do recommend you to get some comfort food while watching this drama because you're gonna need it!

Simple plot, excellent execution

There's something about this drama that really appeals to me. I can't really pinpoint one thing exactly. Maybe it's the general feel of the drama. Their college life was so adorable but the bulk of the drama was set after the break up 7 years later. They've grown up with all this pain and yet, manage to end up together. And they continue to be epically sweet after they get together.

One thing, though, is that if anyone in real life actually did what He Yi Chen does around ep 14, the results would probably be catastrophic. Marrying someone while there are so many unsolved problems is usually not the best idea. Actually, a lot of things in the drama would probably not be a good idea in real life. Though, I did appreciate his advice near the end that time isn't the best way to test a relationship.

Anyway, I loved this drama to bits, despite its flaws. I've re-watched the whole series a good 4-5 times now. And thanks to this drama, I ended up being a huge fan of Wallace Chung. :)

After watching Wallace Chung in all out of love and too late to say I love you and enjoying his on screen charisma and ability to draw our chemistry with his female leads with even the worst story line I decided to watch more of his dramas.

You are my sunshine is a fairly simple feel good drama, the love story starts from college days between the young couple and here the female leads chases after the male lead in a kinda cute way until he fell for her, his jealous half sister decided to come between them and told mo Sheng that she is in love with her brother Yi Shen and when mo Sheng wanted to clarify, Yi chen angrily told her to stay away from him because of her father’s proposition to him and she assuming that he broke up with her decided to leave for USA where other events eventually led her to stay for the next 7 years .

Yi chen became broken hearted, finished school and became successful but he kept hoping his Mo Sheng would return back to him and he kept waiting Until one day 7 years after when he was almost going to look for her in USA before giving up, he sees her again back in shanghai, he was initially angry at her and eventually seeking her out with the excuse of a law suit from her friend, he finally found out she had gotten married for 3 years in USA which further broke his heart and he refused to hear Mo Sheng side of the story even after she told him she he also divorced, then Yi chen suddenly decided to get married to Mo Sheng and they went to register their marriage and started living together but with a strained relationship.

Mo Sheng ex fake husband suddenly realized that he lost a good potential wife and since he didn’t finish his divorce proceeding decided to go and win Mo Sheng back as his real wife and he used all manner of schemes to make Yi chen give up on Mo Sheng but Yi chen wasn’t ready to let go but instead started getting closer to Mo Sheng until he began to trust her completely again.

He eventually solved all the problematic hurdles and got married to Mosheng and they have a son

Xiao Xiao and Yi Feng also had a lovely relationship in this drama

And everyone basically got a happy ending. Al cast chemistry was really good

Take this review with a grain of salt because I've tried watching this drama for 4 times. Once a year since 2015 before I finally got the chance to appreciate it now in 2019. Now that I'm finally done with it, I'll say it was good. It took a looooooong time before it got better. I'd say in the 20-ish episode already. It needs a good mood and maybe a much mature mindset to appreciate this drama because it is about relationships. The nuances and the silence took a large play in the treatment of the director. The times I've watched it, I had been to a lot of different frequencies and maybe now was the right moment for me that's why I get past all the long winding episodes, only to realize later on that these are establishing of a lot of things for later.

Wallace Chung is a gem. I've always thought he is the Lee Seung Gi of China. They have the same aura, and they both sing their OSTs too. He did He Yi Chen justice.

To everyone who are planning to drop this drama, trust me it gets better.

Terrible. No good. Bad. Gross, et al.

