Mun Ka Young and Cha Eun Woo to possibly reunite for a new K-drama
The highly anticipated Sacred Jewel has unveiled a new poster.
Sacred Jewel takes place in 1258 (Goryeo Dynasty), when defeat loomed after years of war with the Mongols. The story follows the heroic struggle of an expedition unit that sets out in search of a sacred relic believed to protect the nation, as well as a princess who strives to save them.
The poster features Ahn Bo Hyun, who plays Baek Gyeol, a doryeong and the special mission commander of the Gwaneumboju escort party. Standing against the backdrop of a battlefield, Baek Gyeol exudes a powerful presence with eyes filled with deep sorrow and a solemn expression.
The scars scattered across his face and hands hint at the fierce battles he has endured. Meanwhile, the way he firmly grips his sword conveys Baek Gyeol's unwavering determination not to retreat easily in the face of any threat. The poster vividly captures the heavy responsibility he bears to protect the Gwaneumboju at the heart of the battlefield.
The massive procession of troops stretching out behind Baek Gyeol also draws attention. The military force extending from the ground toward Baek Gyeol foreshadows the enormous scale of the war that Sacred Jewel will depict. In addition, breathtaking panoramic views unfolding along the Baekdu Daegan mountain range and the Han River watershed raise anticipation for a grand journey across vast natural landscapes.
The phrase, "In the year 1258, with the king's approval, ten Yabyeolcho warriors were dispatched," succinctly hints at the enormous crisis Baek Gyeol will soon face.
