Girls Generation's Choi Soo Young is making her debut in Hollywood!
Hospital Playlist main leads will reportedly join the cast of Resident Playbook.
On April 10, media outlet Joy News reported that the Hospital Playlist 99z squad consisting of Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung, and Jeon Mi Do will make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming K-drama Resident Playbook. According to reports, actor Kim Joon Han (An Chi Hong) will also appear briefly in the series.
This isn't the first instance of speculation surrounding cameo appearances by the Hospital Playlist cast in Resident Playbook. Previous reports also indicated a special appearance by Ahn Eun Jin (Chu Min Ha). In response to these reports, the Resident Playbook production team has stated that viewers should tune in to the broadcast for confirmation, refraining from official confirmation.
Besides the possibility of cast cameos, fans are also wondering if Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung, and Jeon Mi Do will come back as the band Mido and Falasol to sing an OST for the new K-drama. tvN has announced the OST artist lineup but kept two secrets, and a teaser silhouette has led many to believe that Mido and Falasol are among them.
Resident Playbook is a spin-off of the popular K-drama Hospital Playlist. This series will showcase the real-life stories, friendships, and struggles of obstetrics and gynecology residents at Jongno Yulje Hospital.
Director Lee Min Soo (The Secret House and Good For You) and writer Kim Song Hee will work together to create the series. The original team of Hospital Playlist director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung will also join the production of the K-drama as creators.
Go Youn Jung, Shin Shi Ah, Kang Yoo Seok, Jung Joon Won, Han Ye Ji, and Lee Bong Ryun will work together to bring life to the story of the K-drama.
Resident Playbook will premiere on April 12. The K-drama will have a total of 12 episodes. The K-drama will exclusively premiere on tvN and TVING.