The only redeeming thing about this drama is the teenage scenes with Janice Wu and Luo Yun Xi. Loved them. As usual, Janice Wu creates a charming and loveable character. The ML is stoic and hard to reach, but he doesn't stand a chance with the FL. Actor played it well. The rest of it is so gross, I don't know what to say. Terrible terrible acting. I compare this show with those Chinese dramas that are two hours long with no Title, but BAD. NO continuity between the characters in the past and present. Yes, I get that she was beat down with life, but she changed into an unrecognizable character. Him too. And to blame HER when completely and utterly dumped her, the later said she was totally wrong and should have asked him about it? Nutcase. And in the present, he stalks and abuses her mentally and physically. In fact all the males are stalkerish to her. She stands there like a damp cloth soaking it all in. I don't know how many ways I can say it was revolting. And the hairstyles? What. The. Heck. And when he tells her she has a crappy haircut? I know, I'm nitpicking, but dang.

Didn't pay attention to the music, so gave it mid range.

I'm told there is a director's cut out there with the adult actors doing the childhood scenes. Why take out the only redeeming feature of the show? It would have been better for the young actors to play the adult parts in the entire show. I don't even remember the support cast.

I wanted to write this review as I just finished it. This show took me a very long time to watch. It's very very very slow. The flashback is an overkill. After the first episode, I wanted to call it quits. I love Tiffany so I wanted to give her show a try. So I continued up to about episode 6. I had to put it down again because it was putting me to sleep. I didn't care for her character at all. Where is the backbone? You're not the one who has done something wrong? Why the guilt? I'm not sure if I care for Wallace's character either. He's the one that broke her heart, but why did he have Such a hatred for her? Why sis he let people believe that she was the one who broke his heart? Since I ran out of something to watch, I decided to give this show one more chance.

I'm glad I finished watching it. Although it is still slow, you get to see how their relationship redeveloped from puppy love to true love. No matter the distance and the time, the love is there. They are cute together during happier times. Not too sure if I cared for Yi Mei's character. Simply put it...get over it. Move on with your life... I did like yuan fei and Xiao Xiao's relationship before it became a relationship.

Some parts of the show didn't come to an end..like the relationship with Tiffany and her mother... the outcome of the ex-husband, and the innocence of her dad. I Know they are not the lead characters, but at least give them a conclusion.

Would I recommend this? Probably not unless you are a fan of both Tiffany and Wallace.

Bad writing and slow pacing.

I didn't enjoy this drama. The pacing is slow and the writing / story isn't good. The FL character tried my patience with the insipid behaviour whenever the ML enters her orbit in the first 15 episodes. Struck dumb and timid every time he talks to her and he walks all over her. This is such a huge contrast and contradiction to the younger version of the FL character when she was a student. This is when the viewers can see what is it about the FL that attracts the ML and how they formed their relationship.

If the FL could overcome the challenges of living and interacting with foreigners in the US and has a good solid career, it makes no sense she becomes a craven when she meets the ML. It's not as if she committed a crime against him and inflicted a serious physical injury.

The hairstyle of the FL is awful btw.

I personally don't really like this drama as i found that, the flow of the story just too too slow!!!! The young male lead just too cool .....(coldblooded) even having such a cute and adorable girl friend Mok Shen don't really feel the chemistry between them. The young male lead just know to kiss the young female lead and not seeing care and love....that making me feel so annoying! Furthermore, i can only feel the young female lead showing her care on the young male lead and the male lead like too self inferior toward the relationship with Mok Shen.

Even after 7 years Mok Shen came back home from the States yet the male lead attitude toward Mok Shen also like never changed n lack of chemistry , care n love to Mok Shen. Yi chen just too self inferior toward love and like a coward toward love. Till ep 12...... i cant see the sparks and chemistry of the 2 main leads. The characteristics and personality of Mok Shen has been totally changed like had been experienced a big disastrous in her life throughout the past 7 years in the States , which i really don't understand. i still like the young Mok Shen so adorable and cute.

Even i have finished up to 12 Episode yet feeling the drama so lacking and the flow is super slow without making any excitements and fun to continue watching it.......

The relationship between Yi Chen n Mok Shen just like a joke......after married yet not seeing love, care and not even a basic concern from Yi chen to Mok Shen the marriage was so dull and not even having a mutual interest.......so sarcastic!

What a disappointment !!!!
