Lee Jung Jae joins Mun Ka Young in talks to star in director Choi Dong Hoon's upcoming film Sparrow.

If accepted, it will mark their first collaboration in 11 years since Assassination.

On October 22, Max Movie reported that Lee Jung Jae received an offer to star in director Choi Dong Hoon's new project Sparrow sometime around July or August. At the time, Lee reportedly expressed his willingness to appear in the film. However, he has not yet officially confirmed his participation or signed a written contract.

A representative from Lee Jung Jae's agency, Artist Company, told Max Movie, "Lee Jung Jae received an offer to appear in director Choi Dong Hoon's new film Sparrow." The representative added, "He is currently reviewing the script. His appearance has not been confirmed."

Lee Jung Jae previously worked with director Choi Dong Hoon on Assassination (2015) and The Thieves (2012). Expectations are high over whether they will create another box-office success with their new film.

Director Choi Dong Hoon's new film Sparrow, which he has reportedly been writing for over a year and a half, is an espionage, mystery, and crime drama.

Preparations are underway, with filming planned to begin in the first half of 2027.
