On April 6, Wang Hedi, aka Dylan Wang, was surrounded by multiple individuals after he completed a non-public basketball schedule.
Footage from the scene shows fans surrounding, filming, and photographing him at extremely close range. According to the reports, one individual among them held a phone too close. Wang knocked the device away with his hand and was escorted away by accompanying security personnel.
Dylan Wang's fan club issued a statement strongly condemning the behavior and announced that they would cooperate with the studio to "pursue legal responsibility in accordance with the law."
After footage from the scene circulated, reactions in the comment section became sharply divided. Fans voiced support for Wang Hedi, arguing that the behavior had infringed upon his rights.

On August 25, 2025, a Weibo user who claimed to be a fan of Wang Hedi posted a 27-minute audio recording video. She alleged that in the early hours of the 25th, she had recorded Wang Hedi engaged in a heated argument with a woman outside a hotel room in Xinjiang.
The released recording quickly spread across the internet, with topics such as "wanghediarguingwithamysteriousgirlfriend," "wang hediinaten-yearrelationship," and "wanghedirecording" trending on Chinese social media.
At the time, the law firm handling the case issued a statement saying that on August 29, Wang Hedi formally entrusted lawyers to initiate legal proceedings to defend his rights.
The firm noted that the individual involved had, without permission, "eavesdropped on and recorded conversations occurring in a private space," and "edited the recordings before publicly releasing them on online platforms," actions suspected of seriously infringing upon Wang Hedi's rights.
Subsequently, his studio reiterated that it would not accept any form of settlement or mediation and that it would show zero tolerance toward all illegal acts.
