Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
Cha Chung Hwa is joining the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama My Troublesome Star.
On July 21, it was officially confirmed that Cha Chung Hwa's third K-drama for 2025 will be My Troublesome Star.
After Spring of Youth, which ended early this month, Cha Chung Hwa will greet viewers once again through the new rom-com K-drama.
Back in April, Cha Chung Hwa also starred in the historical romance series The Haunted Palace, led by Yook Sung Jae, WJSN's Bo Na, Kim Ji Hoon, Kim Sang Ho, and Kim In Kwon.
After two K-dramas this year where she supported younger leads, Cha Chung Hwa will now take on a supporting role in a middle-aged romance.
Known for stealing scenes in supporting roles, Cha Chung Hwa has made a significant impact in hit K-dramas such as My Demon, Song of the Bandits, See You in My 19th Life, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Mr. Queen, Crash Landing on You, and more.

My Troublesome Star will revolve around a top young actress whose career is abruptly interrupted by an accident. Twenty-five years later, she navigates a comeback, facing the challenges of a significant career gap.
This will be the next joint project of director Choi Young Hoon (Pandora: Beneath the Paradise and One the Woman) and writer Park Ji Ha (Miss Night and Day). The two previously worked together in the K-drama Good Casting.
Cha Chung Hwa will work alongside main leads Uhm Jung Hwa, Song Seung Heon, Lee El, Oh Dae Hwan, Jang Da A, and Lee Min Jae.
In the upcoming K-drama, Cha Chung Hwa takes on the role of Min Tae Sook, the owner of a high-end makeup shop. She's a trusted friend of Im Se Ra (Uhm Jung Hwa) and a favorite among top stars.
My Troublesome Star will begin airing on August 18 at 10 PM KST. It will exclusively air on the broadcast channel ENA.
