Dylan Wang, Wang Yi Bo, Li Xian, Tan Song Yun, more support charity efforts with generous donations
Singer and actress IU has once again made a generous donation, this time to mark her 33rd birthday.
On May 16, her agency, EDAM Entertainment, stated, "Today, on her birthday, IU donated a total of 300 million won [approx. $2,00,000] under the name 'IUaena' (IU + Uaena, her official fan club)."
This donation was distributed as follows: 100 million won to Asan Medical Center, and 50 million won each to Walking with Us, Milk Delivery: Asking About the Well-Being of the Elderly, Korea Unwed Mothers' Families Association, and Warm Companion.
A representative from EDAM Entertainment explained, "The donations will be used for practical support for various groups, including assistance for patients facing financial hardship, educational and cultural support for children and adolescents, care for elderly people living alone, support for vulnerable single-mother families, and provision of advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities."
IU is widely known in the entertainment industry as a "donation angel". On occasions such as her debut anniversary, birthday, and year-end holidays, she has consistently continued making donations under the name IUAENA. Earlier, on May 5, on the occasion of Korea's Children's Day, she donated 100 million won to support youth.
The singer and actress is currently gracing the small screen in the MBC drama Perfect Crown, starring alongside Byeon Woo Seok.
