SBS gives a glimpse of upcoming K-drama lineup

On May 27, the costume political intrigue drama Qia Feng Chun (literal title), produced by Mango TV, officially began filming in Hengdian. Director Wang Wei attended the commencement ceremony alongside lead actors Deng Enxi and Winwin, as well as the main creative team and cast.

The drama is adapted from the popular novel "庶女生存手册" by Yu Jing Peng Xiang. The series will consist of 40 episodes, with filming scheduled to last approximately 120 days, and is expected to air on Hunan TV and Mango TV.
The story centers on Yang Shan Heng, played by Deng Enxi, a daughter born to a concubine. Despite her humble origins, she is intelligent and resilient. Amid the vicious power struggles within the household and the turmoil of the imperial court, she carefully plans every move, relying on her wisdom and perseverance to overcome adversity.
Winwin plays Xu Feng Jia, the heir of the Duke of Pingguo household — a proud yet affectionate young general. His relationship with the heroine evolves from suspicion to standing side by side.

Deng Enxi is considered a precise fit for the core essence of the heroine — someone who "holds onto kindness while making calculated decisions." Meanwhile, Winwin portrays a youthful general clad in splendid attire, with both his visuals and compatibility with the role seen as perfectly aligned.
The supporting cast includes Fang Jin, Ke Ying, He Rui Xian, Huang Meng Ying, and Zhou Chen Gao.
The series deeply blends household survival struggles with court intrigue, featuring not only psychological battles within the grand residence but also the patriotic ideals and emotional bonds of young men and women.
