Cha Eun Woo, Kang Ha Neul, and Kim Young Kwang's 'The First Ride' aims for a 2025 premiere

The star-studded extravaganza, The First Ride, starring Kang Ha Neul, Kim Young Kwang, Cha Eun Woo, Kang Young Seok, and Han Sun Hwa, has confirmed October release. 

The First Ride is a comedy that follows Tae Jeong (Kang Ha Neul), Do Jin (Kim Young Kwang), Yeon Min (Cha Eun Woo), Geum Bok (Kang Young Seok), and Ok Sim (Han Sun Hwa) — who have been friends for 24 years — embarking on their first trip abroad, which spirals into a storm of unexpected chaos. 

The first poster hints at the special bond and vibrant chemistry of the five friends, who become increasingly reckless and brave the more they are together. 

With its fresh casting of Kang Ha Neul, Kim Young Kwang, Cha Eun Woo, Kang Young Seok, and Han Sun Hwa, and under the direction of Nam Dae Joong, The First Ride promises plentiful laughter and a healing viewing experience.

On the day before his enlistment, July 27, Cha Eun Woo expressed his anticipation through a YouTube live broadcast, saying, "The First Ride is fun, but I'm a bit sad. I really wanted to attend the theatrical premiere, so it's a bit unfortunate that I won't be there then. Filming the movie was so much fun, and I feel happy and proud about it."

Cha Eun Woo applied to the military service this past May and was accepted. He enlisted on July 28 and will be discharged on January 27, 2027.
